I’d love to see a train that slowly mined whatever was in front of it, put down safety dirt or cobble, and had a train track farm on itself to basically have a train that would move forward forever. Could be great as a skyblock style map where you’re forced to stick with a train moving in a straight line into infinity.
Only issue would be the sheer amount of chunks it would gen. Having a custom mod to delete chunks behind you would be sweet, but there's also that niche case of going to far causing issues, so you'd have to go in one big circle instead

@@weeeeeweeeeweee my understanding is the game now considers the train as it's own dimension, and within that dimension everything is static, like normal. It's just that dimension exists in the overworld, moves around, and is basically witchcraft. So the bed is always placing you at x, y, z in 'dimension' and everything remains the same in that sense

Have you figured it out? I can't get it to work. When I load Interactive the game crashes. I'm trying to integrate it with VS and Clockwork but the 1.20.1 version of Interactive won't play nice. If you have any insight, I'd appreciate it.
I remember discovering buildcraft and being jaw dropped and 15 years later I discovered Create with their trailer and having the same feeling that when a kid. With these kind of new physics engine on Minecraft I’m again having the same feeling.
I'm so excited this could mean we can get a voidtrain style modpack now Train automatically rolls into new dimensions and you collect resources as it moves forward slowly

It gets crazier, since the contraptions are VS ships, they have a separate height limit due to how VS itself stores ships Essentially, any Ship has its own chunks in the Shipyard, separate from where it is physically at in the world

Dude, I had so much fun with Valkyrien Skies and create. I had the floating islands world gen going, and since that world gen works horribly with villages or any structure really, i got burned out replacing all the POI with either floating island equivalents or void. creates blueprint system works amazing for it by the way.
@@unrealgaming7048 Not really, the simulated project is way more polished than Create interactive, just look at the time they take to create it, it just show how much they are more intentional about their project than the valkyrien sky team.

