Nice find! Go easy on Pete, I can hardly find where I left my glasses while he found a needle in a haystack!! It's easy for people to think mining is as simple as picking a rock up, but it's 99% sweat and trouble for that 1% of satisfaction.

Only bad thing about finding that much is we only get to see one 8 minute video the whole year. Wish I could have seen more of the digging and less of the not finding anything. Great job though and stunning opal.

I have just finish watching your big find on opal hunters I see you using big Jack hammer with chisel .Ok to dig but when you find opal change to smaller machine with pick not chisel. It won't break the opal like the big machine. DENNIS QLD CHILDERS

I think the hunting and mining is actually interesting but the fake drama drives me crazy. It's always the last hour of the last day with the last. drop of fuel. How many last days are there in a single season? And if they only find it on the last day, maybe they should spend the season in the pub and only go out on the last day.

What's ironic is 100 ft away from where they don't look is the mother lode
