From 1979 to 1983, the bodies of five young men were found in the area around Adelaide. All of them showed signs of sexual wounds, and led police to the doorstep of one man: Bevan Spencer von Einem. However, evidence only linked von Einem to one crime, leading the world to believe that he didn't act alone.
Part one of two.
Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal Whelan.
Music and production by Tyson Nordgren.

I live in Adelaide. This case frustrates me! As most of us South Australians believe "the family" are being protected.. judges, politicians, doctors (people high up) have been protected and have got away with murder... Von Einem was a scapegoat. Yes he was involved but i believe he did not act alone or was the one who did the killing. The media seem to sweep this case under the carpet.
@jleon5659
@jleon5659 6 лет назад
Yes, that's right, Beven Spence Von Einem was framed, the forensic evidence of Richard Kevin was planted. Von Eimem was perplexed and bewildered by this Evidence, police were not because they put it there. Many men involved with this crimes but only one man framed and convicted for the crimes.
@cacamurtagh9836
@cacamurtagh9836 5 лет назад
He was not framed, framed is when you are innocent, he wasn't. Yes he didn't do it alone and people where protected but that doesn't make him any less of a sick fuck. and he deserves to rot, he isn't totally isn't so why bitch that he was convicted.

'The Family' links in with Bohemian Grove. Paul Bonacci said he took part in the ritual murder of a boy at Bohemian Grove and that they put the remains in bags, and they left in a small Cessna prop plane with the remains in the plane, which were then thrown off the plane almost immediately, above a specified location 'for the men in hoods to find'. (imo probably women in hoods) The founders of the Bohemian Grove assassinated President McKinley and then to duck notoriety formed an offshoot of the Bohemian Club named The Family. They founded Stanford University and created a compound at Woodside California near San Francisco called 'The Family Farm'. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Bernard_Oliver#cite_note-ipswichstar29102004-9

@@riverdeep399 research the Bechtel family, they own the land upon which the Bohemian Grove compound was built, and own the company which built the Chunnel btwn England and France. They are the ultimate undergrounders, you can bet they built a tunnel system under Bohemian Grove. They probably have extensive ties to Australia and S. African rail history.

These were some of the most horrific acts of sadism, I have ever heard of! These poor men, how terribly horrible and so- so sad. May they rest in peace. Knowing that it's a person, who can have so much hate and rage in them, that they can do such a thing even once, but, to make a habit out of that hate/rage, is beyond comprehension.Thanks for sharing this with us.

I'm originally from Adelaide. Just thought I'd mention for viewers from elsewhere that Eastern suburbs like Kensington in Adelaide tend to be higher socioeconomic areas and northern suburbs like Salisbury & tea tree Plaza mentioned are places in the northern suburbs which are more disadvantaged socioeconomic areas. Port Adelaide is also a lower socioeconomic industrial spot - where Neil Muir's body was found. North Adelaide where Richard Kelvin was abducted is what you'd class as 'posh'. It's not a northen suburb despite it's name, its quite wealthy & located very inner city. Might help paint a better picture of Adelaide

Calamityj you certainly do across the border. I worked with a really nice bloke who played a few games with Port Adelaide back in the late 80’s. This was a guy who was tough on the footy field, he told me about this case and how even as a teenager around the time of these heinous crimes, even he was scared by them. Many people were apparently.

Thanks! I appreciate that, as always. I really do enjoy picking stories that aren't very well-known, as it allows me to do some research and read books/articles without having any preconceived notions (hence why I don't do some bigger-known American mysteries like the Zodiac Killer or Maura Murray, where I already have strong opinions one way or the other). But I really enjoy getting to shine a light on these overseas stories, at least in my own small way. I can only hope it does some good. :)

The Unresolved Podcast You most certainly succeeded! Your podcast is seriously the only one I drop everything to listen to. If you ever run out of topics, look up some of the serial killers in the Eastern Bloc. Since their judicial systems were at times more focused on catching political criminals rather than real ones, it created a horrifyingly ripe enviornment for crime.

Then 2 friends do the gen why which is probably the best, they let each other talk and don't over speak and they give all the best information never boring.

Why would someone be offended? You're retelling history. Actual events that happened to real people. If you can't handle reality, there are plenty of cartoons shown on RU-vid that you may be more comfortable viewing. But please don't come over here crying and wailing with your feelings hurt because someone may have used a word or a saying pertinent to the events.
