I was just listening to his radio show the other day on Sirius/XM Rock The Bells Radio. Another devastating loss to Hip Hop. R.I.P. my brother. Thanks for the memories......
Not the first Puerto Rican rapper. You had Ruby Dee and Prince Whipper Whip of the Fantastic Five. You also had Charlie Rock Jiminez of the Fantasy Three,Devastating Tito of the Fearless Four as well as the Mean Machine, who released the first bilingual rap song. Rather Markie Dee was the first Puerto Rican rapper to see commercial success. Rip,to a bonafied rap/prodcer legend.
Without the Fat Boys The Hip Hop industry would not be where it is today, the 80s was a better time because of these guys. Full of charisma and a key ingredient 2 what made Hip Hop Fun back then. Run DMC, the Beastie Boys and now the Fat Boys. Prince Markie Dee thanks for helping me have a great time back then RIP
Wow that sucks. The Fat Boys were a part of my childhood. And to have died at 52, thats not old old either. The Human Beat Box died at an early age too. I'm about to watch an old fat Boys Video and take it back to a time when the music was young and innocent. RIP MARK ANTHONY MORALES.
I got to meet cool rock ski and Prince markie D at a club in la back in the day that night Jody watley came out with her album song I'm looking for a new love..
Some of them fat and some quite lean but they all step back when I’m on the scene.. Rest In Peace.. the fat boys was one of my all time favorite group..
Please help this voice over person! Totally meant in a constructive way. I’ve had to learn trades and skills on the job before. Someone at Rolling Stone needs to give this young man some lessons, tutorials, and tips on voice overs. This is not fair to him!! I can hear he has a voice that isn’t being utilized!!
Rest in peace Markie. You and the Boys provided me with lots of entertainment when I was a young teenager. And that mattered cause I grew up in an abusive family. Thanks for the escapes.
Yeah man same here. Back when hip hop wasn't about promoting killing, drug dealing and being a deadbeat dad. For some reason I woke up thsbmornijg and thought about the "fat Boyz" movie and had to see a snippet of it for old time sake. Crazy that I found out this way that my man died smh One love and much peace and blessings to all!
