I mained Ottomans in team games. They're so flexible and forgiving with their military schools. You can make enough military to defend or even harass if the enemy is playing passive with just 1-2 military schools + 1 stable. Meanwhile you're booming with trade in the back or going for an all in Feudal push. My late game comp was always pure Jans + Great Bombards. They perfectly synergize with each other. The bombards kill any infantry, siege and keeps; whilst the Jans protect them from any Cavalry push and keep the GBs alive against springalds because they can repair. I'm glad they finally buffed Otto in 1v1 too.

he didn't even use all 10 or 11 of them. Just 4 were very effective most of the time. GB's shoot way too fast and should be nerfed to shoot maybe twice a day.

Think of it this way you're 100% yourself so an extra 100% makes you double sitting at 200% 2X

The 100% rate means it will only take half as much time as production doubles so a 100% increse in production equals to 50% of original train time. Considering a train time of 24 seconds, a 100% bonus to production means it goes to 12 seconds as 24/2=12. But for aoe3 it's directly onto train time so a 100% decrease to train time means instant training, the Russians for one have a 25% card so it goes to 75% of the time taken, a 35% card then goes down to a woping 40% of original train time plus the church tech that makes troops train 25% faster(all europeans have this) to a total of 15% of the train time on most of their infantry (granadiers don't get the buff for 25% from the first one since I believe it is for blockhouse only)

It's 25% faster compared to pre-buff.

100% production rate =/= 100% production time reduction. Rate = speed, not time.

You are trolling.... We just witnessed the live testing of new GBs... They are fuc*** awesome.

Bro 1. They basically have the same hp as clockwork bombard and siege works GB take 7 springald shots to kill. 2. Their aoe dmg dropoff is tight and not as big as mangonels because they one shot all units non siege units except knights and elephants in a small aoe. 3 They outrange normal bombards and unupgraded springalds, they’re only outranged by upgraded springalds and culverins that are supposed to counter them. Despite that they one shot all springalds and one shot unupgraded culverins when they have chemistry. Unless microed actively, a GB will beat two springalds by itself if they don’t try to kite it or if they don’t have roller shutter triggers. Edit: not to even mention that they can be boosted in fire rate by mehter and siegeworks to fire faster than normal bombards.

I was sitting here thinking the same damn thing! EVERY English I play does such an insane aggro in the beginning that these imp buffs would not help me. And his opening was so open to attack. Literally just a TC and his opponent didn't move around the back or anything.

EXACTLY! You literally can't win against a good English player who goes all in with spears and longbows.. you just can't. The longbow range just destroys whatever you have. Only chance is to somehow hold until castle but if the English player has a brain, he'll just start building rams and force a fight out of you in which case you are massively F'd. @@paultrimble21
