I expect him to win, he was unlucky tonight not to win more comfortably. He wired quite few. When your misses are that close you know you are playing well
What a semi finals night, Clayton deserves to win the Matchplay this year, but he has a huge challenge against Aspinall tomorrow. Cullen didn’t perform tonight and Humphries had to many errors tonight but they should be proud for making it this far!
@@fourcandles9413Hope for a good match 🔥🙌 The way Clayton took out Humphries and hung in there where many would've mentally just collapsed i think will boost him really much but yeah not gonna be an easy match but i think 55-45 % in Jonnys favor.
Wow, just wow. That second semi final was just amazing. After seeing the first semi final which was scrappy and Cullen just hit too many trebleless visits early on which meant he got less darts at doubles than Aspinall and then when he did get more chances on the doubles he missed so many. Aspinall just kept plugging away on the scoring and got more chances and took them better. Its not easy i understand coz they were both trying to get into the final of the biggest tournament in darts after the World Championship. That second semi was just brilliant. Humphries played better than he did in the past 2 rounds and was looking really good but my word, Jonny is so good at hitting 140s and hes sublime on the outer ring. The ton+ outs may not have been there but those chances he gets for a pop pop finish he just takes them so well. Even when Humphries broke for 10-7 i just had a feeling that if Jonny stays within a few legs hell get his chance coz his doubles r just astonishing. If he plays like that he will win the tournament. Nathan is a fighter and will give everything he has and i feel bad for him coz he lost a few major finals last year and he wants to win badly but if Jonny plays like this and finishes the way he did the past few matches, i cant see Nathan winning. The pressure moments will affect Nathan more than Jonny. I hope for a great final tomorrow and as much as i try to remain neutral when watching, Jonny is one of my fav players so ill be so happy if he wins and with all the stuff going on at home with his dad, victory tomorrow will taste that much sweeter for the Ferret. Go Jonny boy.
I agree @yusufluhar5881. So why does the first semi-final get 14 minutes of coverage and the second only 7 minutes? It doesn't seem very fair or balanced.
@@julieevans6525 As the largest demographic by far in the UK (the primary market for this video) is the English, it's probably not surprising that they chose to feature the English winner rather than the Welsh one.
Your right about the 2 games being different. Cullen never got of the starting block brought Asp game down by missing so many lipsticks, Jonny Clayton had to stay with luke or he would of got a hidding. he knows how to win but final will be 50/50 and Asp becoming a top player he wins It for me.
@@julieevans6525 fair point, maybe coz there was more faffing on the back end of legs in the first match so when they show it, its gonna take more time in the video.
@@mrbipolarmattyhoward6071 Asp needs to up his game, coz Jonny aint messing around on doubles. Asp will be punished if he messes up. If Jonny plays like he has last 3 matches he wins it.
if i were at the pub and saw somebody throwing like Cullen i'd assume they never played before xD he must have to practice so much and get such a feel to throw from over his shoulder without sighting his release.
I felt as though Luke needed that to really kick on in his career. I’ve mentioned before that, despite being Cool Hand, it felt like an ironic nickname for me because he seems to lose the big moments and it shows in his lack of major tournament wins. He’s been in 1 big final (UK Open 2021) but lost and the rest are semi finals or worse, but he’s ranked 6th. Feels like players around him in the rankings have won something big and when if/when he finally does I think he could go go to the next step. Maybe a run in the Premier League could get him more used to a constant big stage?
he's number 6 because he wins so much on the euro tour and the floor, the blokes so talented and his big stage win will come, he won't be the next chizzy (who tbh i do think will win a major), Humphries has multiple majors coming his way in the next few years, evens if he is like Smith once he gets one he'll get loads afterwards
He is a young player who will develop even more. I'm sure his time will come to win something big. But right now he can be only happy with reaching semi finals or quarter finals because that's not a bad achievement at all.
@@AlanBrown-j5i cos he’s a good player, don’t win a worlds and a matchplay by being bad, I do think he’ll struggle to get back up there once the ranking money comes off though with how good everyone else is now
So... Nathan against Jonny. Joe just wasn't strong enough against Nathan, and Luke chose the worst times to make crucial errors against Jonny who was finishing so so well tonight. I think Jonny will take the title, but I would love it be Nathan. Wouldn't complain either way though. Two of the most respectful and class players on and off the oche. Good luck to them both. Give us a cracking final lads!
Love both these guys.they’re never the bride 👰♀️ and nearly always the BRIDESMAIDS but tomorrow one of them become masters champion and eventually the bride.I’m glad I’m not marrying any of them😂although £200,000 cash injections tempting 😂hope it’s a great scoring close final.whoever wins it could propel them on to becoming serial WINNERS
How highly rated is this tournament? I mean is it the next big after world championship or what? Anyways sad that Joe didn't deliver :/ he'll be back! Go Rockstar
The Asp is deffo not doing that re grip as much. Got to help with his rhythm. Its just good seeing some different players going deep again. Should be a cracking final🤞🤞🤞
Was thinking exactly that as I watched this. Having watched most of the European Tour events in recent months, Aslinall and Humphreys both look like good each-way bets for the Worlds.
Fantastic pair of semi-finals, been a quality tournament, hopefully be a great final, I like Nathan he's a great player, but as a Welshman I'm rooting for JC
Two gentlemen in the final, luke is not a cold hand. He's a very big talent, but he loses only for his character, when he'll understand his talent, propably, or certainly could become at the same level of smith, price, van gerwen ecc.
can he heckers like..MVG isnt comparable hes still on his own when at his best the others havent got a chance as proved in poland and london just ask gezzy.
@@AlastairBarker lmao. How often does he play at his best? Cant believe there is still MVG fanboys that believe he is miles ahead of everyone when he clearly isnt. hes as liable to have a shit match as anyone else which is proven over recent years.
Only 2 games in the video and the entire first one is ruined by the thumbnail spoilers its just getting worse and worse every round, they are actually going to ruin the result of the final for everyone aren't they???
Complimenti per cullen credo sia stato difficile questa gara per lui dopo aver giocato alla pari fino ad un certo punto dell incontro, un po di fortuna sarebbe stato altro risultato. Superasp
