I never delete my beats, I see them almost like journal entries or memories. One day I wanna be able to go back and see how trash I used to be, and how much I've leveled up 🤣
Nah bro, 20 years later, ima react to the shit that I made in Grade 7 on soundtrap and my body will vaporise and crumble into pieces from the amount of cringe. I would never want to experience that EVER lol
I like to keep all beats just in case I go back one day and they actually sound good. You may be in a bad mood one day and hate the beat, but you could also come back months later and actually find them to be pretty good.
Another great example is J.Cole’s Amari(prod by Timbaland. Cole heard it on one of his live shows were he either made or showed the beat. Cole recorded it from the live and made a track. But when he called up Timbo he said he actually deleted the beat but Cole showed him what he did, so timbaland actually had to reproduce it. GREAT story!
Giancarlo has some of the best sample worthy music! I often find myself listening to his work and never actually making a beat out of them haha. Cheers, Navie!
Idk if anybody else talked about it yet but ik j.cole had a track on the off-season that was made by timbaland that was deleted and had to be remade too lol
Bro I really appreciate your videos and I know it‘s a lotta work create them. But PLEASE make em twice as long as they are. Whenever your video ends, I wanna have some more beats explained to me by you 😂 Keep up the great work G, greetings from Germany💪
I am amazed by your online tutorials - i don't know anything about hip hop beats but you seriously make me want to give it a go - you videos are brilliant and extremely helpful and informative
In my opinion collard Greens would be the biggest tragedy to loose. The Base Line Changed the Vibe straight 💯 and the synth Made as so unique. Great Video again 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
How do i delete recording take that are in none of my beats? All my beats are unfinished (i need to learn more :pp) So if i delete takes all my things are gone
Help me find an old song by Asapa Roki, I think he even released a music video, but then the song and video were removed, fans posted the song again, but it was removed from RU-vid again, it was released around 2015, I remember it had a bright and a little edgy melody, I've been looking for it for a few years now, in this song if I'm not mistaken there was another rapper on the feat
i love collard greens but the weird percussion should have been edited a bit IMHO. there's a secondpart of the sound that comes off like an subtle off beat hit fi that make sense I think they just should have shortened the sample to get rid of the tail
I have been producing for 2 years and my question is: If I just keep watching tutorials and making beats will I be a decent enough producer in say 8 years to actually start selling my beats?
Don't watch too many tutorials. You don't get a lot better by watching them. You just learn how other people are doing stuff. Maybe just watch it if you want to know a specific thing
The fact there's some kind of trope about producers deleting there own work is insane. How can one group of artists be less mentally resilient then others lol.
sometimes, the weird ahh loops and drums I made 2 years ago inspire and help me to try something new. Please, never delete your "records" and "memos". They'll help you one day.
should've included amari by timbaland!! it was recorded on stream and j cole recorded to it but at that point timbo deleted the beat😭😭so he remade the beat for j cole
Collard Greens would've been the biggest tragedy to lose because it was something so different for the time & has stood the test of time in hip hop. We need more "Weird" or "Leftfield" ideas to make it to the mainstream
