@@BobMartellacci there was when I had the stock battery and controller in place. But the bike makes so much more power now, that the small loss in low-end torque is negligible now
Damn nice build! Are you able to consistently get 14k on the stock motor? Any over heating issue? I might just go this route. Been waiting for torp to release their x3 controller but they don’t have a timeframe but they said they will be releasing one.
I honestly have not tested out the range with the new controller / battery just yet. I am planning on attempting a 70-mile ride next month from Chincoteage Island to Rehoboth Beach, so that should definitely put this thing to its limit.. likely not make it 100% the way.
BTW when you get a chance I think you should check out e&c new controller the noisy cricket its stupid fast and has an app to control it with built in Bluetooth no dongle required and all changes can be made on the go. Also has a HUD for speed, battery, rpm, regen, motor & controller temperature etc.. I think you should check it out I recently purchased this for my mx650 with their new 72v 30ah battery I out the box I go 65+, anyways be safe and thanks
I'm selling my Modified RSF650. I'm looking at up grading to one of 3 options. The XXX, Pro SS, or Roadrunner pro. How tall are you ? I'm first of all looking for a bike that I'll be comfortable on.
I’m 5’8 and this XXX felt a bit small at first, but not now after bigger tires and dropper pegs make it feel just the right size for me. If I didn’t have the XXX already though, I would probably buy a Pro SS for myself if I had to choose now.
Well if you’re only looking for more range, then the extender is all you need. Going 72v is quite an investment since you also need a controller at the same time.. what kind of range are looking shooting for anyway
@@sonle7019 I think it’s perfectly fine to 60 MPH with all the standard components, though I don’t recommended going much faster.. At that point, just buy a motorcycle lol
