I am one day post op and I feel like total crap. I just want to cry because everything hurts. my back my ribs my bladder the incision sites. it hurts to cough to stand to sit to breathe. but you give me inspiration that it will get better. I am doing my best to be hopeful. I'm and so afraid to pass wind but It hurts worse to let it roll around my stomach. thank you so much for this video
Oh no I'm sorry you're having a tough time! It will get better. It was rough for me to, but the best part is it is only temporary pain/discomfort. I know it hurts, but you definitely want to pass wind/stool. If you don't pass stool in 1-2 days take a stool softener. Awe, wow that touched my heart. I'm really happy I gave you inspiration! I will be praying for you. I wanted to do until day 7, but I had technical difficulties. You're welcome!(:
After the 3rd day it gets a bit better. Still have hardly no appetite but its picking up more and more. Today I am going to try some toast with veggie broth and graham crackers though I doubt I will get much down. I think each day gets better.
Natalie's Life Good day Ma’am..Hope u r fine..I just wanna ask if you experienced shortness of breaths after the surgery..I am on my 6th day now after the surgery & I am still experiencing shortness of breath..I am a bit worried coz in about a month I have to be fit for work again especially my work demands more physical efforts..thanks & your reply will be highly appreciated 😊
Im day 4 post gallbladder removal unfortunately my family didn’t step up to help me recover it’s been very hard i ate too much for lunch and I’ve been feeling sick all day very sore thank you for documenting your journey
Just to give everyone a little ray of sunshine. I'm sure you're looking up this video because you're expecting to have this surgery done, the same thing I did before my surgery. Today I had the same procedure done. 8 hours ago. They also cut and repairs my bile duct that were blocked and very painful. Not to mention removed a cyst from my liver in the process. I feel very good and in mild pain. I took out my trash, loaded and unloaded my dishwasher, cleaned my kitchen and have been snuggling my baby! It's all about how you handle your pain. Kniw when to take your meds, know when to relax and when to let yourself be active!
Whatever surgery a person has, is going to hurt afterwards, maybe a few weeks, maybe a few months but eventually the body repairs itself and with time, a person goes back to doing every day tasks.
I really like what you said about your family. I’m currently in a lot of pain and will soon be having my gallbladder removed and without my family helping me through everything it would be awful. A great support system makes all the difference.
Natalie thank you so much for keeping a storyline of your gallbladder recovery. It has been helping me Tremendously!! I had mine taken out this past Tuesday (June 22 at, 2021) and like you are saying I'm still sore but can tell I feel better too! I've have lost about 12 lbs as well. Out of all the gallbladder recovery stories, yours is the best!!! Thank you again for sharing!!! ♥️🙏🙌🤗😇
2 days ago got my gallbladder removed and umbilical hernia repaired. I can honestly say I feel more pain from hernia repaired!!trying everything to feel better. Watching all of you guys on RU-vid helps me a lot ❤
hi Natalie, got mine out 8 days ago and i'm doing good right now, i even went back to work today. i just ate lots and lot of fruits and veges, not carry heavy stuff i walk back and fort but not to much and even rode a motor bike going to the office (as a back rider) :), it was so great not to feel bad after eating unlike before i can't eat anything even a piece of bread coz i always ended up going to the e.r, i just have a problem right now with constipation which i really have before i had a surgery. What i did was i ate ripe papaya after every meal i have and i think its more good than drinking some laxative that will make our stomach feel like there was a tornado inside :) thank you natalie for the videos that you shared, it's really a big help to me,. GOD BLESS you.
+Goldengirl Mich That's awesome!! Isn't it such an awesome feeling not to feel sick/get sick during or after eating food anymore? What helped me before my surgery was eating cherries. They can be frozen or raw, but cherries helped me. Also, drinking apple juice helped me as well. But if ripe papaya helps you then I would stick with that. You're welcome! I'm so glad I could help you. Thank you!! God bless you as well.(:
Hello, I had my surgery today. I just wanted to thank you for your updates on your recovery, it helped me a lot and to know what to expect. Thank you. 😃
+shari Copeland I hope you start to feel better soon! You're welcome and I'm so glad my videos and updates helped you! I appreciate you watching. I will be praying for you!
