The Fallen Lore Is HEART BREAKING | Season of the Splicer Reaction 

The shear thought of an eliksni being dragged screaming, into a bubble of light, by saint-14 is actually terrifying. His helmet (also the exotic), blinds those that enter, meaning the eliksni really suffered.

8:07 "I will alter the fabric of this Vex System to aid you" - immediately blocks the kill-shot on a hobgoblin - This is hands-down my favorite season in all of Destiny. I tied my Guardian's backstory heavily to the Eliksni, so being able to befriend them was great for writing stories for my character. Can't wait to see your reaction to the latter half! Edit: That story that Misraaks tells is one of my favorites of all of the ink drawing cutscenes. Misraaks' delivery was so powerful, especially conveying the sheer terror that Saint instilled in them. The idea that you could rip someone in half, blow them up, impale them on a dozen pikes, and they'll just resurrect seconds later and rip out your innards with their bare hands is the reality that so many Eliksni lived with for so long. Not to mention having them serve as your overseer in a strange place. It'd be like moving to a foreign country and being watched by the manifestation of the Grim Reaper. Additionally, I love Lakshmi's voice actor as well, but she has been forever tainted in my mind by how exceptionally she played this character. Any time I hear her voice in anything else, my brain immediately recalls the fury that Lakshmi fostered within me. Truly exceptional work, and I wish I could shake her VA's hand and thank her for her sheer skill.

Fun fact: Eido is named after an Awoken. She's named after Sjur Eido, who was the QueensWrath or bodyguard of Mara Sov. Mara and Sjur were also a lot "more" if you catch my drift. They were....roommates?

Did you notice that the sigil the Eliksni draw on walls to ward off guardians looked familiar? It’s Saint. They draw Saint on the walls and tell hatchlings its to protect them

Saint's "crusade" against the Eliksni is one of the reasons why he's hailed as the greatest Titan. He caved in House of Devils Kell's skull with a headbutt.

14:42 so the social space the Eliksni reside in the city is actually the old location where we had a fallen raid! We had a whole raid that took place in the streets of the city, jumping in and out of the tall large vertical buildings and everything. The tank you're looking at was featured in it

Lakshmi-2 is voiced by the amazing Shohreh Aghdashloo. You may also know her as Admiral Shala’Raan vas Tonbay in Mass Effect 2 and 3 or Chrisjen Avasarala in The Expanse show. Such an iconic voice.

The end with the story of monsters, trust me it hurts Saint, because in a lore tap it is told he's seen trying to kneel down to an Eliksni child and the child runs away crying in fear of him.. that broke the titans heart, greatly. 😢

I’m very excited to see this. While not my favorite season, Splicer imo is definitely a top 3 for story (at least for me) in Destiny this just went hard.

This season has by far my favorite story in destiny, the contrast between characters and giving perspective of how scary a guardian really is from the other point of view. The story telling is just so well done and so good.

1:10:20 maybe my favorite cutscene in destiny EVER, partially because saint and Mithrax are my favorite characters, and partially because of how impactful it felt. I even use that frame you paused on as a wallpaper on my pc

The tron-like content from this Season itself may not be accessible anymore, but the Lightfall Strike "Hypernet Current" and the "Partition" activities take place in the same kinda domain. Even closer to that, the "Node Avalon" exotic mission (currently Lightfall Deluxe edition only, but with the release of Final Shape, will be part of base-Lightfall) not only takes place in the Tron-y domain, but also re-uses the music from this Season c:

Right now there's three Eliksni houses: House Salvation (Eramis), House Light (Mithrax), and House Dusk, which is basically rogue Eliksni who don't really have a House, but they identify other rogues with that house. When you heard in the beginning Mithrax being referred to as "Misraaks", it's because some humans use easier-to-pronounce names to refer to some Eliksni, but "Misraaks" is his real name.

Actually, in between Titan and now, Mithrax got the Guardian's attention and directed them to explore the old Tower, which was at the time being raided by Eramis (before she went to Europa and formed House Salvation). The Guardian, at Mithrax's guidance, recovers a gun built with SIVA technology, the Outbreak Perfected, before Eramis can get it.

