so something to expect here, most groups will clear the tier on savage, day 1, possibly within a few hours. i seriously doubt top groups outside of the few that have agreed to this tier will want to stream prog, after years of watch destiny rwf, people love when top streamers don't get it.
Love Xal as a villain, hope she sticks around. Also got whispered at by casting void torrent in legion. Sylvanas sentenced to an eternity of maw dailies - a fate worse than death.
Why is it so hard for people to accept that if they're failing the timer it's most likely because they are not ready for that dungeon level. Run some lower keys, get better gear/knowledge and then go back to the higher keys. People saying they somehow "deserve" to be able to complete higher keys without actually putting any effort into it baffles me. For those that are completely terrified of "timers", sorry, you simply have to accept that particular content is not for you. It's the same principal throughout the game, some stuff is simply above yours AND MINE capabilities .... I don't do rated PvP - I'm crap at it I don't run Mythic Raids - I don't have the patience for it these days I accept the above is true for me and move on with other aspects/content that I can enjoy. On the brighter side, people will have the additional option of doing Delves, either solo or in a group and there are no timers plus they increase in difficulty AND have their own track for the weekly vault!
Hey I just wanna point out gw3 is not confirmed by ArenaNet, please don't spread this as real news. We probably won't hear about a gw3 for a long time if they decide to do it. Also, as others have said, the home instance resource gathering has been a thing since the start of the game so this part is not a new feature.
Best Housing, Best Mounts, Best Fashion, Best Openworld, Best Landscapes, Best combat feeling (for me) and soon a raid wing with NM CM AND Legendary CM ? Cant wait. We are spoiled.
If we had to choose between housing and some other feature for WoW one expansion, I would pick the other feature every single time WoW just isn't that sort of game
I don't know that the gw3 rumor is actually confirmed or true if you read the article it came from, it sounded like during a heated moment it was just thrown out as a "Well we could always do a GW3" as a defense since NC Soft's other IPs were doing so poorly. Who knows. I'm excited regardless, this looks very cool AND they are bring back raids at the same time with multiple difficulty levels including an open world option which will likely give them the participation numbers to justify them going forward. Lots of hype!
This looks pretty awesome. I will say one MMO that was ultimately my favorite for player housing and decorating was Shroud of the Avatar. A dead mmo now but still niche. Delivered to us by the creator of Ultima.
Back in Everquest2 they had housing/guildhall instances for each expansion/continent (islands, forests, jungles, plains, frozen wastes, lava fields, etc.). So I'm expecting different environments to eventually represent many areas of the game. Some of the premium housing plots included villagers/merchants to populate your personal villages.
I'm a bit mad my first thoughts on this was: "looks great, shame it's connected to the rest of the game". I wanted to love this game so much, I want to give it another shot but Dawntrail just ate my attention
I've always thought housing was one of the big MMO things this game was missing. so glad it's finally happening. but as stated in video, wish we get more different environments/homestead to play with. if they wanted, Anet can snap their fingers and give us all the guild halls to make our own personal instances as well if they wanted. just a thought..
I don't mind the houses/stables themselves being static but if this is the case please at some point down the line give us the option to have different house/static variants either in a new location (e.g cantha) or buy new static houses that we can pick from, lots of money for them in the gem store here. This is how they fund GW3
"If you trust them you can give others permission to decorate." "This crashed so hard." I'm sorry Preach doesn't have anyone they can trust. Giving permission to another player to put down decorations means they can put down an armor stand of themselves so you can also have them in your home instance, right?
It's a cool idea... But some JP team that'll never release the footage and addon the hell out of the game will claim WF and that's it. There's a world where Echo's event becomes "the official way to get WF," but that's a social construct. People who don't participate in the event will still max addon in secrecy, and post that they're the first to get the achievements. What can they do, realistically? Ask Yoshi-P to make the RWF the only place where WF is considered official? Sure, but people still need to care about that. I can already see it: "WoW raiders come in and make the rules now?" Don't underestimate this (XIV) community's ability for toxicity, Preach. Out there, it's not like in your FC.
@@ch.k.3377I'm not writing it off, it will most likely happening, what I am saying is that it was mentioned because the NCsoft executives were getting pressed about having 1 whole profitable game in NCwest so they basically said well well gw3 is happenign!!! gw3 most likely exists in the early early early early stages, so I wouldn't expect it for 4-7 years.
They should instead spend that budget on converting the game to run on a brand new engine that allows big performance and visual gains as well as an update combat system/feel. Then spam as much cosmetics as you want. The prettier it looks, the more people buy
What a great guy to interview, every second he sounded like he didn't want to be there, shortest answers on the planet, why did he want to be interviewed mid stream when he's that shit at it with zero enthusiasm, good on preach trying to salvage that trainwreck
preach litterally said before he got on the call "idk if these guys have any experience being intervied" and then the dude litterally said "its 4am for me rn and ive personally never done an interview like this before" 🤣 he still gave good info even if he didnt sound very animated lol
I can't believe it took Anet so long to implement proper housing. Its a money printer and they have needed a non intrusive money printer for a very long time. Hope this spells good things for the future.
