Warframe gets away with it because they've actively made it easier to get necessary materials like Forma, Orokin Catalysts and Reactors, etc. The experience is far more new player friendly in the last couple years and the cash grab is really only in cosmetics. By comparison, First Descendant puts the grind up front for everything. 3% base drop for the resource that gives you more capacity. That's insane.
@Tsz_AE it's not. You still farm forma and you still farm orokin catalyst or reactor bp's from nightwave, but both are more straightforward and give guaranteed results for time invested. It's not like First Descendant where everything is a coin toss on whether or not your time is rewarded. If you like getting your dick punched in by RNG, more power to ya, but even looter game players don't like having their time outright wasted.
@@XotticFTW warframe doesn't hold your hand for anything. the first descendant definitely does. it is a dumbed down/Asian version of warframe with worse monetization and drop rates. maybe they will change but..look at who is making the game so probably not
That is the main reason why I stopped playing. And looking forward, even if I do get all powered up where I want to be, really, for what???? So I can play the same levels all over, just on hard now??? No thanks. Like Warframe and destiny 2, these games can collect digital dust. I have better games to play.
This game is truly amazing. It's so fun. I haven't enjoyed a game this much in 5+ years. This game brought my passion for gaming back out. It's not perfect but they're updating it a lot and making changes based on what the community wants. I hope this game stays successful and stays a fun game to play money free. I'm free to play and having a blast.
I geniunely feel sad for people thinking they like this game and putting hundreds of hours, in a fundamentally, waste of time. Once human is about to get there too with their season ass resets and lack of substance for both games.
@@zelorig8887 Weird take, if you think that why are you even commenting on a gaming chanel? By that logic, anything you are doing is also a waste of time, even prolonging your life through excercising, because you will die eventually. You could even die next week. Now to the actual point, If you care, doing things that you enjoy isn't inherently a waste of time. This game inherently is a waste of anyone's time, despite you think "you are enjoying it" because at it's core is an awful game, with great boobs and "fairly OK gun play" with ugly stiff animations and a good grappling hook mechanic, and "the good" objectively ends up there. When you know in the first 3 hours what are you going to be up to the next 500 hours, it's inherently a bad game design. And even worse, when all that it's in a repetitive boredom gameplay loop. On top of that, you add ridiculous degrees of monetization even for F2P standards. On top of that you add waiting 2 days real time, considering you have a job, to get the shit your worked for. On top of that there is null progression, other than higher numbers?, no new skills for any character. And list goes on and on. SO YEAH, if anybody is "enjoying" that, it's because they don't have anything else to play, or are very desperate on killing time, or have a poor perspective of what an actual good video game is, and they will find this out way too late.
@@zelorig8887 Doing things you enjoy isn't inherently a waste of time. Enyoing bad things is inherently a waste of anyone's time. This game is objectively bad, its's not even a --it isn't a game for me-- situation. Great boobs and asses, decent gun play and a fun grappling hook, good looking game that's about it. Anything beyond that is ASS. Objectively ASS.
@@Rooka567 Enjoying something isn't a waste of time. It is however, a waste of time enjoying bad things. And for this game it isn't even subjective that it's actually bad, it's objective. Thus enjoying this game is an actual waste of anyone's time. If you wanna go more macro, living is a waste of time, simply because your gonna black out for eternity a random day in the future
---------- how about this - IGN reviewer is one person and one person's thoughts are their own, so it's a free game, let people try it and if they like it - great, if not that's fine too --------- should never judge something just based on what 1 person says. Nuts.
I feel like he was trying to say when you have more weapons it gets harder to make each one unique like robo quest has a set of guns and each one can get any combination of perks or alt fires so even tho technically your using the same gun each one feels new
From playing the beta to the actual game this game has been my fav other than the micro transactions and loot drop chances their is no underside to the game
IGN has been completely wrong about half the titles they report about. Tired of half ass content creators bashing brand new games. Find something else to complain about other than a title that has barely been out its beta a month. Give the Devs time to work and take into consideration what the people want fixed/changed. every single complaint you keep saying is "spot on" are simple crybaby complaints expected when a game releases.
