Yes! Gridlock is by design. The founders wanted ideas debated. They didn't want the party in power steamrolling the opposition with no recourse so they built in checks to that power

The so-called antifederalists were actually federalist because they wanted to ensure a federal structure, the structure of a federation. They ensured that the federal government will not become a national government.

@Fuert Neigt , I think @ Kyle Dempsey had the short simple answer to your response to @ Audrey Mehring, but my addition to thread of thought is, you simply cannot win an argument with people so entrenched in their opinion that they refuse to be wrong, even when facts are staring them in the face. They WILL NOT go looking for answers except for those that agree with their position. They will continue to push their narrative even when they have been proven wrong, therefore "censorship" or "partisanship" by those who own or control digital Social Media Platforms unfairly continue, as the partisans that are the loudest and most vocal align with the owners of those media platforms.

I just did a Data Science project on this topic involving basic linguistics. Hamilton used the word “upon” with a high relative frequency, so it was something that indicated when he wrote fully or contributed to a Fed Paper. James Mac777 exactly, and the “one person one vote” thing is super cringe as well. The problem I see occurring (that only Jordan Peterson has spoken about that I know of, in terms of public figures) from the democrats is they don’t care about being right, or helping the people which they claim to care for. They simply want to bring and tear the entire system down because they believe our western culture is repressive and founded on slavery and whatever nonsense they claim otherwise. Yet, cultures such as Islam get a free pass even though they truly are the ones that are against basic human freedoms and terrible treatment of women. The USSR was run by individuals who hated ethnic Russians and their own culture. It’s the equivalent of a self hating white person who very progressive saying what a horrible place the US is. They are such trash, and nobody ever talks about it. Insane.

The only way that I disagree with you is that in saying that we are a Republic you are correct but that still falls short. It is important to say what kind of a republic we are. We are not a singular or unitary or national republic but a Federal Republic. If we are a singular or unitary or national republic then the states are subservient to the federal authority but if we are a Federal Republic, which we are, then the states do have rights irregardless of the federal authority. The distinction must be made or the door is wide open to argue for federal supremacy.

Jose Emilio Orozco: It's not a failure in teaching; education was and still is an intentional political and social re-engineering project by neo-Marxists and even corporate interests. They've long since succeeded with political science, and now they've moved on to corrupting even the hard sciences by actively teaching that objective reality doesn't exist; logic is a tool created by the white male patriarchy to maintain their power; math is racist; men are women; not _all_ women have vaginas; and men can have periods too. And it will continue until every free and democratic country in the world becomes a postmodern dystopia that looks like a cross between _The Matrix,_ a gay _Mulholland Drive,_ and _Mad Max._ Because Republicans lack the balls to do anything about the education systems in this country -- and Right-wingers in general don't seem to have the slightest problem financing these corporate-commie propaganda mills or funding the incineration of their own Constitution through their tax dollars. Remember that the founders lived more than a century before mass compulsory education became a reality. Had they lived to see it, I believe they -- unlike the dumbed-down sheep of today who completely lack foresight -- would have had the wisdom to immediately recognize it for the slave factory it very quickly became; stressed the fact that it's the parents' right and responsibility to educate or procure education for their own children; and vehemently squashed the idea of public education before it could become more than a whisper. "Give me four years to teach the youth, and the seed I have sewn shall never be uprooted" -- often attributed to Vladimir Lenin, but it just so happens that every major megalomaniacle dictator, from Hitler to Mau, had a version of the same sentiment.

And Patrick Henry was one of the leaders Against the constitution who feared that a centralized government would use it to usurp the powers of the state and only with the push from the Anti-federalists and the Anti-constitutionalists did they keep the constitution tight and explicit in limiting government and to appease the anti federalists- they agreed to adopt the bill of rights as amendments to make it crystal clear - The federalist argued it wasn’t necessary because the constitution didn’t give the fed govt that power - but the anti federalists knew that they needed to have the bill of rights included to make damn sure. Can you imagine where we would be today without the first 10 Amendments to the constitution??????? Man has certainly acted like man since that time and tried and succeeded to usurp the constitution ever since it passed and as generation after generation pass on -we lose touch with these principles more and more Forgot who said this “” once the majority realize they can vote themselves benefits from the treasury - the American experiment will end””. Marx said that “”America will voluntarily move to Marxism by using democracy to get there””.........The Russians said “”American greed will allow them to destroy themselves “”- and the Muslim fundamentalists have said “”we are going to use their freedoms to destroy the big Satan from within “”

One of the main problems with today's youth, and even those much older, is they never learned, forgotten, or ignored American history. I own compilation books of the writings of our founding fathers, such as the very important Federalist Papers. These documents, if studied and followed, would help us to stay on the right path which God ordained this country to be - A Beacon Of Light In A Dark World.

A good friend of mine is a psychologist and he also teaches psychology. I brought to his attention that his job specification is actually to behaviorally modify people psychologically and he rejected that idea. I've discussed with him the importance of foundational considerations that are theological and philosophical to discuss with his patients and students in order for those to not just find but also understand meaning and then developing having a process for valuation for decision making, intellectually, emotionally, morally and spiritually. I explained that this could help create the best paths for the individuals regarding life decisions that could be made in their best interest and the interest of others. Perhaps if he actually discerns The Federalist Papers he would have a broader understanding of the benefit of such foundations. I believe that benevolent collaboration should begin with ourselves so we can more keenly Express them with others.

My parents taught us the feds, like theirs before them. Important things always taught by family. School is to get you ready for work...mixed with babysitting. Ben Franklin wrote that university is to share ideas of what you know...not to learn subjects fresh. So many hours in a day...no way schools can teach faster than you can study and read on your own. It's the new babysitter 7 or 8 hour 5 day school schedule for boomer generation babysitting that killed education. Took the accountability away from parents and handed over to Jack's of all trades. Masters of non...ppl who aren't invested in your future

I think one of the most important things mentioned in this video was Ben saying that the usual stalemate in the federal government (which people complain about so much) is a feature, not a bug. In order to make large, sweeping change, a supermajority is required, meaning we pretty much all agree.
