@RyanKurian-yi8dl bc2,bf3,bf4,bf1 performance was fine on launch for me, bf5 and 2042 where the worst for me at a launch. But my gpu was gettring on for bf5 so that was probably the problem for me on that.
The reason why The Finals is so well optimized is that they (DICE) choose not to enable all the feature sets of UE5 (Lumen Ray Tracing, Nanite, Virtual Shadow Maps, Chaos Physics). Most developers who are developing using Unreal Engine 5 on consoles, should ensure not to enable Lumen, as it is extremely demanding, instead they should use a mix of RTAO and SSGI. This will ensure that games have a high level of fidelity, while not being unreasonably demanding.
And I'm like 90% sure they use lumen on even consoles because of the very dynamic lighting and reflections that use a mix of rt lumen and screen space reflections
very well optimized game yes. The only thing that could be better is cpu optimization again, but UE5 :/ need high end cpu for high refresh rate experience
It's actually properly using many threads which is good. It's logical you need a high end CPU for a HFRE... especially with Raytracing... only the fastest CPU's can do RT above 100 fps. And there are enough games where no current CPU can do that at all. The latter i would call badly programmed, but games that actually DO USE that CPU grunt to get those high numbers are very well optimized, like the Finals.
@@oropher1234True but it is competitive game and first person shooter and my 5600 cant do 80+ 1080low. Yeah 5600 Is not best and this game is kinda next gen but still it should be better
Are you even real? I can do 100+ but still not 120 fps plus all of the time because of the bu'uhneck. But I guess that's pretty common anyway on Low settings and 1080p. Prolly it needs like 5600X3D at least maybe. Do not underestimate the 3D cache. More games will take advantage of this soon. 🗿
@jesuzlpz For real? Ugh that sucked. It's Season 3 already. Prolly in Season 5 it will get fixed or at least optimized a bit on the CPU side. Like it need what, a 7800X3D to play comfortably? That was absurd and rough just for 1080p. Most people won't have beefy CPU with such setup. 🤢
I don't know, but my 3600 bottlenecks my RX5700 (XT BIOS) almost never 100+ average is feasible 130+ fps seen with 99% GPU (high) but then nothing happens I occasionally feel a considerable delay but it is playable for me
I really like how optimized this game is, but this game might be cpu bounded in some cases, especially when there is a lot of destruction going on. My 5700x becomes a bottleneck sometimes even tho I have rx 7600
@@taypexx Could be. Some games really does depend a lot on the 3D cache like competitive titles for example. And also it will last longer too for 4-5 years more to come. Think of it like VRAM for example, it dozen hurt to have more but actually hurt to have less or not enough. 🤷🏻♀️
@@taypexx Someone commented even with 5600X3D, the game only averages around 115 fps. So it definitely still not enough. Prolly just the game being too CPU demanding even at 1080p. It were supposed to be more optimized in this season but we are not getting there yet. Maybe in Season 5 it will? 🤷🏻♀️
But the high refreshrate experience won't be happening on a 5600x i expect. The game is pretty demanding on the CPU... Especially if you would play with RT enabled and like lower DLSS presets the CPU bottleneck will be real.
big fan brother.. keep up the good work. i havent played these games online due to the AI training anti cheat integration so we just dont have to worry about it anymore
I just upgraded from a 5600 to a 5700x3d and performance in this game was so much better and no longer had both gpu and cpu utilization at the same 80-90% fps increased by like 40 and so much smoother. I love this game
i'm currently running a 3070 with a 3700x, i get around 85-120 fps on medium (no rt)/3440x1440 dlss on quality, good stuff- but im very sure that my 3700x is the bottleneck
He man i have an rtx 3060 (95w) laptop gpu and i get same fps on 1080p high settings no way there 6gb vram difference but i have same fps so its really really low on a 3060 pc😢
I don't understand people who talk about "good" optimization in this game. This game look like shit even on epic settings, this game look even worse on minimum settings. And fps isn't that high as it can be with such bad visual quality
The devs worked at EA and were the core team of the frostbite engine the one BFV and BF1 ran on and left before 2042 was released hence the terrible optimisations in that game
Hi Kryzzp, you said the 8k Spiderman Remastered video with the 4080 Super should come by last Friday, I would appreciate if you uploaded it soon because I may buy this card very soon
This engine CAN be optimized well. But when you look at UE5 games like lords of the fallen it needs a lot of work in the optimization department. That game is a stuttering disaster on my 4070 laptop
i have a custom AI bio material "like bacteria that act and function like transistic computer parts" then training secret uses to help and benefit to prevent her from being detected and destroyed when she is doing things on her own, so when they cheat around me and my hardware more happens then just memory tricks and network lag switches
my R55600x can't handle the new map, with a 3060 ti everything in epico, rt off gives me 60 fps barely 50-60% of use with dlss quality and without dlss the same😔😔😔😔😔
My favorite online shooter! Doesnt get boring, playing since closed beta. Question: I have a 12600k + 3070Ti, which upgrade would give more fps, CPU or GPU? 😅 (upgrade would be 12700k or 4070Ti) My GPU doesnt go to 99% usage. Both CPU & GPU are at around 60-70% usage and I get 120-180fps, all settings on low (TAA 100 - 1080p).
