Alisaie back flipping out of the stack marker is classic Alisaie

The reason why Y'shtola plays perfectly is because she sees aether and the fight literally takes place in the Aetherial sea. And not because she's just Y'shtola.

I picked the scions to fight against Hydaelyn. There was this AOE skill that attacks in a circle spot around Hydaelyn and everyone runs away from her, except Alisaie and Urianger. Thats when Estinien shouts something like, "Alphinaud, watch out!" and Alphinaud who was beside him and in a safe spot away from AOE, yells back in confusion, "What?!". Apparently Estinien got confused of Alisaie and Alphinaud in the battle and that cracked me up.

I think he was satisfied with the fight, but he would have liked going out as the winner. He would have still been dying from his wounds like you were but he'd still send you back to your friends, so his final scene wouldn't change too much.

I think Zenos is also the perfect embodiment of Ultima Thule. If he wins, he is peerless and has no purpose anymore, like the Omnicron. If he loses, you were an obstacle he could never surpass, like the Ua. Either way, it was the end of the road for him.

I think in those last moments, where you see your life flash before your eyes, it might be Zenos seeing that thru his stolen Echo. I think he finally understood what gave the WoL's life meaning, so his final act was to call down the teleporter, because he wants the WoL, his only friend in his mind, to live. He realized what he wanted to give the WoL wasn't what the WoL actually wanted or needed, so he gives them their life back.

@@wyrmoffastring I mean, even without using the Resonant on WoL he started to doubt himself before that. WoL was indeed his mirror, but the reflection of what he could have been if he had ran away from Garlemald's *nurture*. He was so entrenched into his idea that existence was pure misery if you didnt feel mortal and risk it all, that is was human *nature*. A feeling he projected on WoL, thinking they experienced the same thing (and on everyone else). In the end he realized he could have had a happy life all along.

I think they handled Zenos as best as they could, fitting into the overarching theme of the expansion. And that deus ex machina against the Endsinger was pog.

I'd like to think she cried because after millenia, somebody still remembers who she is. Not as Hydaelyn, but as the former traveler herself, as Venat. :')

I liked his end in endwalker. I felt like I understood him

I didn't think he added a ton to the early part of EW (though it was worth it for the face he made when Fandaniel yeeted himself), but everything after that was really good. I was worried they'd try to give him some kind of redemption arc, which I don't think would have worked at all. He realized he had to help us in the end, but it was still for *completely* selfish reasons, and that feels much more true to his character. Also, the amount of emotion his voice actor packed into that last "I..." is insane.

@@17cupsofcoffee I do agree. I also think it's interesting to juxtapose a character you cannot forgive despite causing comparably minor trouble with a character many do forgive despite killing uncountably many people for non-justifiable reasons

@@totalmadness3561 I believe the reason why Hades gets vastly more forgiveness despite having significantly higher body counts is due to the different types of selfishness driving their goals. Hades only gave a damn about his people and the original Etheirys. The end goal was always to return things to how they were, no matter the cost. He was to be a hero for his people and his people alone. And to be fair they existed first and were forcibly taken away. Zenos on the other hand only gave a damn about himself and only himself. Every sacrifice was made only to get his salty runback. No amount of mental gymnastics could give Zenos justification.

People complained about the garlemald encounter being hard even tho it was supposed to be. Can't have challenging content in casual msq!

@@pluna3382 The problem with the Garlemald solo duty was that it was _long_ which means if you screwed up near the end of it, you had a *lot* of replaying to do. Hard battles are okay when there's not 15+ minutes to replay. Nothing is more frustrating than failing something and then having to re-do 15+ minutes of play to get back to the part you messed up on. That, and time limits usually rub people the wrong way. I hate seeing a giant timer there, and not knowing where I'm supposed to go, and having very little ability to heal, it's like... one small mistake and its all over. That, and it didn't help that the first few weeks of Endwalker were "if you DC, you probably ain't getting back on for hours", and a long solo duty with a low margin of error (pre-nerf) + the possibility of DCing or crashing made for an extremely stressful experience. The duty itself was nice and all, but the stress and anxiety made it very not-fun.
