A wonderfully illustrated and aptly composed film. It is indeed the stereotypism primarily caused by inclusion of religion in politics,that ferments such a belief. We should learn the principle of religious exclusion from Marxism and other communist philosophies. The more you base civic rights on religion, the more you victimize the people for such atrocities. Religion is personal and it ought to be personal. In public life, all are one and all are equal.

Being a part of this short film, i already knew the script and was aware about the whole story. During the shooting times, i always used to ask Taranveer to show me the progress of the movie. Actually i wanted to watch the movie prepared till that time (obviously taran knew that :p) but i was humiliated (not literally) and asked to work seriously. I had no idea about the actual final outcome. I was always curious, excited and obviously a bit nervous. Had full faith in Taran. But i could not say anything until i personally saw the movie. I remember, I visited Taran, saw the movie and was surprised to see it. I mean, literally i was surprised. I knew Taran's level of direction but honestly this time it was more than my expectation. I dont say it was perfect, but people got the message we wanted to convey and that's all what matters to us. Taran, bro you've beautifully connected the whole story with no stretches in between and very perfectly and smoothly made connections with flashback and a flashback in flashback. Generally, when we watch such videos, either they go boring or run out of material. But every second of this piece of work is awesome shit. Every scene teaches us something. I've received plenty of personal messages, mails, fb inbox and even phone calls to appreciate the work and even taking an initiative towards such a common and yet not noticed topic. All the best bro for more such work. And its always fun working with you. And thanks for bearing with me. And hereby i thank you for the reshoot( as you already said:p) All the best bro. :)
ok generally, i'm on the other side of such long (and grammatically correct) messages. Despite this sweet msg, I must say you made it really frustrating because of obvious reasons... now why i put up with everything was obviously because of your acting but moreover, the fact that there are very less people who felt for this topic, who had arguments with their friends to defend a religion they didn't belong to. it's one thing to watch a good film, be inspired, share it, call the team, appreciate them... but it's another thing to be inspired for the topic for two months and despite the cancellations, delays, reshoots... you *wanted* to contribute to the cause and that's something i could've never overlooked. it's very difficult GETTING you to shoot, but once i do that, it's very easy afterwards... managing you was a nightmare, but that doesn't change the fact that directing you was a pleasure. Though you feel you didn't give your 100%, i loved your act and for me, one of the best moments was the look you had on your face right after the godhra sequence. and even if it's not ur best, it's a good thing because there should always be more room for improvement so you don't get complacent. In hindsight, had you not screwed up the first shoot, we wouldn't have shot many meaningful shots... so, like i always say, you love the muscle pulls the second u cross the finish line :)

Beautifully portrayed. As a Muslim, I have many Sikh friends in college (they're my favorite people!); and before befriending them.. I had no idea that Sikhs and Muslims had conflicts in the past.. call this ignorance; but it was mainly cause I never focused on history. When they told me about the struggles that occurred due to Muslims my heart went out to their people; but not because of the struggles they faced in the past but because they accepted me with open arms. To the point where I was respected at Gurudwara I went to because I wanted to see the religion in a closer point. This video- portrays how religion is a difference of beliefs. but humanity and mortality should have no difference each humans heart. Although are beliefs are different... each religion has one same message.. to treat people with respect and cause no harm to others. Mashallah. May Allah grant you all success. Very true. People need to understand, every human being is same. Those who are trying to brand terrorism to certain religion need to change their thinking and adopt universal thinking. Politics is being played on religions and their emotions. People should not fall prey to these kind of politics. Hope we all can live in harmony with mutual trust. Well done Mr.Taranveer Singh.
great work and nice movie..i am from Afghanistan brother every day here are blasts,fightings and all innocent people are dieing...these are not religions telling us to fight or kill but people ,these are people who is doing this all and there are difference between them ,,some are good like u and some are stupid,,,as a muslim my god (Allah) my messenger prophet Muhammad (s) and my book Quran is not telling us to go and kill innocent people if thy are muslims or non muslims, My god (Allah) is saying in Quran ( who ever kill innocent human it is like he killed all humanity) but these are some stupid people who are thinking wrong and using name of islam or other religion...once again thanks alot and work more for it great movie :)

Do you think religion can define who is good or who is bad? I think every religions aim is to make a good person, yet in every religion we can see some bad person & we think they represent the whole religious community, though they themselves cannot be a follower of any religion as they are not good person.
Hi taranveer! I liked your photographs in the exhibition, i told you that day also(i cant say if you remember this or not :p ) and i liked this film too. It's very good. Nothing is perfect,but yes, the message is conveyed easily. I quite liked the direction. Aseem did a very good job. Your work reflects your thought process. You guys work in a lot of constaints. Despite that you produced such a nice film. Good work Taran. Waiting for you to make some more meaningful films like this :)

My thoughts go back to Oct 1984 when innocent Sikhs were mercilessly murdered by mobs filled with empty hatred in Delhi. . Till today no justice. So much of hatred..
Dave Sandhu it indeed still makes everyone's flesh crawl :/ so much of unprovoked violence. n the justification was more of salt to injury "when a tree falls, the earth around it shakes" that's just sad. like it says, this video is dedicated to every such person who had to lose his life in any such act, and immense respect for everyone who saved a life in such times. be it Godhra, 84, partition or any riot/genocide. I hope that the ones who were involved in 1984, die a dog's death,I pray that the ones who saved us, shall be blessed manifold, and I hope that we learn to differentiate between them