This was the season Armor Transmog was added to the game, so they put some lore behind it and gave the story to Ada 1.

We actually had a quest line with Mithraxx way back in some other sunset content! He was a quest giver for an exotic quest

Oh, an interesting relationship not presented in the seasonal content but in the lore stories is between Misraaks and lord Shaxx! Because of Shaxx' history similar to Saint's, he's one of the last people who would want to be friends with an Eliksni. And yet, when given the opportunity to talk to Misraaks, Shaxx resists the urge to throw him off the tower and Misraaks fights the instinct to battle the danger and through some miracle they end up having a heart to heart and bond over their mutual darkness and trauma caused by the conflict between Human and Eliksni. There is lore that says some Eliksni got to try Spicy Ramen with some humans. They liked the Ramen.😊

Docking is a method of Demotion in Eliksni culture. Eliksni can regrow their limbs, and that's why you can see them with their lower limbs as nubs. When docked, an arm is removed to the shoulder, not just the elbow.

I will say that I am very much enjoying your reaction series so far, I love seeing people who've just been introduced to Destiny seeing the stories of its world and how engaging it can be

It is sick to think that some of these poor eliksni at the beginning died in such a brutal way, in a lore book from that season it is said that a vex literally spawned inside of a dreg, ripping it into shreds.

There is a bit of lore that came after that Saint cutscene where Saint went to visit Eliksni camp where some Eliksni children who played around got scared of him when they saw him and as someone who is known as "The Protector of Children" it hit him hard. I almost cried reading it.

Season of the lost is gonna make you loose your mind in the best way possible 😂 I can't wait!

For a little Misraaks history. The first we, as the Guardian, met Misraaks was on Titan when both the Fallen, the Hive, and the Guardians were hunting for a still functional fusion reactor core. During this mini post-game quest, we come across Misraaks multiple times when he was still a captain for House of Dusk. And some times he encountered us when we were at his mercy, but he never took a shot against us. But at the very end of the quest we find Misraaks fighting a Hive knight. And we were giving two choices. We either kill both of them, or spare Misraaks. If we kill the knight and save Misraaks, he'll give you the core himself and salute you. The second time we meet him was when he provided us information that a crew of Eliksni infiltrated the ruins of the destroyed tower and stole a old SIVA pulse rife. That was the first time we ever stopped Erimas aswell

So as much as we all hate the Space racist Lakshmi she did watch the fallen burn down London as well as many other things fallen have done(a fun fact in destiny lore is that london survived the collapse but was burnt down early into the dark ages by eliksni)

I adore Shoreh Agashdaloo, her voice is sooo good (Lakshmi-2). Big reason I joined FWC in d1. She also plays a big role on the sci fi series The Expanse, good stuff there too if you want to see her live-action acting chops (she's such a good actor)

Ah yes the "are we the baddies? Season. But seriously, Chosen, Splicer, and Lost are some of the best season's they have ever done. Theres other good ones, but these 3 just are so damn good one after another and build perfectly into the next expansion. And all the lore we get on the back story of the cabal and fallen really lets you sympathies with them and realize how grey everything is. And I really love how "gritty" they get with the story in this season. Dealing with straight up racism, its all very good, and Saints cutscene is amazing and horrifying at the same time

The fallen/ Eliksni are my favorite species mostly because of this season

You owe it to yourself to read the actual Books of Sorrow some time too, it's a very fun read, but this fan project was a love letter to the community, by the community. I am positive you will enjoy it and as others have said, knowing the contents of the Books of Sorrow is an enhancing experience for the story of The Witch Queen. It also enhances parts of the story you already love, including characters like Eris Morn and The Drifter. You'll learn who Savathun, Oryx and Xivu Arath really are and that primes you to go up against The Hive in the upcoming stories. Once you know the story of The Hive, you'll also never be able to un-see it every time you fight the Hive. Once you realize what they are.... it's just plain haunting.

