There were legit thumbnails from those type of people calling it woke failures before the show came out just bc they saw Ella Purnell as a lead. So yes they were complaining before it’s release
That's the problem with these culture war commentators. They bash a project before it is even released just because of who is cast in the main roles. Then they make a video like this saying, "oh we aren't racist or sexist, this one is actually good", pretending as if they weren't bashing the project before it was released.

No people were predicted it would suck because both amazon and bethesda have a bad reputation just like how people though House of the Dragon would suck because of how badly GoT was fumbled. and there is nothing wrong with that, it turning out good doesn't mean people were wrong to be skeptical or have no faith if these producers have time and time again given us dogwater.

I mean ghoul uses rifle. Also his "pistol" is revolver that pack so much punch he shots limbs off. Lucy is still naive and un experinced so she does uses only guns. And Max uses power armor - in his case not need gun. He is not good at using armor and gun.

Fallout created new characters that are interesting, funny and cool, they didnt took a character that already exists and changed their skin color or gender, one of the reasons why the show was good You can make the protagonist the way you want, just give it a good story and good development The problem with movies/series like: She hulk, the marvels, Disney star wars trilogy, Halo and many other, its not because the main character is a woman, black person or gay, its because most of the time the characters are not interesting, have terrible development or they disrespect the source material How is this so hard to understand to some people?
Because some people have an agenda and they are going to force it down your throat. Then when you push back they can feel morally superior and pretend they have the moral high ground.

I am sure it was trash because writers cant write anymore but that is just bad writing and nothing to do with the woke-ness. How many movies/tv shows have you ignored because you heard it was "woke". Judge after, not before. Jodi Whittaker could have been brilliant as the Doctor in Doctor Who but she got saddled with bad writing. A lot of people thought it woke and didnt even give it a try because a space alien with a time travelling spaceship who regenerates instead of dies became a woman once. Get over yourselves. I didnt see you complaining when every action star was a white dude and women were just there to show titties or be the one the star has to save (Oh, and that was the last 100 years of movies). So dont throw "woke" around as if you think you are cool or edgy. If Alien came out now you would avoid it because all the men die and only Ripley survives. Screw you all.
You know not everyone that describes things as "woke" sleep with their cousin right? Plus it's the Wasteland and I'd imagine incest was not uncommon in the Vaults especially when they get stuck there for generations.
I just think the writing isn’t very good. Poorly explained motivations, dumb character actions for no reason, ect. But they did a good job with the tone and world building. So at least it’s interesting from that perspective.

I don't mind them using whichever character they want in their fictional universe but the only irk I had, was the forced blatantly obvious LGBT flag lens flare in the scene where Lucy and Maximus reunited.

In Bethesda fallout games there is usually a perk called black widow (if your character is female) and lady killer (if you character is male) which gives you extra damage against the opposite sex and will sometimes give you extra dialouge options in speech tasks. There is usually more male enemies than female enemies so playing as a female character gives you an advantage. I think lucy being the main charater is a reference to this common fallout fan playstyle. A lot of the culture and politics in the fallout games is incredibly interesting, but i can see the DEI types misunderstanding fallout. praising it at moments its being satirical, praising it for things that are already in the games and have nothing to do with wokism.. and i can see them misreading or misrepresenting the prewar lore to suit their little checklist. In vault 4 in the show, the oversear makes a vaild arguement for a person who would be called a racist by DEI types and its like it went over their heads because he's got 1 eye. Once these people think they are being pandered too they barely pay attention.
The complaint is not that you're racist if you don't like a show. And it has dei. The problem is, most of the time when you guys complain about said shows. You complain about them being bad because of dei. People were freaking out that the little mermaid was black in the live action before they even saw the movie to see if it was good or bad. So in a lot of cases, your whole point here has no weight.
Well little mermaid being black was a valid complaint since in the cartoon the main character was white so why change it for the live action? The only reason is because of pandering to the woke agenda.

There is a whole in the plot 1st episode, Lucy wants to marry someone from another vault because of no incest rules however in her vault you have people who are different races not related to her like black men or other races so this makes no sense at all, unless she is somehow related to every man in the vault 33, this is the main reason she cannot marry Chet her cousin.

Proves you arent racist or sexist is a stretch. There were tons of complaints about Lucy and Maximus before the show aired. Even now, Maximus is the most disliked character in the show. People cant really explain why they dislike him. They just do. The fact that you even tried to break down the problem with DEI while praising one of the most DEI shows out is funny. I would like to congratulate yall for not losing your shit over Dane being such a masculine female, though. That shows growth.
There’s always going to be the outliers who complain about everything, there are even people complaining about GTA6 having a Latino female character and all the black and Latino npc in Miami, which is funny because I live in Florida and that’s exactly how Miami looks like.
@@FilledWithChi11 You call them outliers, but they are the mouthpiece yall rally behind. Trust me, I get that an inclusive movie can just be a bad movie. However, one of the things I notice is that the bad parts are either not addressed or not explained well. There are even things that are misconceptions. For example: The MCU was nick-named the M-She-U which is an automatic indicator that the over-representation of women is the problem. I tend to challenge people on why they dont like certain aspects of this MCU, and they never have good reasons. Most of the criticism boils down to disliking well-documented character traits/flaws, or disliking the actors. I am glad the main knuckleheads are being quiet on this one. Maybe that trend will continue.
Sure we can. He's not as good as Higgins or Purnell. He's not "bad" but he's not strong. Or the Director's or writers blew it. The actor is much more animated and Lively and has a lot of body language in the video where the actors answer questions about Fallout. Maximus the character is just kind of flat. And when the two kissed I believed Purnell had feelings for him while I felt Maximus had no feelings for lucy.
