God commanded Joshua to be strong and courageous and to meditate upon the word of God day and night.. Traits needed in leadership. The children of Israel told Joshua that they would follow him as they did Moses if he would be strong and courageous. True prophets of old suffered many hardships and many were killed or jailed for speaking truth to power and a sinful and rebellious people. They were courageous. I loved
Great talk! Rebekah did a great job giving real life examples and explaining the nuisance of those situations. This was very helpful. At the end of the day, fear of man is a form of idolatry.
We include children in our Lord's Day worship-for their benefit as they are part of God's people. For conference sessions, it's more of just a practicality - we do not have room for that many children in childcare. Additionally the children are a bit more "chatty" because many of them (and their mothers!) are not used to including them in something like this as they are from different kinds of churches that do not always include children in worship services.