Hello Natalie. I just had gallbladder removal surgery two days ago...June 13, 2017, one I year exactly to the day after you did. I feel very sore of course, but as you said...It is soooo nice to be able to eat food, without feeling so very bad afterward. It got to the point that even eating an apple upset my stomach terribly, forget about fatty foods. I was sick for several months, but it took a long time to narrow things down, wait time for tests, and to see specialists. I have absolutely no regrets. I look forward to having less pain, so I can sleep, and perhaps lose some of this horrendous weight gain and bloat. Take Care
I'm 5 days post op still feeling tender and bloated but walking as much as I can and hoping to make a full recovery! Sucks that I can't have my dogs near my lap cuz I usually like to sleep with them :(
I had my surgery this past friday, 8/10/18. Im on day 3 and aside from all of the soreness and pains I can say Im getting better. Thank you for sharing this!
@@u-leejohnsin1303 days 1-5 were the most difficult for me. After about a 1week I was sore but I could move about alot more. I didn't really feel like myself until about 4 weeks to a month. I dont really have any complications.. I cant eat bacon, sausage, or heavy meats without having a restroom close by lol. You're doing great, take it slow a day at a time
I really don't know how to @someone but thanks for replying lol post surgery I was smoking 10 Cigs a day and I couldn't help it I smoked 2 and had a anxiety attack so I took my xanax lol and I'm better but if I can get past the belly button pain it will be heaven lol but thanks again for responding
I am on Day 3 after surgery. Having some heartburn last night and today. Eating small little meals sticking with cream of wheat and soups. lots of water so far after surgery. Thanks for your videos helped me with the unknown.
+M Ford I had heartburn maybe 3 times after surgery, but nothing major. I took Prilosec and that helped me. Now, I don't take it at all. I'm glad I could help you. I will be praying for your recovery!
I just had the surgery 5 days ago thank you Lord I've never felt so good I'm so glad I got it done I waited a long time and I ended up going to the hospital and being there for 4 days before they took it out but believe me it was the best thing that ever happened to me I'm not scared to eat anymore it doesn't hurt I can't even tell you how happy I am
I'm laying in the hospital right now my surgery is in 4 hours now I'm terrified!!!! They keep telling me it won't be that painful yet everyone on RU-vid says diff!! Then the lady next to had the surgery done she came back screaming and crying and I asked the nurse she said oh she's being dramatic! Ughhhh I'm scared now!!!
+sweetxo girlox Don't be scared! The surgery is not painful. I honestly think that lady was being a little dramatic, because for me, the surgery was not painful. The recovery was painful, but I honestly thought the recovery was supposed to be way more painful than what it really was. Don't be scared. It will be okay.(:
@@suzihazlove4979 Yea, it isn't a little thing. Just had mine done on Thursday at like 4pm. It is now 5:08am on Sunday. I feel like I've gone through the ringer. My dog passed away Tuesday night as well!
Just got mine out 5 days ago… I actually feel fine pain-wise, I just keep fighting the dizziness and nausea for some reason! I didn’t have an issue with it the entire time until now :/
+Neil Baltazar I'm glad you're able to walk better. I will be praying for you! It can take a little while to heal, but, in my experience, I noticed I felt better than previous days.
I just had mine removed 3 days ago. It was not bad at all. Every patient is different. I felt discomfort, but it was all tolerable with pain meds. My stomach is still swollen, but every day it gets better. Don't rely on the experiences everyone posts....everyone is different.
I had mine removed a week ago. The best advice I can give is walk around as much as possible to get the the gas out. When I got up to pee was when I would walk very slowly, with help from someone, until I burped a couple of times.
Thank you for posting these videos! I just had my surgery this morning and so far, recovery has been much better than I expected! Definitely tired and sore, but I was so terrified beforehand so I am very relieved that it is over and that I am doing so well already. Obviously, I think I still have a lot of pain buffer from the medication they give you during surgery, but I have been trying to stay ahead of the pain by sticking to my medication schedule. Also, walking around actually really helps a lot. I walk slowly and am careful not to bend too far or too quickly though. Applying ice to my incisions reeeeeaaallly helps a lot too! Provides good relief from the feeling of pressure on my wounds. I have been drinking water and juice throughout the day, and had a bowl of soup for dinner. I've been taking short cat naps throughout the day, but with two toddlers demanding my attention, it's been a little difficult to get very much uninterrupted rest. Hoping for a comfortable night sleep tonight and will see how I feel in the morning!
