One of the best films about the insidious war, which, with its cruel, raking “paws,” enslaved countless innocent human lives. “The Feat of Odesa” is a 1985 Ukrainian Soviet feature film directed by Vladimir Strelkov, filmed at the Odesa Film Studio (@OdesaFilmStudio). One of the largest projects on military topics.
The plot is based on true facts of the defense of Odessa during the Second World War. The defenders go to the front line in trams, and the enemy hits the city with direct fire...
It should be noted that a number of famous Soviet actors were involved in the film. Thus, the role of the commander of the defensive area troops, Rear Admiral Gabriel Zhukov, was played by Vsevolod Shilovsky. The role of the cheerful sailor Kostya Chebotarenko was played by Igor Sklyar (“We are from Jazz,” “Battalions Ask for Fire”), a popular singer and actor who has starred in Odessa more than once. In the role of Aunt Grunya, bravely throwing German lighter shells from houses, the audience saw Natalya Gundareva (“Winter Evening in Gagra”, “Moscow Holidays”). A simple Ukrainian soldier with the last name Borsch, dying from an enemy bullet, was played by the most popular Borislav Brondukov (“The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson”). The patriarch of Ukrainian cinema, Konstantin Stepankov (“Battle for Moscow”, “The Legend of Princess Olga”) played the role of Colonel Osipov. In small roles, viewers saw already well-known young actors Dmitry Kharatyan (“Green Van”) and Sergei Prokhanov (“Mustachioed Nanny”). Ernst Romanov (“State Border”), Viktor Mikhailov (“Allegro with Fire”) and many others also appeared on the screen.
But initially the cast could have been completely different, and see what exactly it is in our “Photo Proof” section.
