It's wonderful to hear Hillary's perspective on so many things. She seems to be a level-headed, hard-working, quiet person. These traits have served your family well, and you are a blessed man in that regard. I can't imagine what it must be like to share your lives with the world, and therefore, fall under the scrutiny of everyone who wanders into your home via the internet. You both seem to handle it well, though, and I enjoy your positive spin on farm happenings and life in general. Criticism from the teeming millions kind of goes with the territory, but rarely is it worth very much, and I'm glad you don't give it much credence. Congrats on being real, keeping things balanced, and for succeeding, both as a farm family and as regular people. Blessings to you both!
As a couple working together on your home renovation and building up a farm, raising a Family, has been inspiring and contains a certain charisma that attracts viewers like myself. Great to see and have positive people teach and share their experiences. Thank you both.
There are TONS of things worse than being boring. I was told by my ex one of the main reasons she was leaving me was that I was boring. She ran off with a partier and, as you might guess, after a while "boring" looked pretty good but it was too late. I found another "boring" person to be my partner and we get along just fine being boring together.
You guys just confirmed you're really complete and complementary partners. It's refreshing to watch a couple conflict and drama-free. You Tube greed seems to be pushing more towards 'drama' and scripted videos. I like the common sense, calm, natural sharing of your channel. Comfortable, informative and welcoming. And Hillary laughs at Pete's dad jokes.

Hi both, find your channel inspiring, I am currently transitioning into farming as my grandfather slowly retires, I am based in North Wales UK, it is a sad state of affairs here, all the smaller farms are bought out by larger ones, it's a struggle to make ends meet, hence I'm drawn to your story. We just have sheep though!
I keep thinking, ok, she is a nurse, and many other RU-vid homesteaders wives are nurses. The videos of your history were helpful because this didn't come out of no where. And some don't mind being celebrities and that is an income source for them. A lot of stereotypes get shattered as we see your wife, or other women, doing the hard work on the farm. Not a surprise to me.

I didn’t read many of the comments on your anniversary video… I can’t believe that someone would be offended or triggered at what was obviously a spoof…. I thoroughly enjoyed it and shared it with my friend with the preface “ME…..” (In reference to myself and my husband)…. I thought the video was hilarious and especially loved Hillary rolling you up in the tarp and then running… ingenious!

But a holy book is still the best way to store morality for long-term use, and the Bible is a great resource for that. Your approach of getting morality from current norms and mores is........weak, and flux.

Sweet Chair selection!!! We tried to send you all the (RAIN), we got over 15" on our farm in Southwest Mi. the last few weeks of Oct. 1 of our corn fields has about 6" of water still standing on it. Good luck with the mud, were getting by slowly.

I'm in that stage where my wife is mostly taking care of our young kids and a lot of my time on the farm is working solo. It's been tough sometimes, and it's a relief to hear you say that the early days were hard for that reason, but it got better. Thank you for sharing!
Re gears: We had access to several tractors when I was growing up that all had the same problem, namely that the shift pattern labels were merely suggestions, and not good ones at that. The motto was "Grind it till you find it" :)
Everyone is different no matter what her role in the video she'll always be an important party she's your wife! I've enjoyed all the last videos and I feel she's more in her element, not everyone wants to be recorded working half the work force likes to stay focused and get it done 😁.
The last question was what i was wondering awhile back. My wife was a farm girl and then became a nurse. When i was in the hospital we had a snow storm and my Dr. Wanted to know who was going to clean the driveway. I told him she had a key to the skid steer and was very capable! Thank you both for letting us look over your shoulders. And by the way, you do have dogs on your farm. You just say here cows, or here pigs and they come running!

I have learned a lot about myself from just listening to you. One thing I learned is that if you are not content with what you have, you are not likely to be contented with what you would like too have. You are a very lucky man to have such a devoted wife.
Hillary's fabulous and not boring. I don't have a lot to say either but I'm a great listener. She's a rock and that's a good thing. Pete's lucky to have her and she's lucky to have him.
When I first started watching, I didn’t notice Hillary, she was a background person. But one video made me realize how pretty she is, and her smile is great!

Personally I'm in Hillarys camp. Professionally as a (now retired Arson, Fire and Forensic investigator) I had to testify in open court. The thought terrified me until I realized that super investigation and preparation gave me enough confidence in myself to face the grueling cross examination that could come in a court setting. However since retirement I can say I don't miss that portion of life. I get grueled by my 8 grandchildren enough, and totally enjoy that. 😉
Even though we always want to please others I wouldn’t worry about the haters,people are just a steam kettle these days. Be it from the deterioration of the country or the horrible scourge called social media or just there tendency to be unfulfilled. I have never understood why people take the time to watch a video and then give it a thumbs down. Seems to me they need some pasture time. 😉

The value is in the reality of living a real life on a farm and making it work which to me both of you do incredibly well. You have both helped immensely in incouraging me to go on and to try. You have showed me it is possible to farm on small acreage. I greatly admire what you both have accomplished together. I find myself having to redirect my thoughts from envy to admire as the latter is not productive. When we renovated our house, we renovate the second floor first and was able to live in the lower level and then vice versa. It was not ideal, but it worked.
