The fact that her experiences in Lady of the Lake are so distressing that she basically says, "I don't care which version of the Doctor he is; I just need my husband right now, even if he doesn't know I'm his wife." So heartbreaking.

Man I love the idea of River having something so traumatic happen to her she goes "fuck the timelines I need a Doctor" and calls one up to have adventures with.
