My problem with BL3 is AVA, not to mention they killed my main Maya.... and things happen in front of your character and you do not participate at all what a joke

I will never understand why they went the route they did with BL3. BL2 was such a beloved game and it is top of the tree in terms of looter shooters. I believe if they don't go back to the BL2 blueprint the franchise will just die.

Whoa, Boom Puppy! Probably my favorite weapon I've shot myself with. Re BL2: The team that made it is gone with the winds, and for better or worse, new team will make a different game. I just hope that they'll avoid all the stupid mistakes from BL3 and Wonderlands.

I don't really have a problem with BL3, the only gripe I have with it is the story, but that's it mostly. I still prefer BL2 cuz I can play it anywhere and I'm more "in touch" with it. And no, a BL2 remaster would be a horrible idea. Developers seem to forget how to do coding and programming when it comes to that, and try to sell you a garbage product for $60 hoping you buy it because of nostalgia.

Imagine if Gearbox/2K actually listened to their real fanbase, they might actually put out a decent game!! Honestly I'd be happy if they went back to Borderlands 2 like they did with the Lilith DLC but actually cleaned it up, fixed the OP levels, add some more Pearls (actually good ones/fixed the crap ones) and started putting out quality mini DLCs or something!! Or did a remake, with a completely new engine, one closer to the original BL2 in style but with major QoL fixes and adding even more Vault Hunters to play as and more DLCs than the OG game!! Would be so hyped!!

Bl3 was a game that had decently fun movement and other than ava i liked some of the new characters but please gearbox return to form bring back the best we don't have to acknowledge the 3rd game beyond wyanwright and hammerlocks marriage in my opinion

I would love a BL2 remake with the skill tree philosophies of the newer titles, with multiple action skills to change up playstyles even more. Idk if it'd be as amazing as it sounds in my head, but more end game builds besides the same 2/3 that every character has, would be so damn good.

I think that what fans want and what they tell you they want - are two different things. Speaking for only myself (a consistent player since day one release of BL1, and a fan who loves/hates all 4 of the main games), what I think fans and overall gamers might respond to best would be a game that is BL1 in gun systems, gameplay, and atmosphere, but with the skill trees, content, and story of BL2 (or BL3 depending on your perspective). Just my 2 cents.

Having played all Borderlands titles since launch with BL1 to New Tales, cant help but agree with your assessment of the series. To this day, I still play BL2 and just recently got it again on my new pc after playing on console for years. Have even looked into some smaller titles that are Borderlands-like but hard to say to go for them or not. No matter what though, Gearbox needs to look back at BL2 and not BL3 for the future of the series. Cause as it stands now with the upcoming movie and BL4 along with Wonderlands 2, I see Gearbox closing its doors pretty soon. On the ironic end, it is possible the Borderlands movie may pick up sales for BL1 and BL2, but that is still very unlikely.

TPS is my second favourite Borderlands game. I've played Tales once. I don't plan on playing New Tales. I don't play BL3 often because it always takes me a while to get into it. Wonderlands clearly wasn't bad enough if they're making a second one. I waited a while after Wonderlands came out and even though i heard all negative things about it, i still bought it digitally on my PS4. I use my PS4 Pro for Borderlands. My Xbox One S and Switch is anything goes.

If borderlands 3 had the writing from 2 it would have been a home run, the gameplay was solid but the story was meh. There is no reason for another wonderlands, one was more than enough...

For me Borderlands 1 was the door to the franchise when it came out. Sure it was flawed and sometimes boring but it was the first looter-shooter game and I still played the hell out of it. I loved the lonely feeling of that game the waste areas and just go wherever I want. It was lonely still thrilling in the same time. Borderlands 2 was the master piece of the series. It had some issues here and there but it was a real blast I still play it. TPS was decent. Often boring, copy paste BL2 and lack of content but still fun. Borderlands 3 was such a dissapointment despite it's potentials I barely could push myself through it. I forced myself to play it because I wanted it to be good. But after some time I just couldn't get myself to start that game anymore. I didn't play it since and I never miss it for a second. It was the learning money to me. Till BL3 I never preordered any game anymore till I could see if it is good or bad. That saved me from preordering Diablo 4 and how good decision it was! And I never preordered any Borderlands game since and damn how bad they are! Since that the whole AAA industry have fallen in the abyss including BL franchise. Sad times... The community just want a game as good as BL2 was and for this corpos call us toxic and bigott and I don't know what else. I never tought I will be blamed for wanting a quality that a company delivered to us already before...