It's funny that the only medication I got was pepcid. I didn't get any pain pills. I had mine doneon Thursday and it kills me when I try to get up or sit down. I worry about getting a hernia and I see her rolling up and down her bed 2 days after. Wonder if I should get some pain pills.
I just had my gallbladder removed on 11/10 so this is day 4. it initially felt like I'd been hit by a bus because my entire body hurt. Now I'm sore and it hurts to breathe deep.
+Rasheida Mccall That is normal to feel like that. But you will soon feel so much better! Just take it easy and let your body heal. I will be praying for you!
Alvin Cruz flushing isn't all that effective. Some people keep getting gallstones and are prone to inflammation and infection. Others have almost non functioning gallbladders. I attempted flushing stones out before but it was either painful or non effective. I got surgery and it's not so bad, better than wasting time on flushing.
Thank you for sharing. I’m on Day 5 with what seems to be the same soreness and pain level you described. I miss sleeping on my side. The hard as rock stiffness in my upper and immediate lower abdomen makes comfort a challenge. Again, thank you for sharing your story.
+Amanda Martin As I continued to recover, what helped me when I tried to sleep on my side was putting a pillow on my side towards my incisions. You're welcome and I hope you continue to feel better!
I just got my gallbladder surgery and your videos help me a lot I know is from long time your videos but help me to think that i going to be ok I’m glad i found your video much love from QUEENS NEW YORK I know GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME XOXO 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Have absolutely loved this series about your surgery! Mine comes out in 2 weeks! Did your pain ever get sharp or feel like a burning pain after surgery where your gallbladder was? Was your worse pain post surgical only achy or did it feel sharp? Curious. How are you today? God bless you and thank you for all this wonderful information!
I'm going on 5 days out of surgery and it feels like I have a softball lodged underneath my right rib cage. Very painful when I laugh or get the hiccups. Did you experience this?
+Cody Warren I was very sore myself. When I laughed, that was painful. Are you still taking the medicine that the doctor/surgeon gave you? Make sure you're staying ahead of the pain.
Natalie's Life I'm just trying to take the pain meds at night. Yes when I laugh or hiccup there is a sharp pain under my right rib cage and it about kills me.
+Cody Warren Are you eating or ate bland foods? That pain could be there for a while. Once a week hit for me, I started to feel a lot better especially with that pain when I laughed. It started to decrease.
+Cody Warren That's great. And, yes I experienced that. That could be because your body is sore from the surgery, trying to adjust from the trauma, and adjusting without the Gallbladder. I love to laugh, so that was difficult for me. It's like if you have a sore muscle and you keep working that muscle without giving it time to rest and recover. Try to take it easy and try to do minimal laughing until you start to feel the pain has decreased.
I had my surgery a week ago. I'm still in a great deal of pain and I'm not having a lot of bowel movements as of yet. I'm having a lot of cramping and still having snack of appetite. I go tomorrow, December 21,2016 to get my staples taken out. I'm having trouble sleeping, even with my pain medicine. Has anyone else experienced this?
I got my sergery done five days ago. On day five, and I'm not sure but is it possible to lift yourself up from a flat surface like a bed to sit up without having to worry about messing something up? On tablet. I am still recovering. I find I pee often.
+Just when you thought it was over. I wondered that same question after I had my surgery, so I was very careful. But, you won't mess anything up because it's already out. After my surgery what I did was instead of using my stomach muscles to get out of bed or whatever I was lying on, I "crawled" myself out of bed with my hands. You pick either side you're going to put you hands on and then start working your way up until you're all the way up. That really helped me. But if you don't use the "crawling" method I used to get out of a bed/chair no you won't mess anything up. You'll just be more sore. I will be praying for you!
Thank you for documenting your experience. My bff is going into day 6 post op. She had a little bleeding on Monday from the incision at the top. She hasn't gone back to work yet and still hold/covers that top incision when she get up. when she contacted the surgeon they told her she probably just knocked some of the glue off. How soon do you think she will be able to get back to normal activities like dancing, gym, and normalcy? btw her surgery was emergency no planning.so she now has more emotional pain than physical pain bc her life was just interrupted by the unforeseen..but as stated before she is having pain in the top incision. the other 3 including the belly button are just there, no pain at all. any advice or words of encouragement that I may pass along to her is greatly appreciated. btw she has been watching your videos too!!Thank you all.