Oh, next season will rock, i loved so much season of the lost (and also the Ending of season of the splicer)

I knew you would love season of the Splicer! Besides Rasputin seasons who are at my top, The season of the Splicer was my favorite from Saint's character arc to the cyber space aethetic. This season was goated.

Watching this back and hearing "Osiris" stop Mithrax from helping Lakshmi with her tech is very interesting, maybe "Osiris" doesn't want them to talk and start having an understanding of eachother 🤔

Lakshimi 2 has some history with Neptune. She may have died at the end of this season, but keep her name in mind. She will come back up after the Lightfall campaign.

They are my favorite race by far, a peaceful and proud people of craftsmanship, turns into vengeful, scared scavengers.

Don´t force a bad guy to be a good guy/to be better just like that , that is my only issue with Terra so far . Guardians and survivers had they own experiences with other races outside the city walls , much much longer before we arrived , generations i think . Some can hate more the cabal over others ( Saladin ) , the Fallen ( THE Saint ) etc . They will see the reality , just need time , prove and faith .

Lakshmi is voiced by Shohreh Aghdashloo, she's pretty cool, i seen her first in Expanse, and only then did she show up in destiny, since i wasn't around for the syndicate bs in the first year.

Interestingly, this is the second time we’re encountering Eliksni splicers. The first time was the splicers from the House of Devils trying to utilize SIVA back in D1.

Season of splicer is easily my favourite season of all of destiny, unfortunately nothing is left in the game since that season, there is one thing I won't spoil thats in lightfall which is neat but things like the 6 player activity Override and the 3 player activity expunge are both gone. As a fellow Deep Stone Lullaby OST lover I recommend a video created in season of the splicer called "Season of Synthwave (Deep stone lullaby remix)" as it is both beautiful and carries the same synthwave vibe from the season

Wasn't paying much attention, but in the Eliksni quarter, there are images of saint painted on the walls, with voice lines by Eido.

I strongly recommend you read some of the lore from this season. Gives insight to what Crows up to and more of whats happening in the city.

I recommend reading the lore tab for the weapon “Survivor’s Epitaph” that came out this season. It is my favorite piece of Destiny storytelling

So going on about how demonic Saint was and how surprising it was for you, lets just say something VERY similar happens much much later. Unfortunately its not shown in game but a certain lore tab. He goes absolutely ballistic. No spoilers on when and where it happens but its somewhat recent. Hopefully you'll catch it once you're all caught up

Glad you’re liking the Season! It’s also very up there for me in terms of story and aesthetic. However, I do want to briefly play the devil’s advocate from the perspective of Saint (initially) and Lakshmi. As far as we know, the Eliksni were the aggressors when they arrived in our system. Common accepted history is that many were filled with rage at seeing us blessed by the Traveler after it abandoned them, and many considered us thieves. Many, many people were brutally killed by the Fallen in the Dark Age. As Saint recounted, he’s seen dregs eat children. One the Last City was formed, the Fallen more or less laid siege to it for as long as it’s stood-for hundreds of years. I don’t think you can blame anyone for distrusting the House of Light at the start. Not to mention that the Vanguard are making the decision to allow the Eliksni to stay without any sort of consultation or consent of the city civilians. While I disagree with Lakshmi’s methods, I think where she comes from can be at least mostly understood. I also want to give a little background regarding the conflict with the Eliksni and Saint-14 specifically. After the Battle of Twlight Gap, where ever Fallen house united to take the City and nearly succeeded, Saint-14 went on crusade and I believe killed most or all of the Kells of every house, and very rarely spared at in his way on his warpath. He’s known for head-butting because that was how he split the skill of the House of Devils’ Kell. If you look back at the Eliksni symbol of warding in the Eliksni Quarter, you may notice that it resembles his helmet. ;)

ALSO look at the weapon lore for Truth (exotic rocket launcher), and Eidos lore as well. Truth is supposed to be Eidos weapon, and the thought of little Eido running around with a rocket is pretty funny

