Can you clarify one thing.. Kha and krub is according to the gender of speaker or to whom we address?? I mean, if I am a girl and talking to a man, what should I say?? Swa dee krub Or Swa dee kha??
@@dreamchasers4747 you use "KHA" Regardless of what gender you are talking to, as long as the speaker is a women, or identifies as a women, "Kha". Is what should be used

I learned Thai by not reading them in romanization but learning their alphabet first and on how to pronounce each alphabet. Hahaha for me that way is faster in learning both for writing and reading then will not be hard for you in speaking Thai. It is easier to learn their alphabet but it really did take a very long time for me to memorize and remember the words in Thai hahaha
After watching Thai GL series, RU-vid read my mind and recommended this video 😆 Now I'm ready to rewatch everything and see how many words I can recognize

Kha for girl speaking thai and Khap for boys speaking thai. Krub is khrap they pronounce it as krub. Krub is same as khap. They just put "R" in it to exaggerate the langauge. Though it is acceptable.
I'm crying literally, because the words sounds inside my head with the voices of bright, gulf, Mew, off, gun, new, tay, Saint, Perth, Zee,... All of them are in my head repeating the words!!!!! 😂🤣🤣

Your tongue won't twist. But your tone might. Thai is designed to be tongue friendly. But at the same time it's also a tonal language, which is quite difficult to master.

I had a neighbor in high school, he was a foreign exchange student from Bangkok. To make the story short we became inseparable he was my best friend. This takes me back because I’ve been obsessed with Thai culture asking him how to interpret Thai language to English for me. I haven’t seen him in person since he went back to Bangkok. But I am so happy we stay in touch

Thanks, I just found your channel tonight and think that I will be learning Thai from you. I like the way you spell out the words and pronounce everything at least twice or more. I have a feeling, based upon watching this video twice, that you will be a good teacher. Hopefully in December I'll be able to understand and speak the very very respectful basics of at least these ten Thai phrases.
But for me 2moon and gen y the series is the main reason and 2nd one is i love Thai language 3rd one I want to live in Thailand..... 😌 just hope that I'll do it one day... ☺

For me I’m learning Thai bc my boss is Thai and we talk about how she’s sad she can’t always communicate to people so I was like I know I’ll learn some of her phrases😃 she’s legit the kindest lady I’ve ever met and so pretty!!
Thank you for this great lesson. 😃 I'm Vietnamese and when I listen to Thai, there are lots of syllables that sound like Vietnamese but they don't have the same meaning, unfortunately for me. 😅For example, "Hiu" means "hungry" in Thai but "Hiểu" means "understand" in Viet.

I'm trying to surprise my thai boyfriend by learning thai and this has been a great help! He moved to Finland when he was a child that being said he speaks finnish just like me, but I decided to learn some thai and hopefully surprise him and his family in positive way. For me it's Learn Thai because of T-pop and Thai Dramas like Game Rak Game Rai that have no subtitles Learn Korean because of Kpop and Webtoons/Manhwa's Learn Taiwanese because of Taiwanese Pop and Taiwanese Dramas Learn Japanese because of Anime and Japanese Dramas
You guys can do it! It's not that difficult. Consistency and practice is what's important, and understanding the phonetics so that you can speak and hear accurately
I speak English natively and Thai seems so intimidating but I am going to try as I loved my trip to Thailand and respectfully want to learn the language…🙏🏾❤

I love Thai people, they are so sensitive and polite. It's funny but whenever I hear them speak I think they are enacting some play on stage. They seem to be so involved. This is not just a language, it's an emotion.
My bf’s mother speaks in mostly Thai as she’s not confident in her English. Learning some Thai will hopefully show her that I’m happy to communicate even if it’s not perfect, and hopefully show her that I want to put in the effort to talk to her just like she does to talk to me. She’s a lovely lovely woman. Not to mention language learning is a hobby for me (Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese and ancient languages were my favourites to learn) so this will be fun :)))