+1AFROCAL I really appreciate you and your friend watching! Oh my. Yeah, that's what I would think too that she knocked some of the glue off. But if she continues to bleed I would have her make an appointment just to make sure everything is okay. That way the surgeon/doctor can look at the incision. Normal activities will be a while. She can go back to work whenever she feels as if she can work. Dancing though, will be a while. Before my surgery I did Zumba. I haven't done any workout classes/Zumba since and I'm at 5 months post gallbladder surgery. I'm getting ready to take an easy workout class. And, I have done Yoga. But, it's not that I don't feel as if I couldn't do Zumba. I just don't want to push it. I would rather wait longer. For example, if the doctors say you can eat in 2-3 days I would wait 4-5 days. So really whenever your friend feels up to it. I definitely would wait on the dancing for a while. I'm sorry your friend had to go through this! Hopefully she will be feeling better soon. Words of encouragement would be no matter what day it is- good, bad, great, etc stay positive and know this is temporary. Take this time for yourself to heal, get well, and get feeling better. Let people help you. Don't push yourself. Let your body heal on its own. If you are having a crummy/painful day, think of 3 things you're thankful for. That could be a person or an animal or anything, just something you're thankful for. A tip for when you sleep: get a nice, fluffy pillow and put it on your stomach. That really helped me. Let me know if shoulder pain comes about as well. That's normal if you have shoulder pain, but I have tips to help with that as well. Try to walk a little distance every 30 minutes to an hour. That could be walking to the kitchen, walking to the restroom, etc. Even though it is very painful, you need to walk every once in a while. Because, if you don't that could cause a whole set of other problems that we don't want! Drink lots and lots of water and don't go too long without eating. If you are still taking pain pills for your pain, make sure you eat enough food with them. I experienced what happens when you don't eat enough food with them and it's not pleasant. So, definitely make sure you eat enough with your medicine. I hope this helps. I will be praying for your friend. Let me know if you or your friend has any other questions.(:
Natalie's Life :-) Hello, Thank you for responding with such purely refreshing words of encouragement...She went to her post op appt yesterday after a week out...her top incision was still bleeding a lil but Thank the Lord it wasn't infected...The doctor told her to keep the bandages on her top incision until tomorrow...when she asked him about working out her core....He told her no restrictions...if one of the incisions split open to pack it with gauze and get to him asap....neither one of us thought to ask him when is splitting one of the incisions not an option...she danced just a little last night for a few minutes, didn't even break a sweat and didn't complain...she is concerned about sweating bc she does sweat a lot when she workout..she doesn't want the sweat to infect her incisions..I'm telling her she will be fine...her spirit was really lifted after leaving the appt yesterday...Thank you again... God Bless you and I pray you are very well 😊
+1AFROCAL You're welcome, I'm glad I could help! Oh great! I'm really thankful it wasn't infected. That's great news! And if the doctor told her no restrictions then I would think working out is okay. As long as she doesn't have any pain or discomfort. You are very welcome. God bless you both as well, and thank you!
I’m 7 days post op. And nauseated everyday I wake up. Some days I have headache. The pain is at a minimum and I’m walking a bit better. I still get exhausted half way through the day. I have staples that will be coming out in 3 days. Yay.
hi i just had my surgery 09/01/16 my qu5is I've never had no symptoms until i got this horrible pain and ended up in the ER still in recovery with some pain the only thing i notice is that i can't eat what your eating i get the runs sooooo bad 😔 something that didn't get before surgery?
+rosa barrera Oh no I'm sorry you had to go through that. That is probably still from your body getting used to the trauma from surgery and realizing you don't have a gallbladder anymore. Where was your pain when you went into the ER? Stomach-Upper right quadrant, lower right, lower left, upper left, or all over? And, how did they come to the conclusion you needed surgery to remove your gallbladder? Did they do a test in the ER and found gallstones or?
I think I’m weird. I’m 3 days post op with no pain. Actually my incisions are itching. I am tolerating food well and sleeping good. I’m just not doing any lifting and haven’t gone outside. I’ve taken maybe 2 Tylenol since I’ve been home.
