One thing I will say rewatching this series again....very telling that during cut downs Hogan was out on the practice field trying to get better, while Marlon Moore was in the locker room eating a McDonald's cheeseburger. There's just some things that go beyond X's and O's & credit New England for not only identifying but developing him & his talent. It's one of the many reasons why they're the best

I think the irony is that 10 years later the team is 0-7, and then Flores turns it around, and leads the team to a winning season, YET, the owner was trying to tank only a couple season ago and fired Flores. Yes, Philbin was a terrible HC, but a mere reflection of ownership at the top.

The inability to recognize, keep, & foster young talent. Reminds me of when the Jets cut Danny Woodhead the previous year. That 2012 team was already doomed the moments they passed up Luke Kuechly and Russell Wilson for Ryan Tannehill & Jonathan Martin, but they had a young, talented, & inexpensive WR on a team that BADLY needed one at the time, and they f'n let him go. 🤦‍♂️

Tannehill is viewed like the 2nd coming of Jesus even right now.Martin was a solid prospect but he is was too weak minded for the NFL. Russell Wilson is not even 6 feet tall so every team passed on him twice and some 3 times.Wilson was literally the shortest starting QB in the NFL.As a GM to draft a guy that short you have to question if he can see passing lanes because he cant see over the OL. Chris Hogan is like a #3 wr it is not the end of the world to cut a guy like that.

@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants LMAO good one. Anyone who thinks that, wasn't paying attention. Derrick Henry was the reason for Tennessee's success, not Tannehill. It's just for the first time, he wasn't asked to carry the team & he didn't do anything to hurt them. Ok, so the Russell Wilson pick im giving them a slight pass on, but only because Seattle took him not knowing he was going to be a star, & got lucky. However someone in their personnel department knew, & they were smart enough to take him. If you have good enough scouts, no way a guy like that should slip away. Also Tannehill was FAR from a sure thing moving from WR the year before. They simply forced the pick... Kuechly was the smarter choice/ surer thing. As for Hogan, at the time the Dolphins were AWFUL at WR. They're best WR was Brian Hartline. They absolutely needed Hogan. Half that team should have been cut before him, but didn't because of draft status. Again it comes down to being able to evaluate talent and making the correct personnel decisions. They dropped the ball (no pun intended)

2012 Miami Dolphins went on to becoming second in their division and finishing the season 7-9. Which in all fairness isn't bad or great obviously. But considering how the players looked in training camp I think it's fair to say they did well for what they had. Me personally 2012 was amazing year for me cause I'm a Ravens fan lol and with Ray Lewis last ride was one hell of a year for my team. But when it comes to football with me I'm not like how some people can be. Where it's ride or die just for your team and who cares about any other team. I'm not like that at all and don't get me wrong I'm a die hard Raven's fan and always have been and will be. But I love football just in general. I respect each organization for what they're worth and for how they develop players an just the overall Culture of each organization. I have respect for all 32 teams and why I love football and the sport overall. The Dolphins 🐬 are a good organization and have nothing but love for them. Hope whomever reads this has an amazing day and hopefully we have a season this year.

I know Ocho made a bad decision, but I can really appreciate his maturity in his approach to try and fix the issues.

I think the O line coach kinda encouraged that bullying stuff that incognito and others were doing to Martin. Is he also the same one that got fired for doing coke off a strippers ass? 😂

What an epic fail this guy was as HC. Dan Campbell was the guy and is an amazing HC for the LIONS

You can see the way he is with the players in his office what a terrible & mundane coach he was. Hard to play hard for a guy like that

Your a special guy and you got a lot of talent. Just not enough to play for the worst team in the league the Miami dolphins. Keep getting better and we’d like to sign you on our practice squad. I would say I’m in to the first team that calls.

All these fans in the comments are hilarious. Vince Lombardi himself could have coached this 'team'and they still wouldn't have made playoffs. The players were terrible. Whatever makes you feel better though

But it is the effort. Is this team going to play with fire and competitiveness? Or is this team just going through the motions? This team went through the motions and played listless under Philbin. Philbin excited no one.

Quote Ya gotta bet better, ya gotta improve. So says stick boy sitting on the chair he told the huge player to vacate. Based on the episodes I've seen in this series, coach tries to come across as a friggin' genius even though he clearly is not. Show some humility and you will gain respect. It is as simple as that.
