I'd say they're on par, it lacks the movement but has better gunplay, I think the real kicker is gonna be that the first descendant looks to have an actual endgame, which for me wins it over

While the game will hopefully improve, may people's concerns are the fact its made by Nexon, who have been very shady in previous games of theirs with the microtransactions.
You haven't been in base upgrading and crafting I see I've seen all the descendants and many ultimate bunnys running around They've made a ton off the day 1 already
It's definitely worth playing or at least trying it out. If anybody is scared by their monetization (which is yes predatory, but it's a f2p game, and we are talking about NEXON, go figure), but you can still get everything by just playing the game for completely free (well, you are paying with your time), and they have said that the trading system is already in development, so it will be in the game eventually. Gameplay is somewhat smooth, but it definitely needs some polishing, because there are times when it feels clunky. One of the things related to monetization caught me off guard tho, like a reactor costs $30 in the First Descendant while it's around $1.5 in warframe, you can get it for free of course, but holy shit they are out of their mind with this one.
I am not scared by the monetization, but installing TWO rootkit kernel anticheats, one EAC, the worst there is and the other BlackCipher, homecooked by... Nexon. A company that willingly took a 9m lawsuit for scamming players in the ingame shop of Maple Story and generally acting very... customer unfriendly to say it as neutral as possible. I am honestly surprised, nobody is alert anymore about seriously compromising their systems and handing over all their data to such a company, especially for a non-competitve PvE only game. On the flipside, I guess this is a non-issue for console players, as they don't have to deal with that.
Being published by NEXON shouldn't be the selling point for anyone. They are the reason I quit Maple Story, the ran Vindictusinto the ground for years. They originally helped Neople bring DFO to the west and then shut it down when they couldn't keep update parity with Korea. They publish some great games I enjoy but they also ruin a lot of them with their monetization demands they push on developers.@@aubreyleblanc2843
Compensations are sent to your mailbox inside the game. And the mail will expire so you need to claim the rewards and activate them. It would be nice to be able to activate them later on.
Monetization is horrible. Prices are insane atm. When a battle pass doesn't give enough currency back to buy the next one on fully completion, you know the devs are greedy. Even Cod and Fortnite give you enough after a 1 time purchase, they even give some extra currency to use one cosmetics.
Enjoyed the beta's and fun time to be had. Will be playing this as a side to WF, I like it's similar but different. Gun play feels god and big fan of the grappling mechanic 😊
im enjoying it so far, massive L for not being able to earn the premium stuff tho. But like everything new, gotta wait for the honeymoon phase to be over before giving an honest review
Honestly, gameplay wise it was a little slow for me and not that interesting also the the premium currency pricing is outrageous, I'm still going to keep playing it but I may drop it after a while.
It’s crazy how predatory the MTX model feels when there’s no trading (yet). Also dumb that the pass doesn’t give back all the currency you spent on it or that their prime access equivalents force you to overpay just to have enough. Lots of things are just plain overpriced.
Problem with any of these games, just like all the 'WoW killers', is they need to retain a playerbase. There's just not enough people willing to leave Warframe for something that's marginally different.
It's like, a watered down version of Warframe, pretty good gunplay but worse movement, the modding system has less variety but also it just came out, monetization is pretty similar but it's Nexon so you never know how bad it's going to get, looking at the "Bunny prime" suit I expect cosmetics to go down that route and I don't vibe with that...
The last game I played from Nexon Was Ghost in the Shell: First Assault which ended up getting shut down after a few years. So yeah it feels like this all over again. I don't like it and I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it... Oh, well lets enjoy the "aesthetics" of the game while it lasts xD
I just don't trust Nexon enough to bother with any game with their name attached. Remember Nexon was recently fined because they were lowering drop rates on items in another game if a person got too many lucky rolls.

I’m going to tell you right now due to the micro transactions. I will never play this game. I won’t even download it. It’s not worth my time I’m not gonna be taken for another 2 to 3 year ride like destiny one. Warframe is all I need. I feel like all the Warframe RU-vid content creators are being paid to push this game at this point. Understand you gotta keep the lights on. I still enjoy your RU-vid channel
I just refuse to play a game. That’s not gonna respect me as a player, and Warframe is like the only game in the whole industry that truly respects me. Truly Everything else can kick rocks with digital extremes until the end or until they do some stupid micro transaction BS
I promise you, if you are a warframe or destiny enjoyer then give the game a try. No one spends money on this game like how no one spends money in warframe. You’ll end up playing this game eventually and will be upset you didn’t try it sooner

Since I play the steam beta, I came into this expecting TFD and so far the game has given me TFD. I didn't come here for D2 I didn't come for WF. I came for a looter shooter that was fun that I can earn everything I want. Only people to complain are the fish who thought they were whales for playing 20$ in most games to get ahead. I do hope the end game is closer to D2 than the "endgame" of Warframe. EDIT: If this game adds player trading that's gonna be AMAZING, D2 has a better system for trading with god roll weapons, not a riven that's overpriced no the whole ass gun for trading. That will make trading feel so much better. I hope they do a market system with the Banshee -esk kiosk boss.
@@Thebatmantyler sorry, but have you ever played with any other online MULTIPLAYER game at release? There haven't been one so far that had a smooth release, you can just wait a few days until everything gets on track, and you won't experience any of these issues.
its just a worse outriders period its as boring as it with a worse progression because its monetized to hell as a predatory practice also dont save non legendary guns when you infuse a gun up its stat rolls stay at that lower level range and then you gotta reroll for them again and you can spend a crafted or bought consumable item to lock rolls btw but its a spot machine the game even the paint system is loaded predatory bs monetization bait the modding is better then warframe for sure and mod capacity also comes from gun and character proficiency tho so there is that the games taken some good systems from warframe and diablo/outriders and watered them down and added gambling mechanics galore even the battle pass and premium version feel scummy the gameplay is bland the waifu characters are cracked as fuck while the male ones are bad or just ok except enzo who is broken if you like gunplay ngl hes great but its a nexon asian whale player coomer player casino in a game skin the missions are boring like outriders the bosses are boring the game has a good structure and framework to be insane tho so if they are listening maybe it becomes good one day rn its mid at best if u wanna spend money btw the started bundle gives you a fuckton of useful currency and mats actually which i was shocked to see
First descendant is one of the most boring games I've ever played. It makes warframe missions look like the witchers 3. It make Destiny 1 at launch look like baldurs gate 3. $5 for 10 inventory slots and since the guns have random rolls (and the many variations of guns) you are gonna go over the cap that you can earn before you even get to master rank 5.. I spend more time with inventory management than I do playing th game. Player base will die down once the new hype dies down. Already has a 48% on steam and steam was preloaded before the game released with paid positive reviews. Whomever promotes this game is should be ashamed of themselves. Plus there is an article out already that this game is 20x more expensive than warframe and keep in mind, there is no trading allowed either.
@@colby8104you have a storage. You don’t want to keep every gun that drops either. What annoys me is that guns share inventory space with the reactors and external components.