I am 59 years old I had 3 kids naturally and this was my first surgery ever my surgery Tuesday 12 /5/2017 it is now Friday 3 day later I have 4 incisions, I can walk but it hurts like hell and to get up and down it takes my breath away and to cough that's a killer . I have not gone to poop yet since my surgery I am afraid to, so I took some Castrol oil I hope it help. Some people have no problem with this surgery and others go through hell.
That's very true. Some people don't have any problems or if they do, very little. And, some people have a more difficult time. I hope you get feeling better! If you get concerned about not being able to pass a bowel movement, I would contact your surgeon/doctor and see what they suggest. I will be praying for you!
I was supposed to get mine removed but I didn't do it I'm so nervous I've been nauseous and had acid so I'm thinking about it since i haven't really felt top good I do have children and my youngest is 11 months so I just don't know if I'll be able to do everything I normally do
Hi Natalie. Thanks for the information provided in your video. I’m seeing my surgeon this Monday (0/09/22018) to schedule my Cholecystectomy. I’ve been told that due to other internal complications, I will have to do an open type process (open incision vs laparoscopic type surgery). Needless to say, I’m quite stressed out. Please say a prayer for me.
Hi Natali maam... I had my gall bladder surgery 3 years before...But sometimes in everyday I feel like pain a little bit in my upper right abdomen ....Do you feel like this??? Till now I feel a litlle bit uncomfort after eating and bloating and gas always occur..I always afraid of that if the stone will reappear in my common bile duct again...Can u plz share u r experience to me ?
One day post op. I was walking around day of surgery about 5 hours post op. Took vitamin C, magnesium and probiotic. Drinking alkiline water ( 1/8 tsp of baking soda with 1cup water) for the CO2 gas, which was causing alot of pain. Waking helped alot. Before sugery Omg the pain. I lost weight too. I had awful headaches and the sharpest pain. I am also type 2 diabetic. Sleeping was tricky!! Surgery was worth it!! I didnt realize how crappy i felt, till that sucker was out!
Oh wow! I hope you continue to feel better! I felt that way too-- I didn't understand how bad I really felt until I got my Gallbladder removed and how I felt so much better afterwards! I will be praying for you and your recovery!
Hi I didn't see any 6th day video. I am on my fifth day after surgery and still sore and back pain. Hopefully no 6th day video means that you felt better. Wish you all the best.
+Christine Gretch I hope that you start feeling better after your surgery! Before my surgery, I was a little nervous too. But what helped me was when I started to feel nervous, I prayed for my surgeon, my doctors, and everybody involved in my surgery. It gave me peace to know that God helped me every step of the way.
I'm on day 3 after surgery - just sore a bit but not in pain. I am able to get up on my own much easier already...and have been wandering around the garden thinking of things I want to do when I'm able. I'm going to stop my oxy pain meds since they make my brain feel fuzzy and they're generally not good for you. I have 5 incisions though, wonder what the extra one was. I've had a lot of mean comments though when telling people I was having this done, they'd all say "well you must have been eating a ton of junk food" or "you must be a heavy drinker" which neither are true. I've been taking Gas X as it was a tip from someone who has had this done to help expel extra gas in the system.
I’ve been going to the doctor because of my gallbladder. I am in a lot of pain and can’t eat anything without upsetting my stomach. But I’ve heard there are supplements you can take instead of getting the surgery. Idk I’m nervous but I am definitely tired of feeling sick.
I’m sorry you’re in so much pain! I definitely understand what kind of pain you’re talking about. I actually haven’t heard of that before. That was the turning point for me: I dealt with the issue for a while and I was just getting more and more sick. I was tired of feeling sick. Getting your gallbladder removed is definitely something to think and pray about. You could always talk to your doctor and get more information either way: if you get your gallbladder removed or not.
I just gt my gallbladder out five days ago it hurts especially in bed I can’t get comfortable n barely eating anything this is very frustrating I still have acid reflux ugh
hi natalie..thnks for posting ure videos. can i ask you a question? before ure surgery in gallbladder did u have a symptoms that u always bloated after u eat. because mine i always feel that. and today i will go to see my doctors.because i have so much pain also in my lower rib.sorry for my english.thnks
I am supposed to get the results to see if I need to have gallbladder surgery. I hope I do in a way because I have really bad stomach aches. Anyway I send you prayers for now and the future!