Which characters can return? Sargeras and the Titans, Illidan, Sylvanas are surefire. Medivh? Kil'jaeden and/or Archimond? N'zoth/C'thun/Yogg-Saron/Y'shaarj?
Definitely a “garrison” home like WoW but a nice replacement for Home Instance. However, remember that garrisons were fun for a while (battles with your friends) but as usual, once they were decorated, they were quickly abandoned. Point of MMO is community play. Still, GW2 hasn’t disappointed so I’m looking forward to the new expansion.🤞
The difference is you couldn't really customize your garrison. Every garrison looked pretty much the same for every player of the same faction. The only differences were what buildings you chose, and eventually 90% of the players picked the same ones because they were the most profitable ones. This is more like a combination of garrisons (personal home instance + gathering nodes both of which existed in GW2 before WoD), and customizability of Path of Exile hideouts. I'm curious if there's gonna be an import/export option like Path of Exile has.
Don't worry, Blizzard will try to copy it. They will copy like they did for the last 12 years of Guild Wars 2 and fail. Just like they failed with Dragonflight and the upcoming Expansions.
@@StickofTrue funny, almost every thing blizzard copies and puts their shine on though, over its life time has tended to be better than the Original. So much so that alot of this copying that wow's done in the past became the standard of most mmos' since.
@talisredstar1543 wow tried (and failed) to copy the hype surrounding endwalker back when that was the latest ff14 expansion. Blizzard's copying was painfully obvious, and they got clowned on
@@ladyer0n199 Every MMO that has had any success has taken from other MMO's. Things we take for granted in wow, came from other MMO's of the past. But even Preach among other RU-vidrs have said it and it is true. When Blizzard takes an idea, and puts their spin on it. Most of the time, not ALL the time, it has turned out well for the WoW Players. I"m not here to be Blizzard's spokesmen. They have done alot to hurt themselves in the past. But i enjoyed alot of the changes in Dragonflight and i'm enjoying what i've seen in the beta for TWW. My original comment is as it was. I want housing in wow, but i'm not so naive to think that they are going to give it to us any time soon.
I love how everytime an MMO gets a housing system everyone just turns and looks at blizzard like "So, feel like copying this yet or we still gonna be homeless bums?"
I prefer the FFXIV and LOTRO system myself with "limited plots" because of exactly what they stated - a neighborhood feel. The difference is LOTRO was very good about opening new districts, but you couldn't own more than one home and there were other restrictions that FFXIV should put into place. I like the ESO and Wildstar type of housing too, but it's just not the same as having a neighborhood and being able to see what other's have worked on.
GW2 has the option to add a neighborhood system later if they wanted, but there is little wrong with the Wildstar system often stated as the best housing in any mmo ever.
I hate the neighborhood system because you ARE competing with other plots for space. Good luck if you want to be in a free company on a popular server AND get a house but get screwed over by the lottery/buying system, no house for you and people RARELY give up their houses, ever. If we could choose other people's houses to have in a neighborhood for merely viewing, that would be my ideal sweet spot.
There are people who have played ff14 since launch who have tried to have their own plot of land and never could because the original system encouraged botting to grab them so you could sell them for real money on 3rd party sites, and the new lottery system is completely out of your control. It completely blocks a massive portion of the player base from interacting with a whole section of the game. Then If you finally get a plot of land and find that you no longer have time to play due to irl circumstances now you have to fork over the sub to keep it and make sure you interact with the system to not lose it. The “neighborhood feel” is nice and all but wow is it not worth it even in the slightest. All the house parties and other social aspects of housing that ff14 feeds off of can be done without it.
The resource nodes can only be harvested once a day and have a fixed amount they yield, so you can't game it, the new system just makes getting it way more convenient than running through the home instances, finding all nodes and harvesting by hand
Appreciate your reaction :) Yes, teraforming will not be possible. But if you look how old the engine is and how some structures are designed I think that even if they wanted to, this is impossible to implement and probably not even Devs can easily teraform. We currently assume that with each expansion going forward we will get a new homestead area. Lastly you hope that your guildmates can place their alts there. I don't think that this will be included. Maybe they can put statues of themselves though. But! Don't forget: this game already has guild halls. There you have 4 different guild halls which different environment and you can already build stuff like race tracks there. And anet confirmed that this home stade features will also be implemented into guild halls. So you will be able to build your own house inside of your guild halls and at least have statues if all your guild mates there. Don't forget that you can also be inside of 6 different guilds at the same time!
There are less than 80 days between WoW and GW. By the way, GW2 uses the GW1 Engine. See what is possible when you have good Developers, then you don't need to waste time on Copy/Past
