@@easternkite4988 Hell, before the idiots on reddit or youtubers/steamers say anything, I could less about an ass looking exotic class item, that's not why I dont think this dlc is good, here is why..... The new patrol areas is boring and bland, and feels empty Pathfinder, works for planets (well, one, pale heart) yet does not work for Ritual playlists Prismatic feels weak and to much of a gimmick The new 12 player activity Bungie patted themselves on the back for gets old fast and is barely worth doing once a week for the pinnacle drop due to how much of a buggy mess it is And that's just a few issues I have.

Yeah, they've deleted a shitload of content that I have paid for and its the games biggest issue. I associate it with resentment and theft. I've come back for final shape but theres constant reminders of stuff I bought but never got because they decided to delete it.

how come is it gone? people have been commenting there is no more vaulting? do you mean seasonal content?

@@soldierplays4616 I'm at power cap in TFS, nice try though. The seasonal stories from the last year that contained a lot of character development (which Preach mentioned wanting to explore in this video) literally just got ripped out of the game, that is clearly what I'm talking about.

​@wiziek yes, seasonal content is still removed yearly unfortunately. Lots of story development for lightfall happened in the seasons.

@@wiziek It gets removed because the game legit cannot handle a certain amount of content and wasnt built for it. Originally Destiny 2 was built in mind to be ditched in a couple years and for Destiny 3 to come out, because Activision wanted it to be a yearly release at some point like CoD. So it was never planned to be alive this long. To remedy this, Bungie removes the seasonal content to make space for the next, while they actively labor away at trying to make more and more space. Unironically Destiny 3 should happen by now purely to remedy that situation.

Not really, you have the option of skipping it now. It's always been not great and one of the biggest barrier to entries. If you get on board and really learn it it's well worth it

Why so salty? The entire destiny community has been shitting on destiny 2 nonstop for the last 2 years at least. To the point that even us, non destiny players have noticed lol

Yeah, it wasn't preach that made the game turn around - even players who love the game and actively play it (Aztecross, Wallah, Datto etc) have been railing on it and with the previous expansion being lackluster, it really made all the pain points come to the surface. Bungie heard, they listened, delayed the expansion and really took the time necessary to fix it.

Pretty sure Bungie had the same idea before Endwalker. They were already working on their story before then. No what happened was the Bungie execs held the devs back from letting them cook for a few years a misguided attempt to prevent burnout and then got greedy deciding to break up Final Shape into 2 expansions (Lightfall and Final Shape were originally planned to be one expansion).

one or two? that's a lot, last time i remember it was reskinned mobs and factions until now, with ONE faction being added after all these years

@@terrible1fi then you have probably not played destiny. It is legit the most common enemy, yes they do not look like the traditional fantasy goblins, but the lowest most common Vex unit is calleda goblin. Idk mby there is a lore reason behind it. You can see them a lot thorought even this video.

They literally added an entirely new faction with like 6 new enemies.

yes because warframe didn't sunset anything, also you can pick up everything when it comes on sale for like 140$. Not like how players at this point spent thousands to get to the same point. Love warframe but it isn't perfect either, it maybe free but in the long run it is going to cost you at some point at least 50-100$ if you been playing since alpha that is.

It doesn't help that it's all over the place. I always wanted to have a reason to jump back into Destiny but the beginning of D2 so utterly destroyed the story and world building that no matter what they wrote or how good it was, I would've never been able to take it seriously because it would take place in the same world where canonically those other things happened.

I'm sure it is but the way the game is monetized alone is enough to keep me from coming back

It's a great story, but it's not fixed in the way that matters. Endless grinds to unlock central prismatic artifacts/class features, poor UI/Menu system, poorly explained quests, everything requiring a video guide to understand where to go and what to do, empty worlds ensuring you're the only one around doing activities, busted catalyst progressions. I have an abundance of spare time, but I don't see how someone who has a job, a life, etc can sit down and enjoy this game. It takes hours upon hours just to unlock prismatic junk then you can finally test out the build you want to see if you even like it. After like 6 hours I've unlocked two extra frags? (Ones requiring the awful cyst missions) Not even the ones I need. Every game now just feels designed to keep you playing only it despite the fact that there are plenty of games out there to enjoy.

@@nuggsy7085 I guess you and I had a different experience going through the grind. For context, I don't have too much time to spare for the grind either. 2-3 hours max a day. As you know, the campaign is straightforward. Nothing much to comment there. As for Post campaign stuff, The instructions to do those quests were pretty clear. I did not look up any guide videos at all to progress through the quests. The objective markers on the map were straight forward for the quests that lead up to the raid. The base Prismatic kit that was given was really potent. I could able to make multiple builds with them alone. Granted Unlock all of the Prismatic stuff did take some time but they are not some mindless grind either, They were locked behind missions with easy puzzle solving mechanics. Its not the boring Strand meditation grind that we had to do in Lightfall. I am actually surprised with the grind comment because this was the least amount of grind we had to do for any expansion so far. Red border weapons are being showered to us. My grind part was complete for weapons and prismatic stuff. All that's left is reaching the pinnacle cap which I admit is still a pain in the ass even after the amount of pinnacle loot was increased. I never felt like I was compelled to keep on playing the expansion. Did all of this while playing Ghost of Tsushima and 2 other indie games.

It has ties in with Sword Logic (Life must constantly Assert it's right to exist) and Bomb Logic (the power of interconnected parts being greater in their sum) and the In-world mythology of the Unveiling (In-world lore book)

@@wiziek when the world first team completed the raid it unlocked a 12 player, matchmade final campaign mission for everyone to end the story. No raid completion required. Additionally, the entire end game zone where the non-mission campaign quests are completed is entirely closed-map. You won’t see anyone else unless you que up or invite people to your fireteam. It’s entirely designed to be soloable.
