Portia is the FIERCEST and smartest mom of the show. She is a realist, and yes I love Violet but her family is extremely privileged to be able to marry “for love”

Portia is also playing the role as the head of the house since the husband was useless and eventually died with debt. She carried the burden herself with all 3 girls who seemingly ignorant of the issues. Violet was widowed but the family was rich and she has Anthony to be the head and protector of the family, as well as 3 other sons.

Unpopular opinion. Lady Featherington cares more for her daughters tha lady Bridgerton cares for her brood. And Lady F was more successful. Only one of her daughters was problematic. While each and every one of the Brigerton clan was somehow scandalous