2:20 I think the complaints about BL4 and BL3 being on the same engine doesn't really make sense. The only really good part about BL3 was its engine, and expecting a new engine makes no sense. BL2 and TPS were on the same engine. Many companies used the same engine for sequels. It's just way too expensive to make that from the ground up for no benefit. It's not how game creation works.

Absolutely. BL2 was peak looter shooter gaming. Im still playing today. Been moonshot farming the warrior trying get a perfect corrosive conference call. I'd rather have top tier gear very rare. Like in bl3 you het legendaries every few seconds from even mob enemies then they dont teel special anymore. Thats just one of the huge list nof differences that makes 2 the best by far.

At this point, it’s *seems* that 2K/Gearbox can milk BL2 the way Bethesda milks Skyrim, and call it a day. Might as well turn BL2 into Skyrim of the BL series.

Honestly I prefer playing Borderlands 3, but Borderlands 2 overall is a better game. The aspects for me that are better in BL3 keep me playing, but I still return to BL2 sometimes. I started up a one life FFYL lands playthrough that's been super fun. I won't ever do another playthrough of BL3, but i love endgame build crafting. I can sit down for hours build crafting in BL3 while i can't really do that for BL2. Build crafting with lower tier legendary or even pearl gear is reliant on bugs and glitches to even play in an enjoyable way. Even then it requires technical fasests I don't really find fun playing with. Borderlands 2's loot system is better, the story is better, the endgame content is in my opinion equal to if not less than BL3, when it comes to action skills I personally think BL3 has some amazing action skills but even if they themselves are not enjoyable the system of custom tailoring an action skill without needing to reset your skill tree is amazing to me, the skill trees in BL2 were better not because of the skills but because each character has their own purpose and style VS BL3 where you can do anything with anyone at various degrees, the characters were better in BL2, the atmosphere was better in BL2, the DLCs were better in BL2 (honestly if you separate the story category i feel that for BL3 all they needed to do was add a takedown or actual raid boss with each DLC and it would have been better than BL2), the loot to progression system was better in BL2 as BL3 was scaled in all terms to endgame grind, late game grind was better in BL2. There are more categories that I'd want to tag on here, but this comment is long enough already.

If a good Borderlands game comes out, it'll be in spite of Randy himself. Borderlands will continue to drift away as Randy continues to reject feedback and what foundation was liked by fans of BL2. Anyone familiar with Pre-Sequel knows Randy and other higher-ups fucked that game over, let alone Destiny took over the Looter Shooter scene and continues to have a strangle hold on when the only other competition to it is Warframe, which either people like both or prefer one over the other, which doesn't even cause any real grind into the other. BL3 & Wonderlands are grinding against what made first few entries good. The writing is akin to Lightfall of Destiny, but what has Bungie done with their asses against the wall due to player drop off and management sweating? Give into player feedback and lean into what people want. Even back tracking on Sunsetting and devs admitting is the wrong decision. Even slowing down on weaponcrafting in favor of drops again. Randy ignoring fans is why Borderlands will rot, even if you don't like Destiny: Bungie can at least admit their wrongs and that's leagues better than Randy shitting on the players and turning CC into villains.

I like Borderlands 3 but they need to make a sequel to Borderlands 2. It had the perfect ending for a sequel. They found a map of vaults. The sequel should have them go to one of the vaults and after that they can go to a few more. Then they can add more as DLC. It could be a big game if they want that. It's hard to believe they didn't even take advantage of that.