I'm on my third day after surgery and still in quite a bit off pain but pain killers help .. having to sleep upright still at moment with plenty off pillows and had a drain put in after surgery which wow when taken out wasn't pleasant at all
+anne betteridge I'm sorry you're in so much discomfort! Just remember it will get better. The first few days are painful, but every day you will start to feel better than you did the day before. I will be praying for you!
+Kristin Griffin Every day is a new day and the pain will get less and less. The first few days are painful, but after that you'll start feeling a lot better. Hang in there and take it easy. I'm praying for you!
3rd day after removal today. Still feels hard to breathe, can’t take a deep breath and the heart rate speeds up fast if I walk. It’s also a challenge I sleep in one position, because every movement hurts😕 Slight fever. But in general, I think it gets better.
I feel you girl! I am 5 days post-op and still not allowed to leave the bloody hospital because of the fever. It’s not even that bad 100F at most, but I am not a doctor. The ones here are either obsessed or scarily dedicated but I am working through this. You will too! Believe me the pain will get better. Take help from someone and walk for 5 mins every other hour. This will help remove the gas and soothe the rib ache. We have been through the worst so it can only get better!❤️
It can be really painful at first, but for me it did get better! I was very sore. If you have any concerns especially with the fever, I would call your surgeon/ doctor.
+Lesley Copplestone I'm sorry! You'll feel better soon. Just take it easy. That's okay. If you haven't taken a bowel movement by tomorrow, I would take some medicine to get things "moving." Excessive itching? Hmmm. I never had that, but maybe you're allergic to the glue? Do you have glue for your incisions or something different?
I'm like day 4 or 5 post op.I have been able to eat without severe back pain and severe gerd.Im so happy 😁 but Iam super sore still! Just curios what did you take for your acid? I was doing really good but last night I tried some gravy on my steamed chicken and vegetables and it gave me some heartburn.
That’s great! & What I did was explain my symptoms to my local pharmacist and see what they thought I should take. I hope you continue to feel better. I will be praying for you!
I'm on day five post gallbladder surgery, so I'm glad for your day five update. My wounds look about the same as yours. I'm also still in a good bit of inward pain, and sleeping is a challenge. Until last night I was on my back since surgery. Looking forward to getting back to normal, but it's not something that can be rushed with surgery like this. Rest and heal. That's the recipe. 😊
In my experience, I was definitely sore for a while. Take it easy and rest. Your body needs time to recover. Yay, I’m so happy for you! Continue to feel better and I’ll be praying for you as well as your recovery.
+Esmeralda Ledezma I hope it goes great! I was scared too before I had my surgery, but honestly to me it really wasn't scary. And, you're welcome! I'm glad I could help. I will be praying for you.(:
Esmeralda Ledezma I am 4 days post op. Everyone's body is different. I am still sore, but no longer taking the Percocet & not even Tylenol anymore. I learned from my hysterectomy not to stay on them too long because the pills keep you constipated. I took a stool softener the evening I was discharged. I am definitely not eating alot because I feel full very quickly. I am taking NOW Super Enzymes with any food considered high fat. Good luck 🙏🏽
I am on day 6 post surgery. Post surgery hasn't been very fun with Day 3 post surgery being the worse! I had a coffee for breakfast and it was a huge mistake! the diarrhea and pain was horrendous. I am finding chicken and fish with steamed vegies is the only thing that doesn't upset my tummy. So food is not enjoyable at all. I have lost 5.4kg in a week due to lack of food I am able too eat. it's a good thing though as I weighed 93.2kg at the hospital...biggest I've ever been. hoping things improve for me🙁
+Liam and Hayley gamz Oh my I'm sorry to hear that you're having a rough time! Try to stay around foods that are bland. That should help your stomach. I will be praying for you!
I just got my gallbladder removed, on my fifth day. They told me when the discharged to eat low fat and I see your eating just fine. You don't feel anything when you eat fats ?
+Kelsey XO I would eat what they recommended for you to eat. But, nope I don't feel any discomfort, pain, or the feeling as if I need to use the restroom at all when I eat any food. I will be praying for you and your recovery!
