Compilation video of some of the fastest street cars in the south! Most of these cars complete 10-30 mile cruises, race in Drag Week, and more and you can catch them in any street car shootout in the South!
@1:07 thays my buddy chris becker at shadyside dragway in his turbo LS powered 240sx named juggernaut...its like a dark grey color now tho...very very fast car!
Gene Paulk there is no need for a jerk like you down here. If you do come down this way please keep that same attitude so one of us proud Mississippians can show you the error of your ways.
N/T racing to us real racers is a real run what you bring and hope it's enough scenario. We don't like times posted so what??? Who wants to watch a boring ass bracket race? Nobody!!!
We know how fast most of us are because we are here every weekend trying to find that tenth of a second.. I get you guys wanna see how fast everyone is but the only way to really know is to make a pass beside them at that current time. It's a guessing game always wondering if you bring power in too late or not enough! I get it though but it'll cost You!
Wait a second...how the hell can those cars do a burn out without two guys running beside the car and one dumbass stand in front of it? What kind of sorcery is that?🤔🤔
Eric Rainbolt I have been involved in drag racing my whole life and watching those guys hold on to the car and the dumbass standing right in front of the car scares the crap out of me. No reason to stand in front of the car at all, I have herd some people say that's how the driver knows where the groove is.lol because the damn driver sits right in front of the freaking tire if he don't know where the groove is he has no business driving.i seen a video a couple days ago and a guy damn near got ran over I don't know exactly what happened but it looked like he sorta got stuck and at the last second he got out of the way he had to jump! It amazes me that the track let's people stand in front of them. It's not a matter of if it's a matter of when it's gonna happen. I really enjoy this kind of racing but the tracks need to get control of the starting line before someone gets hurt. And make the drivers wear all safety equipment they are supposed to for the class car they have. Nitrous guys fire suit sfi-15 blown cars Sfi-20 and I would think turbo cars would be sfi-20 but I'm not sure. Gloves, shoes, and Hans device or the other brand. I have seen guys on street outlaws with the little thin jacket you car buy from jegs. And have on shorts or blue jeans! And no gloves. Just would lime to see a little common since before someone gets hurt bad
...Concerning historical accuracy, In all actuality, as evidenced by your own thumbnail picture containing that wheel standing patina Camaro on this video, the coolest of American 60's and 70's muscle cars, still regularily getting built up into the Fastest Street Cars, originally came from Yankee Territory, having been manufactured Up North around Detroit Michigan, specifically...LoL...8P

Actually I live in the south also I run this class and no we don’t really drive these dam cars on the street really smh if you really have a car like this you would know bruh we pull them off a trailer and may go up and down the road from time to time a real street car could sit in traffic on a hot day you know dam well they can’t do that just saying

Meh. The real south, Alabama is not represented in this video. Phoenix City,Huntsville,Montgomery, Holiday beach (Bessemer ) Steele (Alabama international dragway), Birmingham (Lassiter Mountain drag strip) have some awesome fast racecars. Good job on the video, just inadequately incomplete.
Because it's grudge racing and there bets are sometimes huge amounts..you don't want everybody knowing you ET or mph..its the nature of that type racing!!
What the holy hell are you talking about? An 8 second 1/4 mile at 5280' is probably the stupidest thing I've read since Paul Ryan was speaker of the house.
1/8th mile and no times is ghetto af. No difference between this and the races going on behind a taco stand in Tijuana. Same shit...8th mile and no times
@@pacefka Well, pace, whether you like it or not any car that's street legal counts as a "street car". I feel like you're one of those guys who won't call a car "real street" unless it's a fucking daily driver on E85 that's done Drag Week 80 times.
No shit, dude, but you and I don't make the laws. The laws saw the car must have a lighting system on the front and rear (which cars like the Crowmod and Tom Bailey's Camaro do), they have to have a rear license plate, must be fully registered, must have 2 inches worth of tread in their tires, and their exhaust can't be above a certain amount of decibels when idling. Street legal pro mods, like the ones on Drag Week, meet all of these qualifications.
