I appreciate that! Hopefully one day but I gotta continue to put the work in. Either way it’s just a blessing for me that people watch & support my videos period
@@JKJ002 keep it up man doing good. Video idea the rise of Fleck and Minnesota football. Honestly you could make 2 separate videos on this because without Fleck there is no Minnesota.
As a Southwest Louisiana native, it was awesome to see Trey Quinn have such fantastic success, however brief, for SMU. Yes Barbe, his high-school, are the hated rival's to my hometown high-school but I can't hold it against him. He's still in the NFL and was Mr Irrelevant when he was drafted. Also SMU has some of the best uniforms in college football. The Red, White, Blue combinations are fantastic. And the actual live mascot is one of the best around.
SMU isn't getting in the Big 12. The conference is not inviting another school which doesn't play baseball, seeing as Iowa State doesn't. A school with that much of an endowment in a city with an MLB franchise which doesn't have a baseball team is a JOKE.
As an SMU fan, I’ve never been this grateful to have a 10 win season. The last time we had a 10 win season in 1984. YES, 1984! What’s depressing is that my father went to SMU in the middle of their death penalty. I was basically born in a time where SMU was recording a bunch of lows. I’m excited to see a rebirth of this young, talented team.
The Ace So in terms of College Football, currently I have videos planned for Arkansas, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Clemson, Appalachian State, Missouri, Iowa State, & Boise State. I probably will do more but these are the ones that I for sure have my focus on for the near future for College Football related videos
@Shrim God I'm vibing with a new American Athletic conference which has Vanderbilt , Northwestern , Rutgers , Arkansas , Kansas , Missouri , Maryland , Nebraska , Tennessee , Duke and Georgia Tech aka. Trimming some of the fat from the power of five. Then SMU , Houston and Memphis move to the big 12 , Baylor and Texas move to the SEC , UCF and Georgia State (on the condition they beat Tennessee again to prove it wasn't a fluke) move to the ACC , Cinncinnati moves to the big 10 and UAB/App State move to the American Athletic
Nah just needs to be about how Chode Morris came in and literally trashed the program. Before Chode Arkansas was somewhat a respected program and actually showed they were a football team until Chode showed up and brought them down drastically.
Let's compare what led to SMU's death penalty vs. Penn State NOT getting a death penalty. Total screw job to SMU, they didn't deserve anything nearly so severe whereas Penn State got off super easy imo.
@@PerunaMuayThai Keep telling yourself that 'Stang fan. You just made argument that the schools should be paying players. Let's see how a SMU would do then against deep pocketed public schools
It's amazing how SMU turned things around recently. That top 25 ranking was a huge shock to me when I first saw it. I'm also really enjoying the work you've put into these videos. This channel will explode very soon I reckon.
Sunny is a good coach he recruiting local DFW ( Dallas & Fort worth) young men and other TX Young men for the program SMU I'm from Dallas so I hear about it
SMU was this 🤏🏿 Close to becoming a Power 5 School until the NCAA Violations Destroyed them. but with the New NIL and transfer portal era. They can Now Pay players Legally and work to Dominating like they did in the Past And thrive I believe they will be one of them Schools to eat in this Era
A lot of people are sleeping on the Tulane Vs SMU rivalry. Two teams from private schools in big cities overshadowed by storied powers. AND every game that SMU and Tulane have played against each other has been amazing. In a few years this is going to be the major rivalry in the AAC mark my words
I have great memories and enjoyed the Pony Express, Mustang Mania era as a student. (79-83). We got to play at the old Texas Stadium. Hall of Fame running back, E.Dickerson, was a classmate during my freshman year.
This is why the NCAA never envoked the "death penalty" again. It was such a devastating blow that it even destroyed the Southwest Conference because SMU's "stain" reflected badly on the rest of the conference.
Nice recap. The only thing I would add is that when Jones left the coaching job it was two games into a near winless season where we won the last game against a 1 win team and he didn't leave it in a better place than he found it. The dude just would not recruit very hard at the end there and that season was a garbage fire.
You know, this scandal would not have existed if NIL (name image and likeness) occurred earlier. They probably would’ve been a National powerhouse and be a member in the big 12 conference instead of the conference USA.
There's something so satisfying about the construction of a football team from a more obscure, smaller college (at least compared to the mainstays like Clemson or Alabama) like this, the birth of a champion. You've got a new subscriber!
I want them and Houston in the big 12. I think it’s BS they aren’t. But what’s cool is the AAC is a very cool conference. And they have a lot of diversity in play style and the teams have great 3 star talent and the teams have really cool uniforms.
I was at their last game before the death penalty in 1986 as an Arkansas fan. Drove down from Fayetteville with friends for the weekend. We beat them 41-0. Good memories.
SMU Pony Express is the best written documentary out there. I still think the SouthWestern Conference was the best conference for all Texas schools. The Big 12 has nothing on that.
The sad thing is.....What they got the death penalty for everybody was doing at the time and the only difference is they pissed off the wrong people.... And what they got the death penalty for is now LEGAL!!!!
SMU is scary this year even though Tulane is ranked I still think SMU is better they are in the top 10 in offensive scoring and Defense they should finish in the top 25 by the end of the year
