@@earlysda I went to your site and noticed that Doug Batchelor is one of yours. Doug Batchelor believes in the Trinity while our pioneers never endorsed this theory. Read the book: Did They Believe in the Trinity? Since becoming an Adventist, I have studied very carefully everything our pioneers wrote and, believe me, they never endorsed the Trinity. Regarding the "Trinity": that is unfortunate that our SDA Church adopted that term, as it is loaded with Catholic baggage. "Godhead" is the term we should have stayed with. . Having said that, the term "Trinity" as used today is not at all like what our SDA pioneers thought of when they saw that word. Joseph Bates, for example, understood it to mean that the Father morphed into the Son and morphed into the Holy Spirit. Of course that is ridiculous error. . But the truth that there is a Father, Son, and Holy Spirit remains. . Please be very careful with this subject. Ellen White advises us against going too deeply into it. Also, the Holy Spirit can be driven away, and then there is no more hope of salvation at all. . Natural Immortality of the soul is on a lower tier of significance. The god of the apostate Christian world is the Trinity. Sunday is celebrated in honour of "the most holy Trinity".
You folks sound like you reject the counsel of Ellen white on this matter!!! The 2 ties to the Catholic Church are immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness. The early pioneers challenged the doctrine of the trinity and it was discovered to be a VALAD doctrine from scripture!!! Reject it at your own peril. The father, the son and the Holy Spirit are all mentioned as 3 distinct persons and all 3 were present at the baptism of Christ! The Catholic Church gets a lot wrong, and actually they don’t believe in the trinity…. They believe in 4 persons in the Godhead(they add Mary)
@@teddyvetter5256 So EGW and the great majorityy of the pioneers were mistaken to reject the Trinity of the denominations they left to join the Advent movement, and proclaimed the 3angels message for the first fifty years in honour of the wrong God? SDA going backwards to accept the prime, foundational doctrine of the Beast is not "progressive truth", it is retrograd it is apostasy. Give us the Bible! Your entire sermon is deeply flawed. You're missing a huge part of the equation that turns your premises upside down. The separation of church and state ONLY applies to the first FOUR of the Ten Commandments, NOT the LAST SIX. The first four are religious and the last six are civil. I am so shocked that not a single SDA pastor does not pick up on this. This distinction needs to be made. Another flaw is that you only focus on the religious RIGHT. What about the religious LEFT? What about the Black church? Again, very biased against Conservatives and makes vile, devilish Liberals look like they are saints. Finally, you need to emphasize more WHY these people see a need for a return to Christian values: Because of the vile, disgustingly ungodly policies of the lunatic left.