My first thought when tinkering with this was a 3 drill bore on a windmill that slowly spins, extend it out with a mechanical piston, and just clear out a huge circular quarry on a certain Y level.
Now we can do Fourier transforms in Minecraft using those propagator bearings… that’s awesome lol It means we can have the endpoint of a contraption approximate any path in space
Being able to build on contraptions, and put contraptions on contraptions completely changes how you play with Create. I love it. There have been quite a few builds where I wanted a contraption on a contraption, but something like that just isn't possible.
The number one thing this mod will provide is mining and forestry airships / tanks. Valkyrian Skies didn't allow for saws or drills to function on their ships, but it looks like this mod will when it merges with Create Aeronautics. I love the minecart drills you can already make with Create, but I can't pilot them. I would love to make a massive airship with a bunch of saws, and cut down whole forests to get my wood instead of building a tree farm like always.
You got something wrong there… This mod is Valkyrien Skies, it will never merge with Create Aeronautics, because Ryan said that he will try to prohibit any kind of compatibility between Create Aeronautics and Valkyrien Skies.
This is so wild. Theres so much complexity i cant imagine doing much in a single player world, but big servers could have the coolest machinery if they could handle the performance.
you could make a train that makes it's own tracks, or blocks to fill in underneath tracks, tasks that often need farms and restocking to trains can now be automated on trains!!
I've always wanted to make a windmill that rotates to simulate following the wind. I don't know how easy it is to get power OFF a subcontraption, but if I can, my idea can finally be realized. EDIT: I've tested it, and it sorta works! The power from the windmill will propegate backwards through the propegation bearing but ONLY if the bearing is receiving rotational energy, so the stress is included in the main system. Setting it up can be a little janky, sometimes a bearing will just break when you activate one; but it works once you get them all going. I recommend turning off placing on the base bearing. I also recommend keeping a blueprint of the moving sections in case they break, I lost the windmill during testing once.
You're gonna have to rewrite the code for derailment a fair bit, in order to allow for more satisfying spectacles when trains runnoff the end like that... More specifically, if there's a suspended bridge that gets blown up in the middle and leaves a huge gap (or you just have a set of rails pointing off the edge of a cliff), the locomotive engine(s) and all attached cars need to be able to maintain their momentum and go arcing gracefully off the end of the rails, rather than everything immediately flopping over like depressed cows as soon as the engine derails. Like, make it so the trains only truly "derail" one car at a time, rather than all at once.
We're planning on making the cars connected to the track until they reach the end to prevent the trains from stopping early by hitting the track. We are also going to make the constraint holding it to the track have a certain strength so that head on collisions work as well as allowing for trains to derail if they take a corner too sharp.
One thing that i will say is when you make the floating spining magic lamps flying in a room and you can put an enchanting table over the baring so that it looks like the enchanting table is doing evrything
Making a parkour game, where the blocks: - Move rotationally - Move with multiple angle (multiple rotation points) - Move threw walls so you have to time your actions - Sometimes be replaced in their rotation with a sawmill that hurts you
Decouple the engine before you put it in flight mode, but I i think you're on to something there; you could recreate Doc Brown's time train. Anyway, I know it's not that exciting, but Ithink the best part of this mod is the ability to make a moving train base. Now we can travel to POI like far mines of other structures and take our whole bed spawn with us. Good stuff!
Ok, ngl this is the kind of level space engineers physics needs to be. Minecraft has stationary structures ultra reliable, but the motion... my god, i love how clean this all is, they dont seem jumpy at all!!!! This is very amazing!
Imagine a server made with create, which is built for fighting each other, and you build giant contraptions, stuff like mechs, planes, airships, trains and other stuff. If i had friends i would try it but yeah...
I feel like this mod would make it harder to make farms because I'm assuming, the crops would just drop on the ground since they’re not on an actual contraption, and you would also need to power harvesters.
@@manender1020 idk ill test it one day but harvesters only pickup crops if they are on contraptions I’m pretty sure so not sure how they would work with create interactive’s take on contraptions
With this mod, it also means you can literally have trains within a train. It's so cool. What can this be used for? Hell idk. Maybe its like a train edition of those big car-carrier trucks and i think youd still be able to use the wrench to transport them to and from the carrier carriages.
Some critique on the intro, had music playing on one side only in my headset. It's a bit unpleasant! would much prefer 50/50 music distribution in the headset. Just letting you know!
since valkyrien skies is a dependency I believe now create contraptions should work on airships from it, which means imagine a mining airship that you can move anywhere you want, deploy mineropes down to the ground mine an area and move to another place.
Snow Piercer in Minecraft is now possible!! New original modpack concepts in perspecitve.. (Or even better: Launch a lonnnng train with dozens of themed wagons speeding indefinitely through frozen deadly world, put everything on RP server, see whats happening🍿)
You can make a whole in bedrock and have a mechanical piston or an elevator or some other device push blocks down into the void, and then start building a base in the void off of that block.
I really want to know what the difference is between this and create aeronautics. Because i feel like that mod is becoming more and more outdated now that other mods are already making the features
Create Aeronautics adds a bunch of new blocks and contraptions that let you make flying airships and planes, all integrated into Create's progression. Its backend, Create Simulated, is very similar to this mod in the sense that it adds physics to many Create related stuff. That mod depends on Landlord, a custom physics mod made for simulated/aeronautics/their other projects (offroad expansion, liftoff, etc.) while this mod depends on Valkyrien Skies, a different physics mod which is already released TLDR: Create Aeronautics is much, much bigger.
@@petey5009 Yeah, they're designing it to not just allow normal stuff to work on moving vehicles, but allowing new stuff that couldn't be done by just slapping it all into a fancy physics engine like valkyrien skies
@@auspiciouscheetah Tanks using conveyor belts, airplanes with functional flaps, connecting multiple things with ropes, magnets, etc. Valkyrien Skies' physics are mostly arcadey, while Create Aeronautics' physics are mostly realistic.

But what's more interesting is that you'll have Population Growth and Decay as well as a Few Horror Mods coming into the world around the 14th to 16th Centuries (I.E. The Dark Ages or the Middle Ages), and occasionally thereafter. Mods like The Man From the Fog, The Evolved Cave Dweller, The Midnight Lurker, The Nightmare.Jar, The Fog Dweller (The one who watches) and even the Wendigo all causing havoc upon the Player's until the Renaissance Period and the Age of Exploration in the 16th and 17th Centuries. What version of this are you using? I'm trying to get this to work on 1.20.1 but Interactive makes the game crash. Clockwork 0.1.5 and 0.1.13 work with Create and VS, but Interactive 1.0.2 beta1 keeps crashing it telling me that Create didn't load properly along with Steam n Rails and Structure Gel. There's no other version of Interactive for 1.20.1.
Quick question. So you can add things to contraptions while its moving and what not, but can you REMOVE them as well? Like have a train carrying a large vault or any type of cargo and have something be able to lift it off the train without having to disassemble and reassemble the train?
