One thing I noticed is the USB-C2 port is falling apart inside, it's not aligned. if you clearly see it's bent on the right side. not sure if anyone has noticed (Check at 2:14 timestamp on this video)? other than that it looks to be a good one that I can give it a try.
I got the 3 in 1 charger that changes angles. And let me say, after being used to be able to tilt the iphone, I wouldn’t buy it if it didn’t. Guess they had cut corners to not make it super expensive.
As an all-in-one, this does look like an excellent product. It's not cheap but probably worth the money assuming you have the full set of Apple products.
I have been looking for this exact form factor but with all the latest standards including the magnetic pad for airpods. Unless apple upgrades their standard soon, this is a perfect charger.
Awesome review! You stated that the charging station "SPLITS the 100W between the connected devices" so how can it fast charge a MacBook AND iPhone AND apple watch? This would be 120W for just those 3 devices (Not including the AirPods or anything else connected to the USB ports).
I have the Belkin MagSafe 3 in 1 charger that charges my phone, watch and AirPods. It’s $149. This doesn’t offer enough additional features for me to spend that much.
Went ahead and got my super early bird this morning. This fits my needs pretty perfectly. I currently charge my iPhone 14 Pro, Apple Watch Ultra, AirPods Pro, iPad Pro, MacBook Pro and my diabetic pump at my nightstand and this will allow me to do all of it
Imagine having a built-in docking station for the macbook while connecting via USB-C. DisplayPort-HDMI, 2.5Gbit LAN, USB-A... Would love to see that :)
would be nice if there was something to hold an ipad on yhe front so you could watch your ipad while it charges which i would prefer over watching something on a phone in horizontal orientation
@@xeon2k8 If I knew I'd invent it myself. Yet the shortcuts can speak Phone at 20% or Phone at 80% and with a microphone picking up that speech could flip a solenoid to power at 20% or disconnect power at 80%.
@@jockaud it was a rhetorical. They cant. I dont know what mambo jambo you said about speaking and microphone but just connect the base to smart plug and then make it switch off with an automation. I have it like that
I actually really dislike the fact that the power supply isn't external. 1) It would've allowed for a way sleeker design (I found this one to be kind of bulky for a device apparently trying to be coherent with Apple "design codes") 2) The power supply usually is the first element that will break over time for this kind of products. An external one with USB-C would've been great for potential replacement AND could have been used for travel if needed The cryo-thing seems legit cool though (literally)

I would have loved to back this project, however unfortunately they refuse to ship to me in Australia - and wont explain why either, I reached out to ask but they only repeated that they only ship to limited countries. Other GAN chargers make power plugs that work with proprietary international adapters. Very frustrating that small startups make that effort but large organisations like ESR can’t be bothered!
I have become a huge fan of standby mode in IOS 17 beta for the night time clock feature. The fact that this stand won’t allow me to have the phone tilt is a deal killer.
@@etanlg I honestly don't think $179 is all that expensive for all the tech this thing will supposedly have. It's got so many things going for it and for me the idea of having a single charging station for literally everything I need charged on the daily is worth it.
A video that could be very useful for your viewers is one aimed checking in if an egpu with last gen intel Mac could still be relevant. Right now the M2 seems to compete with PCs on every level except for 3d. Your Blender tests with the M2 ultra have the PCs with 4080s still destroying the Macs. But what about a last gen intel Mac with a top spec graphics card? would it be faster than the unbinned m2 ultra for Blender? 15w magsafe charging for the current iphone then when the next iphone comes with more than 15w magsafe charging, this will be outdated right away. The next iphone is just around the corner guys.
Is 15W supposed to be fast? Isn’t that the same speed as a regular charger that comes with the phone already? A fast charger is 20W. I’m not very good with this but I wish somebody could explain to me
I was going to participate in the Kickstarter but it’s over $200. Canadian and I already have their previous generation cryo- boost 3-1 mag safe stand. And I know for a fact I’ll never use the usb c or usb a ports on this like not even once

@@rahulravella input is 20W, because it has to be USB PD capable and that’s the lowest wattage charger Apple provides that meets this standard. But the Watch only accepts 5W, so that is the fast charging mode.