I am getting my gallbladder out this Thursday for surgery 25 precent of my gallbladder is not working right my doctor told me what are the side effects after gallbladder surgery? What's the recovery time? I been getting a lot of pain in my stomach and my sides and lower back I notice I been getting the sweats and chills sometimes been running to the bathroom a lot I haveint been feeling to well the last year when I was working a few times I got really dizzy and faint in the bathroom
Hi I know you made this video a while ago but hopefully you see this. I was wondering I just had my surgery Tuesday and I have really bad pain on my shoulders like on the bones. My collarbone. I was wondering if that’s normal? I don’t know if I should be going to the ER or if I just need to give this time
For me, I had shoulder pain because of the gas they filled my stomach up with during surgery so they could see everything. After, I think it was 3-5 days, the shoulder pain went away. But if you're concerned, you can call your surgeon/ doctor and see what they say.
Had my surgery on Friday went to work on Saturday, I'm still wearing my bandages for another day. I'm bloated a little sore but not too much pain. I have been reading so many things about the body rejecting certain foods is that true? How long before exercising can resume? I'm not sure what to expect, I see my doctor n a few weeks. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks for ur vid.
+Sharon Schubert In regards to your question about the body rejecting certain foods, my doctor suggested for me to stay away from spicy and greasy foods. It really depends on your body and the healing process of when you can exercise. You're welcome. I appreciate you watching!
Natalie's Life. Thank you for responding. I'm doing great! Can't believe that I went through all of this just a week ago. I'm not on any pain killers, returned to power walking on Monday and feeling fine. Prior to this I trained daily, I know it will take a while before I get back in the gym. Everyone's body reacts differently I guess. I hope ur doing great girl! and taking care of yourself. Thanks again.
+Mary Light Don't be nervous! I was nervous as well, but it was actually not nerve wracking. It was actually relaxing. To relax yourself tell yourself that it will be okay and that you will feel so much better afterwards. Don't think it, speak it. Breathe in through your nose and out through your nose. Tell yourself and know that you are in great hands. This surgery is one of the most common surgeries people have every single day. Pray to God for peace. After you do that let it go and think about something else for a while. Think about the weather or maybe some goals- something uplifting/positive. Or if you like to read- read. If you start to think about the surgery, tell yourself I am done thinking about that. I feel confident in the doctors/surgeon, etc, and am thinking about something uplifting now. Sometimes if you tell yourself you are thinking about something else, it helps shift you to actually think about something else. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth and think of letting that worry/anxiety go. Think that you are blowing the anxiety and worry right out of you. I hope this helps! I will be praying for you!
i cant emphasize the pain from the bloating enough. knocked the wind out of me i couldnt breath my chest and back hurt to a level 10. on day 5 and can breath a bit better.
@ proudmomma, how are you doing now? I had mine taken out Friday and to me the gas pains felt like the literaly rolled from my stomach up to my chest and neck and head as I moved. I had nausea and vomiting bad the first 2 days and after that passed so did gas pains. I was thinking the worst pain would be my incisions but surprisingly it was the gas in random body cavities and the nausea.
I just had my surgery on the 26th of September, so far I've been feeling faint everyday since. But I mean everything else is great. I thank God I was able to get the surgery though, I can handle eating a bit more than I use to. I am still sore after these few days, and I finally started bruising. 😬😌
+dani Sevi Are you eating enough? In my experience, after I had my surgery if I didn't eat enough with my pain medicine, I would get extremely light headed and almost pass out. That happened only if I didn't eat enough with my pain medicine though. I was sore for a while and stayed bruised for a while. I'm so glad you're recovering well! Take it easy and I will be praying for you!

Hi! I'm having gallbladder removal surgery in 3 weeks! I am so nervous and I'm not gonna lie...I wanna cancel it lol. But I've been having gallbladder attacks for almost three years. I just wanna be done with that unbearable pain from the attacks.
+Vanessa Martinez Before I had my surgery, I was really nervous as well. That was really, my first major surgery. Wow I'm sorry to hear you've had those Gallbladder attacks for so long. I can't imagine the pain/discomfort you're in. I will be praying for you, your surgery, and your recovery!
my was not my gallbladder I have a fat liver and a inlager speell I got to go to the doctor today so please pray for me I really love watching you and thank you for all your help please committed back
I'm doing really well, thank you! It just depends how your body handles the surgery. If you have any concerns, call your doctor/ surgeon. Hope you get feeling better!