My honest problems with the first descendant. 1. The missions are most definitely made specifically for you to be with 3 other people or for you to be overpowered than them. 2. Story I completely ignored but from what I got from it: Some iron hearts are relics connected to dimensions and people want them. So, bad guy wants powerful item ahh script. 3. Boss fights get fucking unbearable in the later stages. I was stuck on a boss who would become immune in the last minute which would waist my 10 minutes of fucking progress that I did with teammates. Or they would do some shit ass move to insanely heal. 4. Monetisation is beyond ass lmao. To buy a skin it’s 125-250 credits. But to COLOUR those skins is even worse. You gotta pay 25 for a colour to be attached to that skin and that skin ALONE. And because the head and body skins are separate, that means you gonna be spending 50 for one colour. 5. Battle pass just randomly exists ngl. I didn’t even notice it was a thing until I saw it pop up on my screen. Don’t even bother buying it. However, because I’ve spent over 100 hours on Warframe. This game is actually a fucking god send compared to Warframe’s grind and problems. Although this game feels janky, it was NOT made for the average player. It was made for Warframe and destiny players (the very few that are left) which obviously makes the game bad to play for people who haven’t had that experience before. If you wanna play this game and have a mind numbing experience, wait a couple weeks and let people carry you through the game. Istg playing with people who are the same level and haven’t played a game that is based around status/percentages was actually making my brain melt
People praise Warframe like it has done anything right besides cutscenes or updates. The gameplay is boring and tedious, the crafting is atrocious, mod system is annoying, nothing tells you where to go or what to do besides "do this", the weapon system is trash because you could spend all your time grinding to get a weapon that starts at lvl1 and turns out trash, your character is half the screen so you can't see. I could go on. These type of games are shit
@@theunholyknightofyoutube3893 I know lmao. But the thing with Warframe is that it’s a 10 year old game that have fixed it and made it better patch after patch, have began helping more with community feedback and stuff like that. This game has the potential to do that which is why I said “It has a lot of potential”. They even released a hot fix today to solve some drop issues
They could do the dungeons like strikes in Destiny 2. a mix of destiny 2 then boss battle is one like colossal .. Imagine that. and I hope less repetitive stuff.
Too be fair a looter shooter with 4 abilities is better than 96 that feel like ass and the orbs are not that hard if you have a AOE just shoot em then warframe and destiny have shit repetitive mission as do all looter shooters annnd people play cod every year just to hate it
TFD is boring and also nexon but if they trynna make it funnier like invest more in the holes in gameplay and optimize it better it could have been better but in the end it’s a korean mmo so 10% hope it could go over 5 years max Also you just have to (most of the time) you just need to farm 1 boss to get all parts for a frame but some of the harder frames like octavia nidus harrow oberon sevagoth and ash is super grindy
Its just less and little less offensive to taste buds than ordianry gacha games, still would rather play warframe or destiny maybe even Devision 2 over this, also I cant be the only one who noticed that armor and health looks alot like devision health an armor UI 😭
Every single system is directly copied from Warframe and Destiny and most of the were made 100 times worse to force you into the cash shop . The only real unique thing this game has to offer is a much better new player experience and the colossus. Dull and boring.
@@BlubberGub if you have a life to live and better things to do, games with this level of effort put into them are usually a huge waste of time and an unfulfilling experience, games are meant to be fun, not repeating the same content for botched % chances. This game treats its players like monkeys on a typewriter. So if you think that's what a strong willed mind needs, feel free. Play away. Be my guest. Better you waste all your time for peanuts then me 🤷🏻
@@IlIIIllIII after beating the main story and realizing what the endgame looked like, I knew the only way to "beat" the game is to stop playing. The game feels like living in a house that only has 2 rooms and 2 things to do. Don't even get me started with the: Wanna shoot some more shield balls? Or better yet! ☝🏻 The correct sequence shield ballsssyeeaaaah sounds like fun doesn't it? Ultimate (Greg) with shield balls 17 times in a row. How about banging your head against the same mission for a material you need to open fighting the same boss that no one is geared for but you, only for you to run out of time to not open the material for the 3% drop chance item you need, ran out of material? Don't worry, you can always repeat the same mission you just did to try again for that sweet sweet 3% drop chance item!
@@irithindyr “the only way to beat the game is to stop playing” no, you are far too weak to continue you must have versatile gear for all scenarios. “Feels like living in a house with 2 rooms” ever tried going to one of the 10 different maps and using a different weapon/descendant? “Banging your head for one material” there are many other options to farm from for that material not just one. “Wanna shoot spheres” you can use bunny and take them all out immediately they’re honestly the easiest part of the game you just need to get better. This is also a new game and even then it’s good so far it’s just your skill issue