I personally loved wonderlands and pre sequel both more than bl1 and bl3. Issue is I never wanted a bl3, I wanted a new bl2 long before pre sequel existed. Issue is absolutely everyone wants the sliding from bl3 (which doesn't suit bl2 imo or how it plays) or alt firing modes another thing people want. And people prefer the movement of bl3 due to its engine which is dogshit on ps4 and xbox one. Everyone claims they want a new bl2, but than ask for bl3, which shows what they really want. I love bl3 a lot dont get me wrong its fun. I wished the community didnt abandon wonderlands so soon before its development could have finished.. I wanted to know what would have been next

Don't really have a problem with BL3 to be honest,. Just wished that they kept Perals in the game and they had a better story. The add on content was amazing for BL3 is amazing which I hope they keep for BL4.

i want the story and charakters from b2 and the gameplay and world from b3. the true problem with borderands 2 are the unskipple cutscenes and everything that has to do with waiting. for example all log search quest are shitty because you find one log and have to hear through it and even if you know there the rest is you have to fucking wait till the log speach is over till you can collect the next one. on multiple playthroughs its a pain in the ass and in the end you wait 3-4 hours for nothing in a playthrough.....and i dont even want to talk about the slag systhem on the highest difficulty.

Another rant about how bad Randy is.... yet he is the one who brought you B1 and B2. Without him there would not have been B1 and B2. That's a plus for me. I played B1 and B2 to death and still run them occasionally. I enjoyed B3 and Wonderlands - though I've only played them through once - OK games but didn't grab me like their predecessors. I'd be very happy if we go back to the breadth and width of B2 in content and playmanship. I'll probably get it no matter what the reviews, but for me to be playing it on and off for 10-15 years it's gonna have to be be very special.

We disagree a bit on the 2 vs 3 argument. Lackluster story aside, I liked BL3 a lot. Fun vault hunters with a huge variety of builds, a vast majority of the 400+ legendary items being endgame viable if you build properly, beautiful environments, and excellent DLCs. In fact, I think the BL3 dlc is overall way better than the BL2 dlc. Outside of Tiny Tina dlc, the BL2 ones are kind of bland to me, and I basically never play them. I constantly do 100% one life runs of the base game though, which is perfection. BL3 could have used more true raid bosses, though I personally feel like the majority of BL2 raid bosses arent played much. No one is really thinking "cant wait for my next master gee run!" Wonderlands was an embarrassment of a Borderlands game and combined with the garbage writing of the new Tales that is so over-woke that it borders on parody, I have near zero faith in Gearbox anymore to deliver a good BL4. At least I always have 1-2-3 to play forever.

Just remake bl2 to have the quality if life stuff bl3 added better visuals perhaps a few more dlc and that would be enough oh and the gore that bl3 had.

For me at least got Pre Sequel as a extra game basically with the Triple Pack as I got all the DLCs (besides Sanctuary one) and even after beating the games normal mode once each I already en almost finished with a 2nd normal mode for Borderlands 2 as Krieg just need I think 2 more big DLCs and finish the Scarlett one as bruh when said you get your money worth even today the only game that comes close to that is RDR2 as everything else was shit or the remaster of Destroy all Humans 2 the devs frogot how the make good games anymore now that they got the money they only *wish* they had back then in the 2000s

Bl2 was the best game in the series overall. Bl4 needs to take inspiration from bl1, 2 and 3 in my opinion. The aesthetic and environments in bl1 felt so good. The wastelands. Bl2 had the best story and villain. Combined with the best loot system and the pacing of getting loot. It's rewarding! Bl3 had the best combat and endgame content. Too much loot drops though and awful awful story. Bl4 has all the ingredients right there to make the best game ever. Not gonna be easy, but hopefully they have devs who actually played the damn games.

Just got done playing BL3's Handsome Jackpot DLC and it was definitely superior to the base game. While that's not a hard accomplishment it felt like they put in a bit more effort and possibly removed problem writers. That being said Wonderlands was more than a cash grab, it was a betrayal of expectation and trust. After Assault on Dragon Keep I was hyped as h*ll for more of Tiny Tina running B&B and showing the power of escapism. But one watch of the trailers on Steam and even at 14 USD I bowed out. It was just stereotypical D&D jokes, repeated jokes from BL2's own Dragon Keep and lazy writing. My friend at the time I played that game did not play Borderlands and that moment where you find out Tina is coping through B&B over losing what may well have been her only friend, keeping in mind that while others are friendly she only had him in a portrait, made him want to buy both 1 and 2 with all the DLC. He owned it all by the next Friday when he got paid.