I had a gallbladder attack about 2 and a half weeks ago. I had gallstones. I went through surgery to have it removed 4 days ago. I honestly feel great today. very little pain now just a little sore now. I never really had that shoulder pain, just a little bloating and constipation. yesterday was the 4th of July and I was on my feet for a few hours and even got into a water balloon fight. I know everyone heels at their own pace but just wanted to post my experience for those looking for information like I was. Epsom Salt soak really helps as well. I never got stitches just the glue, which is already starting to come off. A little worried about that though.
Oh no! I am sorry to hear that. Good thing you got it removed. You will feel SO much better as well as I am. I feel like a new person in a positive way. Yes, the soreness is what got me as well. That's great! I have glue as well as dissolvable stitches. You don't want to pick at the glue unless your surgeon gives you the okay if you want it off. I'm letting mine come off on its own. For your follow up appointment with your surgeon, mention that to him/her. It shouldn't be anything to worry about, but it never hurts to ask. I appreciate you posting your experience. I will be making a full video soon of my Gallbladder Experience: Before and After.
+Natalie's Life yeah I think it is just peeling off cause I let it get too wet yesterday. I'll be letting him know though. I do feel much better but just today I'm getting sharp pain in my right shoulder blade. Also I forgot to mention before that the day after surgery I ended up with a red itchy rash under my boobs lol sorry if tmi. It's going away now though. That's good you plan to make another video on it. I was scared of getting the surgery and wanted to see how others had handled it and came across your videos. It's helped me a lot.
Yes maybe. Okay good. And, that's great you're feeling a lot better. Is it kind of an "ache" feeling? That pain is there because of what they filled us up, so the surgeon could see everything clearly to do the surgery. Every day that pain will get better, but for me that was one of the most painful parts. It was difficult to sleep as well. But, don't worry it will get better. These next few days may be a little rough though, so make sure you take it easy. A red rash? Hmm. Maybe allergic reaction? I would also mention that to your surgeon. No you're fine! Sometimes you need to ask those tmi questions. Haha. Yes, I am really excited about making my full Gallbladder Surgery video. I wanted to do until day 7, but I was having technical difficulties. So, I couldn't. Awe! I was so ready to have the surgery. It was coming down to anything, literally anything I would eat I would get the ache in my upper right area, feel sick, and get sick. It was miserable. So, needless to say I was so ready! Haha. I'm so my videos have helped you! My full Gallbladder Story video will be sometime at the end of July. If you want, you could subscribe and then when I post it you would know?(:
I got mine removed on 2 mar, I am home now but unable to sleep coz feel stretched when I want to sleep one side, not able to walk properly also. I am little scared
Day 5 still on liquid diet. I also ate a piece of pizza to go BM on third day. But then 4 day I got so sick I couldn't keep any pain meds in went to ER. They said CT scan looked good. But I have a follow-up tomorrow. I just want to feel better. Still alot of pain.
Natalie's Life so so much better !!!! I had a stuck gallstone. And once I was in hospital for couple days and home I healed up really easy and nicely ! Now I can't even tell. I can't do alot of fast food greasy things but I learn what I can and can't tolerate to eat. Just depends on the person I think! I hope you're doing better ! I got my gallbladder removed. (Btw). But feel loads better. Ha should have said that at the beginning!
I’m having surgery in 20 days. Really can’t wait to stop having these attacks (pains so unbearable sends me to the hospital too often....just last night I had to be rushed there....🙄 geez oh gosh too much pains . Looking at your vids is just preparing me as to what to expect and hope for....I was a bit nervous but with prayer I know God has this under control. Positivity all the way 🙏🏽
I would be going to have my gallbladder removed soon got to go in the hospital tomorrow. Can you tell me if they insert catheter for you to pass urine and tube in your nose please? I'm a bit scared
1 week post op and I’m doing well! The incisions are healing nicely and I’m able to move around great. The only thing is it feels like my liver is so sore still and I occasionally get the sharp pain going into the chest, same as I did when I got an attack. I guess it’s part of the healing process
What helped me was putting a pillow over my incision area (I sleep on my side usually.) That gave my incisions extra comfort. Then if I would accidentally role completely over- I wouldn’t role right on my inactions because my pillow was there.
+Mvri.e M That would be up to your body really. If you start to have pain or discomfort, then you know working out isn't the best for your body right now.
