Not because I think Finnish are the only people to have a culture of bathing and/or spiritualism in some kind of heated rooms or tents, but because the word "sauna" itself is the most Finnish thing in the world. It's an original Finnish word, that only has some relatives in languages that are closely related to and/or derived from Finnish, and it's really old. So, sauna is from Finland - end of. A place to heat rocks in a pit closed with a tent or a room, might not be - although the tradition of Sauna in Finland goes at least as far as ~1000 BC.

North-Western Russia belonged to same cultural zone with Finland from Stone Age to Iron Age, rise of Novgorod finally cutting off that culture connection. So North-West Russian sauna or Baltic-Finnic sauna, same origin.

Well we in Finland still overuse our resources in a massive way and if everyone on the planet lived like us we would need at least 3 more. It is true that the big polluters are the bigger nations like USA and China and what not, but we still have to take part. And with innovations like the pulled oats and other things you saw in the video, we can also be much bigger than what our nation is.

But someone needs to show the example and make new innovations to make change look easier. I think all the nordics have taken this role and just hoping the bigger countries would follow us.

Finland is the best place to be a mother and have a baby in. the laws are very strict, to bring security for any1 who is expecting a child.

Fathers get 9 weeks of which 3 weeks can be shared with a mother.

It's even better than 9 months maternity leave. Parents of a new baby are entitled to the following paid leave: * Around 4.5 months of maternity leave, starting from 5 weeks before the baby is due (or earlier if necessary), which can only be taken by the mother except in special circumstances. * Around 6 months of parental leave which can be taken by either parent or split between the parents (starting after the maternity leave ends). * 9 weeks of paternity leave (taken by the father), of which 3 weeks can be taken at the same time the mother is on maternity/parental leave and the remainder must be taken at a different time.
