Even though Dexter won Mr Olympia and won more competition than anybody builder in the history of bodybuilding and was in the top five Olympians for the last 20 years straight. He is still underrated my opinion. He is one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time No one will beat his record of competition wins and Olympia placings .

Sometimes it’s not about being the best. It’s about being the most persistent. Dexter hung around until he finally saw an opening. Jay was clearly off but that’s the beauty of the sport. You never know who’s going to come in off.

What I love about physiques such as Dexter's, is that they're grotesquely huge (by everyday standards) yet at the same time they remain incredibly elegant, to the point where they don't even strike me as particularly big: they just look *right*.

The nice part is if you were to lose to anyone, Dexter was the best to lose to. He was fighting for so many years to win. That is why Jay smiled. He was sad, but everyone was happy for him.

Probably the best underdog story in bodybuilding. I followed all through the glory years of pro bodybuilding when the stages were literally packed with monsters of all races and creeds. The "BLADE" got no love from the judges when mass was king. Conditioning wise, he was on another level. But he rose to the top, through hard work and perseverance. Packed on the nessessary mass without getting bloated like the rest. It was inevitable. Any man that ever stood on stage with him at the O, new in his heart that someday the BLADE would claim the Sandow.
