You can't cover the fall you just can't do it and why would you want to anyway you get nowhere close to them you would sound awful if you can play then play your own stuff you might actually be good
Absolutely fantastic set. That opening "The NWRA" is phenomenal! Also amazing versions of "Winter" and "Hip-Priest"-soundalike "Session Musician" (which I fucking love). Sorry to sound like a bootlicking gruelhead but I think this should be pressed up into an official release. It's as good as Austerbaijarbio 1983, St. Helens Technical College 1981 or even Clitheroe 2014 (I may or may not be entirely serious about that last one).
By a country mile the greatest act of all time .. with some few others. He did mention the Velvet Underground during 'Session Musician' and we know Mark is/was a Beefheart fan. I am so priveleged to have the appreciation. Long live The Mighty Fall!
Oh man. My hometown (Castro/Eureka Valley/Polk Gulch). Left in 1988, returned in 1992, left for good in 1994, and have not been back since 2000. Don't know if I'd recognize it now.
I was at this show. I was 20 and had to use my friend’s ID. I got into a fight in the pit and my guy broke a beer bottle over my antagonist’s head. The Fall at the IBeam, yes.
@JONATHAN SUTCLIFFE I went to the I-Beam on Mondays quite a few times back in those days. I don't remember any fights. Then again my memory is not great.
@@ichirofakename my opponent was a guy who worked at the Strand cinema on Market, which was an alt movie cinema then. He turned out to be an acquaintance of some friends of mine, who made me apologize a week or so later. Sorry you missed it, the “fight” was short and we all got bounced.
too young for the I Beam- missed Big Black , Killdozer, several Toiling Midgets shows..by the time i get there it's - wait for it - Rollins Band. oof. never went back. The Nightbreak was fun though right?
To help in the fight against the English North's uprising, the South requested help from northern Europe. Reinforcements came from The Netherlands on "Dutch trains" .
Believe it or not I know where to get fall action figures. Basically the same size as GI joes etc. There are of course Mark Steve, Craig, Paul h, Brix, Simon w, Carl Burns, Julia Nagel, Dave bush, I didn't see any more recent members. However, there are some older members. Martin Brahma, Tony friel, una babies, kay Carroll, Yvonne palette, ferret, Mark Riley, Mike Leigh, and also Spencer Birtwhistle, Lucy rimmer, Jim Watts and Ben Pritchard. If there are any after that which would have gone up to about 2003 or 4 so I haven't seen them. Now you probably wondering where are these things. For now you just have to take my word for it. But if you live in the Chicago area just look around. More on this later.
@@weinersmalls5684 also with little accessories like tiny Papal Visit e.p. which actually plays, Karl Burns sweaty Tshirt, nasal straws and so on. Oh yeah it's true. And playsets like Icelandic cave studio and Marks (and Brix) new house, Brownies meltdown studio. I'm totally serious. When I return home I will send pics.
