Hey Roy. My name is Tom 68 years young!! Saw the fabs in Hamburg with Jimmy vaughan Live!! Best Concert ever seen and hearing!! Keep on rocking Brother...cheers
Damn Fabolous Thunderbirds spent the many days in oak Cliff Texas listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan double trouble and the fabulous Thunderbirds can't get no better than that
Take no prisoners. Fantastic piano. Great guitar work. No blues harp on this one. Man this rocks. Fabulous performance. So much talent. The more I listen the more I like. Reminds me of the Blasters.
I love the fact that a great harmonica player such as Kim Wilson knows that he does not have to play harmonica on every song. It shows that he cares about the arrangement and the songs themselves more than himself. He knows he is good and does not have to prove it to anyone.
That piano playing! He makes the others look like his backing band. Sensational! If I could learn a musical instrument, I would chose the keyboards. This piano exhibition just shows why. Wonderful! What an atmosphere!.
I have watched every version, era and performers of this number, this is by far the best. The energy and talent in this is unreal only thing is I worry about the piano players heart
Fantastic...I love all of these guys from James Harman band. Kid Ramos, of course, but as a keyboard player, I have to say Gene Taylor (piano) stands out!
So much fun. I've seen the Thunderbirds many times from the very earliest on when Jimmie Vaughn, Fran Christina and Keith Ferguson backed Kim Wilson, including this iteration with Kid Ramos, Willie Campbell and Gene Taylor at Bimbo's 365 Club in San Francisco....always a good time
This is the best mix of blues and rock'n'roll i can think of. The piano is superb and the rest of the band too. Straight and pure as i like it :-) I wish that the Blues Brothers perform that song - but it's not possible...
This band has been burning up the south for as long as I can remember and if you ever hear them you always remember how they're always excellent. Proper management would have had them at the top of the charts longer than they were. They are really two bands. The one that aimed for the charts and the one that came afterward. This is the kind of music they play the best but doesn't get played on the radio.
@@rossclark9155 Austin Texas in the 1970s those were the days , The Rome Inn , The Armadillo World Headquarters, Antone's, The Onenite. , man it was rocking , does anyone remember Jim Tugboat Smith
Excellent!!! I've been listening to these guys for 26 years.. There still as good as they ever were.. I give this a involuntary thumbs up.. I did not know they were still playing doing gigs... That's great... My father got me listening to these guys back in 88 I believe.. A song called... Powerful stuff.. I loved it then and I still love it!!!
I can't remember how many years it's been, but I saw them jammin' together on the Austin City Limits tv show. There may be a video of it here on the tube..Delbert is one of my favs. What more can be said about Kim Wilson. We both grew up in SoCal (about 40 miles apart) so I've seen many of his shows here local, he never ever let's the crowd down. He and Delbert on the same stage was pretty special.
I've seen Stevie 11 times and these cats opened for him about 7 out of those 11. Couldn't ask for a better band to warm up for Stevie, they got the house rocking.
Cracking number, The late Gene Taylor on piano, sporting a James Harman Band T-shirt. Kid Ramos on lead guitar. Legends on stage... Music to dance to..Real music 🎶
For Those Who Might Not Be Aware,, Jimmie's Son (Stevie's Nephew) Is Carrying On The Family Tradition,, TYRONE VAUGHAN "GOIN' HOME"..Stevie Would Be So Proud..R.I.P. 🙏
some people have no musical taste, the thunderbirds are just rockin' the house. Gene Taylor is just Killin it on the 88s, Jerry Lee, Fats, Little Richard, & all the greats would be impressed. Kim's vocal is one of his best performances. they remind me of the nighthawks in the 70s & 80s. Off the chain🎸
Seen these guys so many times. Las time in Mt Snow Vermont..blues fest. What a TRIP that was, great bands& magic mushrooms. They played in Rhode Island alot,Knickerbockers..with Duke Robalard.
The first band was so different, so many threads, blues, norteno, texas swing, cool head wear. times change, guys got to make a living. Great road band for a lotta years. Not an easy way to live. Thanks guys.
