The Finnish Long Drink 

Well, this is quite interesting. This beverage you're reviewing is one of many, I suppose, copies of the original product made by the Finnish beverage company Hartwall. As you say, the original product was actually supposed to be something like a welcome beverage or theme drink for the Helsinki Olympics in 1952. Today, Hartwall makes what is perceived as the _real_ long drink, the Original Long Drink. There's actually a whole line of them now, you can look it up. Common Finnish nicknames for this product made by Hartwall include _raitapaita_ ('the striped shirt'), _betoni_ ('concrete') and _harmaa_ ('a grey one'). It's still a popular beverage in Finland, and I think there's been some attempts to introduce it in the States. I have no idea how the product you've reviewed compares to the Original Long Drink, but they could be quite similar. Cheers! ice cubes is a must. great drink

It's a cocktail made from combining grapefruit-soda/lemonade/pop and gin. Needs to be absolutely ice cold (best if you put it in the freezer before drinking) and best served with the glass FULL of ice. In finland bars have 3 taps. one beer, one cider and one long drink. Finns usually call it "lonkero" which also happens to translate to "tentacle"

I can see that making a good bird feeder very nice, and sounds like good stuff

Very cool bird feeder, I'd be worried about the label peeling off from being outside in the elements though.