Fun Fact: The district where Mithrax's Eliksni hole up during this season is actually the same area where the final encounter in the Scourge of the Past raid took place (before that was sunset). Splicer also added a few instances of random unnamed Eliksni hanging out in the Tower - if you want to see them, head down to the Annex where Drifter and Ada reside. Overall, I really enjoyed Splicer storywise - and it is just kind of poetic that the season where Saint gets a story arc related to accepting the Eliksni's presence happened to be Season *14*. there's also a whole thing here where we killed a Taken Vex Mind that may or may not have started being able to simulate the Light but I'm underqualified to talk about that

For this season in particular, *please* read the lore book ”Achilles Weaves a Cocoon”. It shows the story of an Eliksni Archon turned gentle weaver, and does the best job in game of portraying the conflict between Eliksni, guardians, and the people of the city.

Be wary of our friend Osusris I saw him act a bit sus over the course of the splicer season and it gets even more sus as you progress

Lakshmi 2s voice actress at the time on twitter was getting praise for her role too. Sry can’t remember her name. Because of this, she made the fans some videos of playing her character there once or twice. She’s awesome at her role as arasavsla in the expanse too. She plays a political role there too.

23:00 if you haven't seen it yet, check out Byf's Last Word video. It's a isolated story about 3 of the most prominent Guardians and their origins. Their influence still remains but mostly in background lore.

Nice question: the pyramids are actually not perceived as a problem at the moment, we know that they are there but I think it is implied that since they are noy attacking us, then it is ok😅. It has always been a little strange how they handled their arrival into our sistem

This might be my favorite season purely because bungie recreated Master Chief and the Arbiter in the form of Saint and Mithrax. Also the aesthetic just goes hard

There is a difference between eliksni and fallen. I really think we should keep that distinction the fallen are the fallen eliksni who have fallen for the darknesses schemes and the eliksni being the ones we ally with who represent the best of their species. Little spoiler for lightfall but it's never shown in any cuts cutscene but in lightfall our Allyson of house light and the royal cabal of caitle and the queens awoken are all in the tower and working with humans and each other. They are eliksni and those we fight are fallen.

That purple symbol for "keeping Guardians away"? That is Saint XIVs helmet. And you know how scary he was for the Eliksni. Also I really love the Saint cutscene, easily one of the best subversion of how we see this humble giant (but literally the Doom Guy to the Eliksni) What I find most gruesome is the lore. People of the last City made Eliksni dissapear, actively avoided them and once even a guardian wielding stasis (which was also very frowned apon) had to save the life of an Eliksni, otherwise they would have perished. They didn't have it easy, as if they even acted once against their aggressors, they would have to suffer the consequenses Also, I don't know if you noticed, there are some messages below the radar, made my Quria. She spoke to us before we even knew she was there and could be seen in the very first interaction we had in the Vex Network. She was the one to get rid of us

POOR Mithrax , we were just putting all the weight on him and his people for what the others evil houses did , he has been so polite and educate for a eliksni that we never seen . What a kell , the best one .

This Was My #2 Favorite Destiny Season Ever Along with Season of Arrivals being #1 But This season was Amazing & is also The first Season I ever got a title being the Season Title (Splicer) I loved this season & the little secrets in the vex network with Savathun sending messages to us along with Osiris acting a bit SUS lol You’ll see next reaction lol Osiris as Savathun.

The Mithrax story was one of my fav ones. 10:37 and that actress...... I actually can't stand her cigarette lady voice😮

The reason why humans say Mithrax, and the eliksni say Meesrax is because they don’t have tongues like we do. And, stereotypical humans softened the hard S sound to make it easier to pronounce

I really wish I had been able to play this season. Thinking I could access this was part of why I bought some DLCs before realizing that it was vaulted. There’s a few missions where you can enter the vexnet. There’s a Lightfall strike in it and a lost sector. There’s also the exotic quest //NODE.OVRD.AVALON// that was part of season of defiance that you can still play but will likely be made unavailable once final shape launches

What do you plan to do after season of the seraph because destin stopped posting the destiny story I’m not sure of any other channels that have the full seasonal stories.
