You do realise Katharine was never within 200 miles of the battle of Flodden. She was regent of England and made the sensible decision to delegate control of the army to the Earl of Surrey, an experienced commander and she administered England. Henry made her regent because he knew you cannot run a Kingdom from a battlefield.

That poor ambassador must've been batshit terrified during Henry's interrogation. He had to make sure he was truthful enough while not bruising Henry's ego. Oh, and based on Francis' suit of armor, he was roughly five inches taller than Henry.

Reneissance was a crazy time in our history : 1) pepole used large weapons in battle : pikes, great swords , huge windlass crossbows ... 2) the kings were crazy handsome and oozed no homo energy all over the place ... 3) pepole could go study any subject and enter in the top 10 experts in a matter of months 4) the catolic curch was an almost secular organization everyone can kinda go behind 5) banks could go bankrupt ... I live on the South Coast of The Uk, and the Royal Armouries have maintained one of Henry's hilltop forts at Portsmouth, to the east of me. The main Armoury is in Leeds, several hours car journey from me, but i plan to get there, its on my "to visit" list.
