Without a doubt. From Slates etc in 1977 to Autochip in 2015. Saw them live many times. Loved the way MES 'interacted' with the audience...chucking his mic into the crowd...or wading in early days 😂 Totally wired...
Great video quality, but the sound is turned way down and skips. Glad we get both, but the sound is set to low. It is a beautifully crisp picture and we do get both songs, but the bass and drums are driving this and they aren't loud enough. Listen to the blurry version of The Mixer and you can hear the difference right off. I had to turn it all the way up to get sound at all. Plus, I want to hear what the studio director said to Mark. :)
I first heard the fall while I was sleeping it was on a college radio station and when I woke up I thought that was the coolest dream because there's no band in reality that could be like that. Then it happened again I fell asleep in dream and this station played a fall song and I'm like wow I'm having great dreams. Then in reality I walked into a club filled with Nazis in uniform Communists and uniform punks bikers rednecks and post punk people. Fiery Jack what's playing in everyone was singing to it. This was like a dream but it was real and that's when I knew that this is the best band ever that was in 1980 I still think that way.
@@Rfk1966 You think? I just have Before The Fall, During The Fall, After The Fall. S'funny, I've been listening all day, again, it really doesn't matter to me what came when. Fall Time All The Time!
Fun fact: keyboardist Julia Nagles ex husband Chris was engineer on Unknown Pleasures. I think this line up of The Fall should have covered Bizarre Love Triangle. I'll get me coat.😏
....how come The Fall are instantly crap....but eventualy the most brilliant band you ever heard..? They are the fall of Rock n Roll...the Fall of the egocentric presentation....and The Fall of sexist and pretentious and outrageously expensive marketing..? The Fall 1.....The Others..0
Who is playing bass and who is playing drums in this? I stopped buying my Fall records late '80s. Don't really know anything about this later period. Heck, I didn't even know Brix rejoined The Fall! The two songs in this video are pretty darn excellent. Who is on bass and drums?
@@paraffinbrain3019 Thanks. Hanley. I suppose I should be checking out some of this later Fall material. I loved all the wicked early stuff and then loved the Brix years. Never heard this era. I like what I hear.
90’s on is a little more hit & miss than the 80’s but 2000-2010 in particular saw some of their greatest songs & some albums every bit as good as the earlier classics.
Where's Craig? Why is Brix semi-acoustic? Why is funky Si using rods? Hardly matters but did the teeee veeeee show impose volume restrictions? Which would also help to explain why Nagle's keys are so loud on P Keg. Tbh when she turned up it didn't seem to do Mark any favours... I know they were a 'group' not a soap opera but....
