I bought the tab book and it only solidified my opinion that Thomas is from a different planet. He's not just absurdly proficient, he's insanely creative

If you listen to some of their earlier stuff, he sounded like dog 😬 but he definitely perfected his own craft over time.

Depends on what bands or scene you listened to, like the late 90’s mathcore Stuff was pretty awesome even though it became a little stale after awhile and early metalcore like killswitch and as I lay dying are pretty awesome and then now with bands like Knocked Loose and Jesus Piece it’s going through a bit of a revival.

I just look back at it with a bit of embarrassment for how dumb and arrogant I was as a teenager, but other than that I mostly feel a sense of nostalgia for my high school days and how simple things were back then relative to now.

@@mason3872 knocked loose has NO math in it lol, it's just straight hardcore. The bands carrying on this type of sound are really folks like Hail The Sun (Elephantitis EP sounds VERY TFOT-like).

They're not bad, just the interplay with the guitar makes them sound more complicated than they are. Not to say he's not a great drummer, in fact that's what makes someone one.

Wish I could just have that moment as the melody in a remix of this, literally the best couple measures of the album

@@williamvancourt528 Saw this same tour in Easton PA. Kaonashi is one of my favorite bands and seeing this album played in full was stellar. Gotta be one of my favorite shows i've ever been to.
