That’s completely false. Places that have decriminalized hard drugs are now seeing the highest spikes and increase in rates of overdose, homelessness, children taken into the system, and crime-including violence-since the law(s) were introduced.

@@reacher9856 I doubt these places control production and sales otherwise there would be no cause for increased crime since cost would be low and less reason for accidental overdose since drug dosage and quality would be assured.

I believe they say it's gun violence but they include suicide. Just like how they say gun violence is the #1 causer of kids but they count 18 and 19 yr olds and they include suicides. Also very misleading.

Those programs do not work especially not for people who don't really want to get clean. That is why court ordered rehab never has worked.

I used to work in the medical department of a state-run substance abuse rehab center. It's true that those programs don't work. Especially because the medical part is owned by Big Harma. It's just a big cash cow for psych drugs. They offer people mind-altering psychiatric drugs that are legal, in exchange for the illegal or illegally obtained prescription drugs they are addicted to. Not to mention the pharmaceutical substitutes that keep people addicted without the high. You can imagine they would not be too successful. People are after the high, so why should they stay on a drug that doesn't get them high but just keeps them straight? In addition, they give out Narcan kits like candy...that is the antidote that reverses the CNS depression of opiate overdose. So you can get strung out on drugs, as long as you have a "designated driver' who will administer the Narcan when you are almost dead. So you can be revived and then do it all over again. Very helpful (not!) All of these drugs end up being abused and sold on the street so the addicts can buy their drugs of choice with the proceeds. The recidivism rate is off the charts. Without a commitment on the part of the addict, these drug-based schemes are a waste of taxpayer money and don't do much good. Oh, and by the way, there is now a cottage industry of halfway houses and post-rehab group living homes that also receive government handouts and are dens of drug abuse. I'm not saying it's all bad players, but it is certainly not a favorable risk-benefit ratio. Just an insiders' two cents.

I agree, although I hadn't heard it put that way. If it wasn't for Narcan, the death toll would be orders of magnitude higher. In my earlier nursing/midwifery career, Narcan was used on newborns with respiratory depression as a result of their mothers being given Demerol or other narcotic painkillers during labor. Now it's used to revive those idiots that tempt death with recreational drugs. My how our world has changed. I could go on with other examples but I'll quit here.

Narcan saves lives, my cousin almost overdosed, but now lives a normal drug free life.

I wouldn't trust the doctors either. They are on the take as well. Too lazy to provide effective health information and treatment, or refer to someone else who can.

Precursor chemical are common use drug companies in Mexico that are legit have already been caught selling chemicals to extract morphine from opium to convert it to heroin many years ago we would have to go after legally registered drug companies that are crooked also in Mexico
