Lyrics:
Within a projected reality of objective physicality
Lies a false sense of universal disconnection
We are an indivisible whole separated by perspective
And at a greater depth,
Lies the holographic structure painted upon the cosmos
Gaze beyond the matrix
Beyond the eidolon reality, blinding me, a connection unfolds
Past, present and future interpenetration
Subatomic communication
Sacred geometrics of superior precognition
Within a projected reality of objective physicality
Lies a false sense of universal disconnection
We are an indivisible whole separated by perspective
And at a greater depth, lies the holographic structure
The mental landscapes withheld in the confines of the matrix
A quantum disconnection from the realm of actuality
Beyond the eidolon reality, blinding me, a connection unfolds
Within a projected reality of objective physicality
Black hole portals of zero-point energy manifesting infinity

I am obssessed with this record, I was also with Planetary duality, but this is so artistic, extreme, dark, fast, beautiful and there is a lack of words to describe it, the solos...the chords, the clean voices, the growls, Lyle is a human metronome, this is one of the records that devastated my mind, as before happened with, opeth, cynic & death.

It's honestly the best they've had in the band's lifespan. Great clean tones, natural sounding drums, good mixing, rich sounding vocals. It sounds so balanced, while for all the other albums I can point out some minor or more important flaws

man I love these lyrics :) the holographic universe theory is pretty awesome
@tonyc8796
@tonyc8796 7 лет назад
skategio23 it is quite falable, also since the Higgs Boson has been discovered as the binding particle of all modern physics and matter, but after extensive research done at the LHC, scientists were left stunned as it's atomic weight was supposed to outline the direction (according to theory) of whether we should lean more towards the universe being the act of creationism or randomization; instead it was almost dead center between the theorized weights, which also meant (which is quite terrifying) the atomic mass of the Higgs Boson has changed and very possibly will change, meaning existence/reality could disappear or be reformed in an instance, whether it be by the merging/birthing of another universe in the infinite multiverse, the crossing of dimensional rifts between pressurized forms of yet undetected matter (ex: dark matter), or by DIVINE INTERVENTION/God. I believe in God.

The people complaining about the clean vocals don't understand music at a fundamental level. The modulation on the word "reality" gives it so much character.

People will talk trash cause it's not what they expected or sounds very different from their previous releases have sounded like, but in my opinion this album is fantastic. The cleans kind of grew on me. Aside from the clean vocals, which do not MAKE the album, great musicianship and awesome lyrics. This is album is great especially in this era where not many bands write music with such composition anymore. It's either breakdown ridden or mindless blastbeats and shreddy guitar with no emotion.

+Famalam 1. People doing what they want (with consent) with other people is bad? 2. Embryos aren't babies. 3. Being gay doesn't affect anyone other than those who think it's icky, grow up. 4. Marriage is a severely outdated concept. Adhering to a religion does not assure morality, only that they cannot choose their ideals for themselves.
@caixiuying8901
@caixiuying8901 7 лет назад
Famalam I spent most of my life atheist and sexually reserved, yet my baptist friend gets laid all the time. Funny how stereotypes don't always work, and funny that I no longer consider myself atheist but I'm more accepting of people's differences. Even as ex-atheist, I think the notion of people believing in god for the wrong reasons and using that as an excuse to get away with causing suffering anyways still holds true.

Michael Keene is one of my favorite characters in this world. In this song he sees the world as a simulation. Michael Keene is very smart and a very talented dude. he is also very cool like the rest of the faceless. too bad Lyle left to pursue other projects. i share the faceless' view and I'm a Filipino! Mark Holcomb is a Filipino, too. I also love periphery. I will chase the unseen far beyond to be not be blinded by the holographic structure!

Personally, Metal is metal! Cryptopsy did the same thing with The Unspoken King. Sure it may not be 100% guttural vocals. It just adds some variety to the death metal we listen to. If you like it cleaned up, Cool, If not, That's your own preference.

everyone keeps saying the pre production cleans were better, and that's cool, but I really think the vocals are better here. Even though this vocal is more layered and the pre was more of his natural voice, it sounded too thin there, this has a lot more depth...solidarity. Superior imo.
