This was the dance that Zik after watching it, took the lead dancers as a wife who is the lecturer at UNN now. They are wonderful if they have added their songs the melody is great Igbo Amaka
Ogbu-oja ndewooo! Ihe ninaa i kwusiri bu ezi okwu. Igbo gadi! Chi-ukwu goziri anyi ofuma, ogaghi ekwe ka omenani o nyere ayi nke gboo gbafuoo. Mba! Igbo kwezuonuueee!
Watching their women dance one could easily project the pride and strength in their men. Land of the ancient fierce warriors. Chi ndi nna nna anyi ha gọzie ma nọnyere unu dum💙. Proudly Igbo.
The singer or taleteller, to me, is part of these classes of people through Africa whose ancestors were Africa's ancient scholars. I wish they are allowed by the rest of the societies they live in to finally break their silence on the past of the continent. If UGWUMBA TV can also have explanations or meanings behind these dances. Africa is a continent which did not write down its past. But it can be discoverable through the meaning behind an event such as this one. Pardon me if I come across as brainy. That is the way I am and I am also passionate about Africa.
I feel heartbroken watching these happy faces, people of great traditions and looking at the current Fulanis torture and killings in Ebonyi State. Chukwuokike Abiama rescue His people, the Biafrans.
I was really envious of your handle on the Igbo language, Ada gburugburu!! Even losing the rest of us in your dialect with that end greeting. O ga'adi kwa nma ma i kuziere anyi ile asusu unu a o o? O bu - G: "n'uto kwuhu", R: "Oto kwee"?? Biko kedu nkowa okwu ekele a, ada nne m nwanyi? Dalu o o! Wish the grounds were laid out in levelled sand. With clean square/circle of historic "ezi" or "mbara iho"? The world begs to know how others in our diverse existence see life, love and humanity's future. Let's contribute some positive alternatives that makes the world a magical pool of cultures. Best wishes.
The man just said it all the dance don't move me like what the man said .we need our culture its only thing that will connect us back from the God becouse that is the method he want us to woship him .and comunicate with him only then we will indivible and indestructible.
This not is Afikpo dance alone. I danced this step when i was a girl. We even danced while climbing locally constructed stairs .I enjoyed myself then. Great reminder. I am even dancing along with them.
What happened to the jigida on the waist? They are not moving/shaking as they should. Very beautiful dance and culture. Gotta get hold of older videos of this dance. Have you heard of Uche Azikiwe and hw she was spotted by Zik while dancing Nkwa Nwite?
Yes we have the full gist but Uche wasn't dancing Nkwanwite but nkwaumuagbogho. Infact her younger sister still leads the nkwaumuagbogho till date. Jookwa
Ugwumba Tv...you are doing well. Unu jokwa Nde Kem! But I'm afraid that the young Afikpo girls are taking up this Nkwa umuagbogo Dance. I'm Afraid it will soon go extinct. Can anything be done to sustain it?
One Nigeria Will Not The Corrupt Acclaimed Leaders Of Our Region To Invest To Revive Those Our Cultural Sports Because If It Is Lucrative Youths Will Show Interest. When Biafra Is Restored come 2023,All Lost Glories Will Be Restored
