I don't like where this video took me mentally.

I feel the need to reassure younger and/or more impressionable viewers that the story presented in this channel's videos isn't real. This is a horror series disguised as a Sonic retrospective. I recommend anyone brought here by the algorithm to watch the videos from oldest to newest. I had half a mind to post all my observations per video in the comments, but the subtext is actually pretty obvious for a RU-vid horror, so just see for yourself. This shit is great.

If you're confused like I was, let me explain. this story is undoubtedly fake, and the person who made it definitely has some good talent. these videos follow someone explaining sonic games while slipping into tangents about bad childhood memories, each one getting worse and worse. It seems that this character's horrible upbringing led to them slowly becoming a twisted person themselves, blurring the line between the sonic games they played as I means to escape, and the world around them. this idea to tell a twisted and depressing story thorugh the lense of a RU-vid channel about sega is a pretty interesting concept. It Sadly isn't perfect, much like the sonic series itself, so at times it can feel more cringe then interesting. if you want to experience this story in the intended way, watch the videos from oldest to newest. this was a really interesting series and I'm glad I stumbled across it. And finally, if you legitimately have mental issues please seek professional help and realize that you are worthy of love.

In my last comment I stated I wouldn't post my observations, but I have to get them out of my system, so I'm doing it anyway. For anyone who actually gives a shit, I've already done so for all the other videos. Having said this: 2:40 He implicitly admits to his stalker tendencies here. The way he describes it as a "superpower" he used all the time, ostensibly for evil purposes, suggests that even beyond the stories he's told us, he has probably done all kinds of horrific things to people he has met over the course of his life that he felt slighted by. 2:57 The encounter with his father is when Sega Mega's tendency to deliver "poetic justice" is clearly shown, as this line implies. 3:59 He doesn't think very highly of the Sonic series past SA2, by the looks of it. 4:27 Sega Mega appears to have resigned himself to the fact that, despite his RU-vid channel perhaps being some kind of coping mechanism, he will never truly be able to live a normal life in the wake of everything he's endured and committed. His life is nothing but a big joke to him anymore. Very eerie foreshadowing to the ending, as well as what's about to happen next. 5:44 The aforementioned might also be why he can still talk so light-heartedly about what happened to Noah, and him talking about "shitting himself in excitement" may also simultaneously be one last jab at Chester. 7:57 You can hear him stammer a bit, and that he was about to say "Omega" instead of "Gamma." It might be a goof on the voice actor's part, but maybe it also means he's not all that attached to Modern-era Sonic characters. 14:07 The video interestingly takes a complete detour from the main game to the Chao Garden. Finding out about it clearly affected him deeply. 14:39 He says "naturing" environment when he means "nurturing." This clearly refers to the nature vs. nurture theme presented within the Sega Mega series, and the question of what contributed more to the horrible life of Sega Mega and how that affected everyone around him; whether it's because of the eccentricities he was born with, or his upbringing. 15:09 Take note of the Dark Chaos Chao on the left here, whose name is blank. Also note how it's a very strong Chao that effortlessly wins the karate match. 16:10 That same Chao appears here, and I notice how the cocoon keeps popping back into view. This might symbolically refer to Sega Mega's desire to return to an innocent life he knows he can never reach again. Also, when Shadow picks up the Chao, we suddenly see it does have a name; it's Nick. This could be Sega Mega's real name, and if it is, it shows how that might have helped feed into his fantastical view of things; he likes to think of himself as Sonic, after all. Nick, So-nic(k), you get the idea. 18:33 The fact that he wants the channel to continue being supported is interesting, since what he does right afterwards was clearly not intended to be a secret. Perhaps he wanted his story to be more like a cautionary tale. On the exact moment we hear the shot, we're shown the Space Colony ARK being teleported safely into orbit, and the entire world celebrates because the threat has been overcome. All the while, there is no end screen, and the very last still of the video is a saddened Sonic, possibly representing how the events chronicled in this channel, from start to end, were never the intent of Sega.
