🦞 Bowie the Lobster: A Rare Spectacle of Nature's Wonders! 🌈*
Welcome back, lobster enthusiasts! In today's video, we're diving deep into the captivating world of Bowie, the extraordinary lobster that has taken our hearts by storm. Bowie is not your average crustacean - sporting a mesmerizing split coloration of half blue and half red, this rare gem is also unique as it is half male and half female. Truly a one-in-a-billion find!
After stumbling upon this incredible creature, we turned to you, our fantastic followers, to decide Bowie's fate. The resounding consensus was to welcome Bowie into our lives as a beloved pet, and thus began our exciting journey of building the perfect home for this iconic lobster.
We collaborate with the experts at the Bar Harbor Oceanarium to provide Bowie with the best care possible. Together, we've encountered some unexpected challenges, noticing subtle changes in Bowie's behavior, including a noticeable decrease in energy.
In our quest to rejuvenate Bowie, we've decided to embark on a mission to gather fresh green crabs along the shore. Green crabs are known to be a favorite treat for lobsters and could be the key to bringing Bowie's energy levels back up to their vibrant best.
However, as we navigate this critical phase of Bowie's care, we can't ignore the possibility that Bowie may not fully recover. Should the signs of energy and healing remain elusive, we may face the heartbreaking decision of releasing Bowie back into the ocean - a bittersweet farewell to the rarest lobster in the world.
Your support and engagement have been crucial throughout this emotional journey, and we invite you to join us in every step as we care for and cherish Bowie. Will Bowie make a triumphant recovery, or will we have to bid adieu to this legendary lobster? There's only one way to find out - so dive in with us and let's navigate the unpredictable waters of Bowie's destiny together! 🌊✨ #BowieTheLobster #RareLobster #OceanAdventure

Your compassion and stewardship of the ocean is one of the reasons why this non-lobster-eating, landlocked Kentuckian has gravitated to your channel. Thank you for taking exceptional care of such a unique creature and for releasing this beauty back into the ocean. Here's hoping Bowie lives a long, fruitful life.

Agreed! Most seafood doesn't agree with me so I don't eat it, but watching a fisherman who cares about the animals they are harvesting for food is nice. One big reason why our oceans are being overfished is due to those who don't care, so much respect to those that do. I watch a sheep farmer who cries when she loses lambs and she has even set up a little retirement pasture for a few of the ladies who have become channel favorites so they can live out their days eating grass and enjoying the sunshine.

Because of you finding Bowie, I also discovered Leon the Lobster who was rescued from a super market lobster tank, and Brady Brandwood. OMG! I just watched a video of Leon shed. I had absolutely no idea that they totally shed their WHOLE entire shell all at once. It was quite amazing to watch him pull his entirely new body out of the old shell, and very stressful to watch. He had grown an entirely new body right down to his eye covering, and antenna. I commend you for doing what you felt was in Bowie's best interest.

Thank you, Jacob. You, your family, and the gentleman from the Oceanarium did the best y'all could do. It just wasn't meant for Bowie to stay in your lovely safe haven. Maybe you could try keeping another lobster sometime! Thank you for being such a good role model for all the kids and families that follow you!

Jacob, that was a very interesting chapter. Thanks for bringing us along for the (vicarious) experience of meeting Bowie, the celebrated lobster. This is one of many happy memories you and your son will share, long into the future.

- R.I.P. BOWEY. WE WILL MISS YOU. MAYBE ONE DAY WE WILL SEE HIM/HER AGAIN. You did the right thing. It probably would've died in the next day or two. I hope it will survive but we may never know. Thanks for all of your great videos. ❤

I really appreciate and respect you, your crew, family, and local institutions who helped Bowie; y’all allowed us to really understand how special Bowie is, and we were privileged get to know Bowie better. I sincerely hope for special sightings of he/she/him/her from time to time in the future. Happy Holidays everyone and to Bowie! ❤️💙👨🏽‍🎤🦞🎉

I love that you put Bowie first. I’m sad that Bowie didn’t like his (using his instead of its) new home. I agree he needed to be set free. I pray we get a chance to see him again. Long live Bowie! 💜💕❤️🙏🌈