Anoitments qool until you have to chose betwen 250% damage and 75% recoild reduction 4. no weapon balance the weakest hyperion smg god roll variant having somewhere around 6500 damage the strongest smg having minimum 70000 yes thats the plasma coil 5. the entire game trying to be woke and behave like the tipical toxic twitter user who dont care about anything else just "what is offensive" and "what inclusive" 6. game breaking bugs still in game 7. you can buy skill tree for every character fl4k skill tree traight up wont work or not worth to use half of it feels nerfed to the ground when other characters can kill only with a classmode 8. the game having performance issuess on pc i still played with it a ton but if the gunplay not made the way it made im never buying the game and after what i saw i just realised well we have borderlands 1 and 2 we have tales from borderlands the rest is content that made by people who hate the core idea what is borderlands in general Randy f__ed up something if he manage to lost a player like me

BL3 was worse than BL2. It was easier, had less enemy variety (no stalkers or rats), less DLC, fewer raid bosses. The weapon handling was better, but there was less variety and creativity in the weapons. There were no troll weapons in BL3, which is sad: no Bane, you couldn't be downed by the WTF shield anymore. Figuring out what was going on with the Bane or hot to use the WTF without killing yourself was fun.

Just do your job, its simple! It's interesting to think about how bL2 had a moment of absolute perfection, which got us exited for the future (bL3), and it came, and now we FEAR the reality that bL4 is eminent to come out at some point down the road because it will give a good game a even worse name, and yeah, we just want more bL2 at this point, but I wonder if at another previous point if we would be optimistic about moving forward. That is no longer the answer and I would not steer you wrong by saying this. The ONLY way (to transcend this industrial hell), is to go BACK (to simplicity, the wise say that simplicity IS divinity, and vise versa). Whatever it is they are doing now, they simply need to give it a rest!!!! It's like any problem in life! God above, sweet lord and savior, king of kings, this company is run by man-children 🤯... I never thought I'd be standing up to adults in this exact manner or position, especially adults who make games, albeit not necessarily dumb kids games, but definitely they are games, and I think games should be made by people who have a certain maturity if you wanna call it that. BL1: Set the stones for the rest of the series Bl2: Best story, not even close ((in the main line)) Bl3: Best gameplay, personally loved the skill trees, gunplay, actionskills, etc. Why can't they just take what made BL2s story so great and use that to make better stories? I know nothing can top Handsome Jack, but don't make something that tries to be Jack and is just worse in every regard I hope BL4 is gonna be gameplay wise similar to BL3 ((with less legendaries obviously, holy shit the constant **BLING** is annoying)) and just go back to see what made BL2s story so good. I know the likelihood is gonna be rather small, but I at least wanna see them try...

I actually like Tiny Tina's Wonderlands but that DLC was AWFUL! I think it would have been a much better game if it wasn't made during the COVID-19 pandemic. It would have had more chapters and missions and I think they would have made the DLC better with more stuff in it. I hope they put more effort and love into Wonderlands 2 as I did love the world and I like that you can create a character THEY can't kill off.

Borderlands 3 (and practically all subsequent games from gearbox - except New Tales from the Borderlands) killed my interest in new Borderlands games. I honestly don't care whether or not Borderlands 4 is released. I have precisely zero faith in the perverted Randy P(r)itchford to produce a quality Borderlands game. I agree, I would like to see a reversion back to B2 or even a more simplified one like B1. Oh well, time will tell.

We can never get another BL2. Why, because BL1 ( my favourite ) Was a bland 1 biome world with realistic weapons, no real story or dialogue, no crazy drop rates, no hand holding, just a brand new game to discover all on our own. Bl2 was dynamily superior in every way shape and form in comparison to bl1, it added and improved on every aspect of bl1, the comedy and eater eggs were incredible. Presequel was a decent quick mini game but nothing to write home about. I enjoyed bl3 but it was a circus. A parody of itself.
