You could’ve just learned old school kick flip because it’s easier to learn then a kickflip instead of just going straight to kick flips

hey I can ollie pretty decently, but I'm having trouble committing to ollie-ing onto and off curbs, any tips?

@@dewnsie just dont think while doing it, maybe youll fall a few times or like fail to commit but eventually youre gonna gain confidence over time, or maybe youre not riding fast enough. just try and block out any thought, really the way i nailed it was to ollie up manual pads at the skatepark that were a bit higher than the curbs i was ollieing. also try both ways fs/bs, found out bs was a bit harder for me.

I'm just not a fan of the way it looks to be honest. I can do this trick really easily, but it just doesn't spark joy when I land this one no matter how clean I get it. I personally have no problems with this trick. Don't avoid a trick just because someone says it looks ugly. And definitely don't worry about the stupid bullshit people say about the things "posers" do. The only real posers in skateboarding are the people who'll critique you over every little thing like holding a board by the trucks, or pushing mongo. Don't worry about only progressing either. Skating is about having fun, and enjoying yourself.

I don't know how flips can be ugly.

Star-Doge a lot of skaters can’t Varial after learning tre flips so it falls under the “if you can’t do it, it’s sucks” category.

Same I can come closer to landing one of thoes than a real kick flip

Star-Doge I can varial kickflip consistently, but mine is ugly and bounces off the ground sometimes. I always feel obsessed to make my kickflip better and better, but I the varial flip for some reason gives me no drive, just an easy ugly land that I can’t seem to make myself care about.
