Welcome to the pre-BIS and BIS guide for Cataclysm Tier 11. I've compiled the sets that I think will have the most value in tier 11 raiding. These sets are based on the idea that your primary goal will be to off-tank where applicable in order to spend the rest of your time in Cat Form.

oh man perfect timing, im swapping from boomy to feral offtank for my groups 10 man so i wasnt sure how to gear out as off tank. Go super beefy or focus more for damage and this really helps ty.

Probably the best guide on tank druids right now and makes sense, looking forward to your full fledge feral guide on how this works gameplay-wise. Would also like to see if you could make an overview on which bosses in the first phase raids that you should primarily dps and which to tank, if that is not too much to ask. Could also do it myself, but would, but would like to compare it with another source anyway.

Seen a lot of discussion about trinkets for tank druid. Do you not recommend Vial of Stolen Memories, or more tanky trinkets like it? Currently running Stolen memories and Key to endless chamber. Not sure if i should use Unheeded Warning over chamber tho

Stamina trinkets are great for when you're actively tanking, so absolutely. But swap on a boss by boss basis, depending on how much you'll be tanking.

Hey there bear friend, thanks for the vid ! How would you go regarding Glyphs, would you go Lacerate / Mangle / Berserk or can you replace the first two with Rip / Bloodletting ? (Gotta admit, I don't remember if some fights allow you to tank and dps at the same time like Iron Council in WotLK...) Maybe the option is having two specs and switch between the two depending on encounters ? Chers !

Definitely a fight-by-fight basis type of situation. But it's honestly only realistically atremedes, valiona and theralion, last phase council, cho'gall, and sinestra where you'll spend a considerable amount of time in cat form (on atramedes all of your time in cat form). Hoping to get a more detailed guide out soon, but keeping 2 specs and some dust of disappearance in your bag will be the way to go!

If you went Leather working, which bracer enchant would you go with? the 130 agility or 195 stamina? or maybe depends of how much gear you have in general? just want to be assured on what is smarter

Depends on your role for the encounter. If you're tanking 100% the stam enchant is better, but if you ever go into cat form then the agi is better.

The vashjr "world boss" boe polearm is bis but very expensive/hard to obtain.

@@Riyaniwow not wrong, he originally dropped a blue that got upgraded in 4.1 to epic as a catch up mechanic. I would expect blizzard to keep it as a 4.1 epic just out of time constraints

Blizzard just clarified the world boss BOEs wont be available until after raid is released.

nice short informative vid. 2 things im not on your side here. 1. In pre Raid-BiS even tho it will be rare and expansive. The best choice will 100% be the world boss polearm of mobus. 2. I made no sims or tried it on Beta but on Private servers the 2nd Trinket in the BiS setup was basically 100% of the time fluid death

Yeah didn't think about the polearm, but yeah, wont me obtainable by most people. Fluid Death sims significantly lower than the key-- could be issues with sims, but looking at the raw agility values spread out over it's ICD, Fluid Death should be similar if not slightly better than key.

Hit is important, just not from a defensive perspective. Defensively it only helps you in procing your mastery and nothing else.

Stamina doesnt give mitigation tho. Agility/mastery gives most mitigation

Agility is bugged right now still giving armor, the dodge you gain from it is very minimal per point. Agility is the best dps stat however. Mastery is basically a halved stat because its a 50% chance to acquire the shield. Not that mastery is bad, its still (probably) our second best secondary as a tank since it applies well to both tank and cat. Tank sim should be out next week and we'll have more information on dodge vs mastery.

@@ReHLab agi also gives crit which is a prerequisite for our mastery. If agi or mastery is superior might be another question, but its definitely not stamina for mitigation.

@@Variia Who has ever said Stamina is for Mitigation? Stamina is effective health AND AP when actively tanking. Where is the confusion? Stamina is on par for agility in terms of AP gain while tanking, and only effective health when not. Agility/mastery will always be better when not tanking. It doesn't change the fact crit you gain is a halved stat for tanking because SD has a 50% chance to apply on crit.

@@Riyaniwow Can you do a video breaking down talent choices for Feral Off-Tank? I'm struggling to decide if I should be sacrificing survivability on some of the choices for more damage

@@faelarie4726 Yep, all of that will be covered for sure. Personally, I did a lot of heroic raid testing and feel like sacrificing some survivability is fine for sure, especially if you don't tank 100% of the encounter.
