As someone completely uninvested in smma’s I find it completely obvious it’s not dying. What is happening is it’s getting saturated by idiots who have made $100,000 by the time they’re 27 and somehow think they’re qualified to sell you a $500 course. While this will definitely scare some people off of smmas in general good ones that provide value will always exist

Yeah there's going to be a retraction pretty soon of the amount of people who do this since there's way too much supply right now. When I started doing SMMA a year ago I barely heard as an objection from prospects that they've worked with a social media marketers before who burned their money with very little results. Now that's a constant objection with 4/5 of my prospects. Which is great to know beforehand ;)

Just rewatching this video a year later, after I was not able to afford Iman’s course and I found that a lot of people couldn’t, I created a set of notes to boost them into the Digital Marketing Agency space. After about 4-5 weeks none of them wanted to pursue Digital Marketing because they didn’t want to put the work in. This the message that I got from 40+ people

I'm getting ready to retire ( I know compared to you i'm really, really old) and in the process of starting my own agency to help my wife and I with additional income. If anything, social media is growing. Facebook usage grew by 57% even after the Zuckerberg congressional hearing. Social media will be unstoppable for a good while.

Plus agencies specialize in different niches so many are not even your competition. Also, the agencies posting about SMMA are in different countries. So even though it seems like there are many agencies, many are not even in your area or country.

Hey man just wanted to say I really enjoy your vids. I like the way you think. I think the “SMMA” space right now is interesting bc there’s still a ton of opportunity but the amount of people coming to market with a shit product are starting to water the market down bc everyone thinks they are going to make a quick buck with some cold calls / cold emails and 5-10 hrs of fb ad research

I think the guy was saying this in a way for you to create urgency of the industry as a ploy to sell more training; not as if he believes its actually going to happen! However this is not a good approach in my opinion. Maybe Im wrong but thats what Im thinking. However your general message I couldnt agree with more - very good message!

Will there be room for new entrants in the coming years ? Yes, because so much market potential is still untapped. Will it get harder over time ? Yes. In 5-10 years it will be harder for small fishes to thrive, but until then, it's opportunity time and we can grow to our agencies to some critical sizes in the meantime.

Does this message still stand for today's world? Made my day after watching a tone of 'SMMA is Dead in 2023' videos, and that his success has over-saturated the space since now he has a 2 Mill.+ following and Millenials are jumping in droves to the model. What do you think guys? I loved his positive outlook and hope for it to be super true now and in the future!

Soooo my experience lies in managing social media accounts for live events. I've been developing my skills as a Social Media Specialist where I handled accounts for music festivals in which the ultimate goal was to build the brand and drive ticket sales. Does anyone have a thought on whether or not this would be a good niche to focus on? Perhaps I can reach out to live event production companies beyond the music world.