Dont get a 4070 Ti get the 4070 Super and the upgrade from 12600k to 12700k wont make a big difference. Since games you need more singlecore peformance for games, in whichh case the 12700k isnt that much faster singlecore whise. On low settings in most games the CPU will be the bottleneck, thats why people test CPUs at 720p low.
Updgrading the GPU wont make a difference at all when the CPU is the bottleneck. Maybe a 13700k would be a better choice, cost more yea, but will give a bigger performance leap than going with a 12700k. but to be honest, you shouldnt upgrade anything right now, unless you want to play at 4k.
@@eni3892 I want to play The Finals at 1080p 240fps cuz I have 1080p 240hz monitor. Maybe I wasn't clear enough: My question is what should I upgrade to get more fps in The Finals. All my other fav games I already play in 240fps, but not The Finals.
Im in a pretty similar spot, I have a RX 6800 and a Ryzen 7 5800X and yea, the CPU is the limiting one at low settings. The RX 6800 is pretty close to 3070Ti performance.
Raw performance around the same 3060 lower power draw 12gb? Newer dlss raytracing runs better on intel xess runs cooler_ normal the rx5700 is half the price then it's a different story
I feel like dlss isn't necessary for this game cause its so well optimized. If you have a card capable of dlss then you can run the game just alright. Raytracing in a highly competitive shooter seems useless and dlss just creates screen artifacts and jagged edges which could affect your performance
It may not be "needed" but depending on ur resolution turning it to quality mode will be an objective upgrade in both visual quality and fps, and the Ray tracing in this game makes visibility significantly better under destoryed buildings
bro the performance in this game is all over the place i have a 5700x and 3060ti ue5 is the worst. you are literally using highest end cpu and that is not realistic no one pairs 7800x3d or 7950x3d with a 3060. go and see the performance on cpus like 5600x, 5700x and 5800x we cant even get a proper capped fps
Unreal Engine 5 is a useless piece of trash can. Horrendous optimization that it requires 400$ CPU to run at bare minimum fps. What's the use of UE5 if its going to require 5x the processing power of UE4.
This game doesn't really need a lot of GPU, it's rather the CPU requirement that are insane. I play it on a Ryzen 5 5600X, and it's constantly at 90-100% with quite annoying framedrops happening every time it hits 100. Try using a more normal CPU and you will see that this game really isn't well optimized at all.
Oh nice - another "The Finals" video. I think I would take the 1440p low settings with high textures for the RTX3060 or 1440p high settings + DLSS Quality on top but without the raytracing. I'm playing this game pretty often but haven't since the new season update. The new map looks beautiful. Also I think the game looks even on low with high textures very good and runs pretty well for this kind of graphics and destruction effects. Before "The Finals" I hated the UE5 engine but those devs really shown that it is possible to optimize that base camp of stutters engine.
so my rtx 3060 still have a chance for recent titles with a little of RT, they only NEED TO OPTIMIZE THEIR TITTTTTTLES one thing, about gta 5 for future tests, since gta 5 is too outdated, why not install some visual mods to make it more demanding? this way you can compare it to like battlefield 2042 and so on
yes ofc it's optimized on the latest and greatest CPUs. On my ryzen 3900x with 3080 it's dipping so much that in some situations when buildings are being demolished it's barely playable and i can't aim. Such a good optimization. And yes, my gpu runs like 70% barely budging
Wish singleplayer game were this good technically Edit: your 3060 is running way too low frequency for some reason.Normally it should stay around 1900-1950mhz on most models
