The Fall of Ric Grayson 

Man, the first segment made me realise how weird the continuing existanse of COurt of Owls is. They are kinda turning into HYDRA/AIM for Batman books. But they lack weird, bizarre main villains these groups have and come out more and more faceless with every story.

In all seriousness tho I think the Ric Arc would've been great if they wrote it like Fight Club meets Jason Bourne. And mix this with a Born again type story... The Dirtiness and Fun deconstruction of Fight Club, The epic action of Jason Bourne and the entire Batfamily and Titans involved.

The Court of Owls had exactly *one* good storyline, their debut. I mean, excuse me for thinking they were all dead at the end of that when the last Talon *killed* them but whatever, eh? Every appearance since has been a joke.

What really frustrated me during the Ric Grayson saga is how DC would teased fans that he’ll be coming back as Dick Grayson, but then once after we get to the actual issue, all we get is him sitting and talking with little to no process and more teases about Ric being Dick again

I think the Ric Grayson saga is a perfect example of dc’s overall lack of direction ever since johns left and rebirth died.

Just want to comment on something you said about the Court of Owls. The reason they want Dick Grayson to be an assassin for the Court so badly is because they have a sort of prophesy revolving around it, believing that he will be the strongest Talon they every created. Moreover, the fact that he was trained by Batman, pretty much one of if not the best fighters in the world, only makes him more desirable to be an assassin.

I hear a lot of people who liked the book. Liked it because "it's different than the norm" and it's like WTF why is that a positive?

There is is technically one hanging plot of Ric that could come back at anytime. Bea Bennett. Watch they bring her back as a new villain ex for him and all she does is cry about how she misses Ric while being evil.

Ric Grayson, all filler, no thriller

The most offensive part of the Ric Grayson story to me is that batman has had this exact storyline before and it was good. Honestly I am not apposed to Nightwing loosing his memory's, what makes each member of the batfamily so adept is thir capabilities and mental faculties, remove those and what do you have, that makes a interesting story When batman lost his memory and became Zurr enn, it showed us that a: not only does batman have the ability to implant backup personalities but that he's done it, and ZUR ISNT EVEN THE INLY BACK UP. just the one we saw. Wich means that back up personalities is a thing in the batfamily. It's strange because to. Batman fan like me your painting dick as less capable, or at least less bat shit prepared. And yeah dick and Bruce are different characters but this entire arc falls apart when you realize batman literally did this same thing like ten years ago, AND IT WAS A GOOD STORY, and he didn't need any of this bullshit to become a hero again. It was a plain a simple batman becoming batman again story, what Ric Grayson felt like was a Nightwing getting fucking Tim draked out of existence.

my favorite ice cream is strawberry i would like to try green apple flavor ice cream the idea of a sour tasting ice cream is neat to me. the talon ark would have been better if they kept the amnesia and made his costume a cross between his original robin costume and Raptors costume. have Raptor be in the story working for Talon and make his costume more like Batman so if Dicks memories come back he'd think he was just remembering his adventures with Raptor. have him interact with anti heroes so he thinks killing is ok if its for the greater good. Raptor turns on Talon and the court and saves Dick and the memories come back. theres an Batman villain he was from the Knight Quest arc his whole thing was he brainwashed himself to be a Mk ultura assassin maybe use him or something

Ding Dong The Ric is Dead

Alright guys let me pitch a new idea for Nightwing, he's edgy now and he's got a cool buzz cut with a team of Nightwing s. Hmmm, ok ok, sounds good Then, we out batman in for just a page. Alright... Then we give him amnesia and change his name to Ric! What!? --Oh, so the new Nightwing s will be the focus of the story, and it'll be about Nightwing recovering his memories as he teaches new heroes? No. The Nightwing s are one off characters and only show up for like three pages a issue. So... What's the story about? Get this, the court of owls want to make dick a talon! Wasn't all the most powerful owls killed at the end of Snyder's run? And didn't batman fuart the plan to make dick a talon in that story? And didn't the owls just give up on dick after he went under Bruce Wayne's wing anyways after he went missing from the circus? Yeah yeah sure fuck you nerd-- so anyways, the talons are after dick, and it's revealed that dick actually doesn't have amnesia and instead just has a bunch of mental reporgramming to think he's meant to be a talon Ok how does that work The owls planted a psychiatrist i to brainwash dick. Ok--- so let me get this straight, the court of owls who have suffered their only and most destructive loss to the batman, somehow plant a person to brainwash dick without batman noticing, EVEN THO HES ALREADY UNCOVERED THEUR CONSPIRACY. and then that random plant brainwashed the golden child of the most mentally resilliant and capable families on earth. AND THEN batman doesn't notice is son getting brainwashed, or that it's not amnesia. AND THEN even tho they could've just killed him in the therapy office and revived him as a talon, they wait untill he has already hit the streets to try and bring him in-- and here's my favorite part-- NONE OF THR BATFAMILY IS ANYWHERE TO BE SEEN. I get it's a Nightwing story, and you can use that same logic with every DC hero. "Why doesn't batman just call the justice league" but it'd especially agregious seeing as they made NEW characters for dick to be around Wich are just people in BATFAMILY suits. The issue with this book is that I'm pretty sure if anyone aside from dick from the batfamily was present here it'd be over in two got damn seconds-- The court is not as secretive as it used to be, and they don't even care Abt dick anymore. That was something very very very made clear in the story where the court was introduced.

I liked the series. Nightwing has no powers, no cape, hes a boring character. This was the first time I read Nightwing comic and series. He use other characters to make him a good character like in Titans and batman. I liked this series because it show what Nightwing life is like without other super characters making him look good. Interesting when other Nightwing helped him out but he is the true Nightwing.
