This group shaked the south-east after the civil war. This group did their best in putting the igbo race back on track after the huge losses of lives by ndi-igbo after the civil. They contributed immensely in the healing process of the civil war on ndi-igbo. RIP Elias and others.
I felt this straight away in my soul. Igbo took their customs and practices with them to Bahia on the slave ships where there is still a strong heritage and African ancestry. This is so beautiful and that it was danced to heal from the civil war.
The young ones that are only interested in exposing and shaking breast and ass on SM. They see tradion as olden days stuff. If they eventually venture into this, envy, jealousy and controversy will creep in.
I am emotionally moved when hearing the voice of Queen Theresa Ofojie the golden voice of famous Egwu Obi from Umuoji in Anambra state in Igbo Nation . I am well pleased to see those surviving dancers and singers of Egwu Obi Umuoji performing at this age after 1970 . May JEHOVAH GOD safeguard and protect all these heroines and legendary ladies
Can you point out one instance where you noticed that the interviewer was disrespectful ? As for being ignorant, you should learn to keep quiet when you have nothing to say. Someone who doesn't know was asking questions for people who doesn't know as well to know. Do you expect him to act like Mr know all ?
@@ugwumbatv9475 Firstly, you didn't do your research properly and you are not in know about the culture of the people you are interviewing. This Egwu Obi is one very few greatest Igbo traditional music ever made. You sound very uncollected and lackadaisical. Secondly, an Anambra person should have interviewed them. You don't understand our mannerisms and nuisances.
@@obinnaizuora5013 can you first give me a thumbs up for going into their village to rediscover them. Since we did this video they have been engaged in different performances by people who have long forgotten about them even though they love their music. All you do is condemnation with the mentality of Mr-know-it-all. Bros you are not my lecturer so kindly wait till I send you my exam papers to mark. You did nothing to expose them to the modern world but I spent my money to do that and place them both on our local tv channel and on RU-vid while you were there preaching Anambra mannerisms. Enyi, si ebea puo
@@obinnaizuora5013 check my channel for other great dance groups of the 70s, 80s and beyond. Nkwa-Umuagbogho and Nkwanwite from Afikpo dates back before the war. Check them out and show some love. Stop the condemnation or better start your own. These dances made waves across Igboland and we just brought them back to you guys
