Well... each and every one of them has been through a LOT of SERIOUS s**t...

Almost all RE characters (at least MCs) are superhuman or borderline superhuman. Chris is almost 50 and fights better than 20 something soldiers. Leon is 40 and can fight toe to toe with Tyrants. And that's a good thing! But I want a new generation of heroes, I don't want Chris and Leon turn into Goku and Vegeta.

Well, Leon had been in more traditional situation compare to Chris. All the games and movies Chris was in usually has some sort of military-type support behind him. But Leon always end up going there with the seat of his pants and end up using whatever he got lying around, making him more focus on what he can use on site rather than what he was packing.

That's only in their first games though, like in RE1 and RE2 where they're still green. In RE3, RE4 and RE5. Jill, Chris and Leon feels like action star level. Except for Claire, she didn't feel like rambo in Code Veronica and Revelation 2.

RE4 remake LEon could parry anything with his knife, Jill RE3 Remake got smacked by Nemesis and never died. Claire RE2 remake did splendid job finished og William Birkin and Mr X even as a rooky along side LEon. Everyone falls down, Leon is holding on. Everyone falls down again, Leon still manages to hold on. If the floor was Lava, you know who would be the only survivor. 😂

Chris, Jill, Claire, Rebecca all are used to working in teams or in pairs. They are also often equipped with military grade weapons & equipment(Chris & Jill specifically).Leon on the other hand is almost always solo. So no wonder he is used to utilising everything around him to save others & survive. Like he has always been shown to do so whether in games or in previous movies. So there is no doubt that his survival skills and self sufficiency are superior than others. This concept is neither new nor an exaggeration but rather sticking to your own cannon facts. Not to mention if you wanna go meta on this. Then Leon has always been “The Protagonist” of the resident evil movies. It shouldn’t come as a surprise if he’s shown to be better than others(specially when supported by previous cannon appearances) , because he is afterall ‘the protagonist’ of the cannon capcom movies and shows(counting infinite darkness).

They are doing everything to please the fans. Capcom cannot accept the idea that one of its heroes is stronger than the rest (Chris) and made him equal to Leon, just like They did with Vergil and Dante, It has nothing to do with solo or not. If we come to this point, Chris was solo in Re CV, Re1, Re7 DLC... and Leon was getting assistance. Chris was supposed to be alone in the movie Re Vendetta, but the director, who admitted that he loved Leon, made Something to introduce Leon is the story that Arias uses enemies similar to those in Re4, and in Ri DI they brought him in under the pretext that he was the one who killed Maria's father, which is a lie. She also former Army Military, she also passed the Delta Force training regiment, even though she’s not part of the Delta Force, due to military didn’t hire women specops back in a day.

I will say that we did get a resident evil 4 player campaign which was resident evil operation raccoon city. Idk if they might do that in the future, but I really liked the 2 player only campaign like in re5 and 6 and they did solo after that so in the future when they do a re5 remake hopefully they do it really good with the remake of the story.

There was Resident Evil: Racoon City where you played umbrella agents up to 4 player co-op. It was pretty fun.
